That is astounding, so it's no wonder that we're now dealing with the issue of information overload. Personalization and recommender systems are now available to help users enhance their experience in trying to search and process relevant information easily and quickly. Web personalization techniques and services are very promising when it comes to alleviating the problem of information overload. We aim to propose, in this paper, an ontology-based approach to provide personalized search results for handicraft woman in which we extract knowledge about her such as personal information, preferences and interests then we represent the user profile model. Added to that, we enrich our contribution by exposing some implementation figures that present the applicability of our approach.

Consequently, a user desires to obtain information suitable for his entered queries. It is worth mentioning that Social Network use has emerged due to emerging devices for new technologies and advanced Web techniques. In order to answer this need, we propose to enrich our user model ontology for handicraft domain by FOAF ontology. In this paper, we propose an approach for user model ontology construction. Then, we propose two algorithms for matching and merging ontologies so as to achieve the enrichment with FOAF. We define then some bridge axioms. We illustrate the applicability of our approach through a concrete example.

Exploring knowledge in the social networks is a challenge caused by the exploding size of data in these networks. Thus, using ontologies better fits this challenge. We propose, in this paper, an approach to combine these technologies (context, mobile and ontology) together to have a contextualized ontology helping to assist a mobile user in his information retrieval from the social networks. We end up by giving emphasis to our future works.

This leads to a difficulty in obtaining information relevant to their needs and adapted to their contexts. In order to better solve these problems, personalized systems where a user model contains information about user context and profile have arisen. As a means to represent user information, ontology constitutes a better technique of Semantic Web that improves the way to maintain user information. In this paper, we propose an approach through that we construct the ontological user model in a first time and we integrate this model in a personalized system in a second time. In this context, we present main concepts of our ontology. We have enriched our ontology with SWRL rules on the one hand and FOAF ontology concepts on the other hand. This has the advantage of deducing services adapted to the user through a personalized system. After that, we expose functionalities of our system with evaluation.
Intelligent systems are good in presenting adapted information and services to the systems users'... more Intelligent systems are good in presenting adapted information and services to the systems users' contexts. In fact, they are often based on contextual and profiling information. Thus it is necessary for these systems to have an explicit model for the user profile as well as for the user context. Ontologybased user profile and context modeling is especially important for reasoning systems that can benefit from inference on ontology representing different knowledge. In this paper, we propose an ontology-based user model to represent both user profile and context. Then, we give some rules for users' recommendation in the handicraft domain which is the domain of research project that we are involved in. The aim of the research project is to help handicraft women from emerging countries to use new technologies in order to improve their socioeconomic level. Our ontology enriched by SWRL (Semantic Web Rule Language) rules has the advantage to infer adapted services to handicraft woman through a system.

Personalized recommendation systems applied with online social networking assist delivering a personalized content to Web-based application users. Indeed, these systems offer services that can greatly improve the response to users' needs in their search for persons or for some products. In order to model these users, semantic web technologies such as ontologies are used to explicit the hidden knowledge through using rules. In this paper, we propose to measure the similarity between the user context and other users' contexts in our ontology. Then, we integrate this measure in recommendation model to infer recommendation items (raw material, production tool, supplier name, etc.) based on SWRL rules. The experiments and evaluations show the applicability of our approach.

In fact, when ontologies are used in these systems, they permit to model knowledge in an understandable manner by human and machine. Social web and especially social network sites permit to people to connect and search for information and for persons. In order to model concepts for the social network, we use concepts from the FOAF ontology. In this paper, we create an ontology for user model in social web and handicraft domain.
