what an awesome game. the level design, the riddles, the sound - everything pretty much perfect.
The only thing to criticize here is: while you basically made a game of all wildcards and massively succeeded not forcing them in but blend them together perfectly - the game is not really on theme, imho.

This played really well on a gamepad! It was also the right amount of difficulty for me. The art was very pretty. The level design was solid. The transitions between scenes were smooth, and I liked the way the ghost followed and had comments on everything. Good execution on the wildcards, while the theme at least played into the story.

Really solid game. I hit a bug after getting the plunger where going to one of the rooms froze the game which was unfortunate, but I was having fun. I really liked the ghost commentary throughout.
Apart from the bug I would only ask if you can allow an input to progress the dialog. I felt like I had to speed read instead of enjoy the story more.

This game was amazing - I loved the humor, all the items felt like they had their place, and I loved the little ghost following me around. 5 stars all around!!! No notes!

Absolutely phenomenal. No notes. Just a really, really solid little game. Excellently written characters, beautiful pixel art, and a tightly designed map traversed with intuitive and fun mechanics. I literally said to myself "no f***ing way" when I realized what the last power did. Not to mention, of the games I've played so far, probably the most complete and persistent implementation of all three wildcards at once, which is crazy. And you have controller support??? Full marks all around.

Very complete game and honestly Fantom was a wonderful companion. I was so annoyed yet amused when he misled me into jumping into the death ooze at the beginning.

Very good tight and complete game! You nailed the theme and I can see a lot of effort was made in planning the pacing, level design, graphics, audio, etc. Well done! I completed it but only with the cheat. Got a little frustrated because of the player movement because it feels similar to like a Mario or Celeste but its slightly different. So maybe I'm just not used to it. The character either walked too fast or stopped abruptly where I didn't think it would stop. Jumping-wise, it hits its head on the ceiling and floats there for a second so I'm not sure what mechanic/purpose that's for. Lastly, I think the ending was anti-climatic. I was prepping for the ghost to be the final boss. It lied throughout the game so I figured it lied about not being the cause of my plight. So great game and I'd play this with my kids!
Ha, it's funny you saw the ghost that way. I always intended for him to be kind of an anti-hero, who might be devious but is really just lonely. In fact part of me wanted to explore him ultimately becoming part of a pair mechanic with the player but it proved too big a challenge for one week. Anyway thanks for playing and for your detailed thoughts!

Really nice job on this! I liked the mix of metroidvania with platforming and I thought the tools you got were cool especially the jetpack fire extinguisher. The art looks nice and I liked the particles in the water. I wish there were some harder sections or maybe some optional collectables that were harder to get as overall I thought the game was pretty easy. Also idk if I'm weird but I really wish you could use arrow keys to move instead of only wasd. Overall very impressive work on this, great job!

Brilliant! a perfect way to incorporate all wildcards, the ghost following is very dynamic and nice and the platforming is just right. im super impressed. Quite challenging without a single savepoint, but thats what chill mode is here for thankfully. Made it to the end.

Thank you so much for having controller support! My mouse hand is tired from playing all the mouse games. The level design is lovely. Trying to fly without touching the floor or the ceiling was too difficult for me, but chill mode to the rescue! Overall, the game was a delight to play. Very well done.

Wow!!! I'm amazed that you did everything by yourself. It's just such a good work. The graphic is very charming, the gameplay is done right and I love how Tom follows you around and fool you.
The only down side is that I couldn't read fast enough the intro scene, I would have liked a button to advance after each piece of text. Everything else is just fant-om-astic

Loved it. Really liked the different powerups you picked up, with my favorite being the fire extinguisher. I'm also a big fan of Tom. He just wants a friend.
