Its purpose is to determine the most important issues that should be considered when designing for a particular culture. It is also intended to investigate the extent of the usage of the published usability guidelines and tools in the design of the user interface of a website. The data collection instrument consisted of a 7-page questionnaire for the designers and in many cases, this was followed with an interview or an email to the surveyed designers to clarify their responses. The main outcome of this study was that the designers in both countries believed that although the users share similar preferences and perceptions about many website usability issues, they differ in the importance they give to certain usability elements such as the adherence to local language, culture and religious beliefs. The results of this study proved that one-size-for-all is not the right approach for a successful website. It highlighted the need to consider the customers' cultural background and their real world experience.

The use of IT to conduct business online is known as Electronic Commerce (E-Commerce). While developed countries have harnessed and adopted E-Commerce, developing countries are not yet fully adapted to its adoption.

With the advent of globalisation, website l ocalisation is becoming a powerful way to attract online customers in a global market. It consists of a number of variables such as tasks, number of users, evaluators, and other elements. This paper explores the proposal that task design can seriously influence the usability testing results. It describes how two different types of task affect results. The types explored are structured tasks and uncertain tasks. Each type of task seems to discover different types of problems. In addition, in this research, the magic number of "five users" fails to achieve the promised 85% of usability problems.

Usability testing is a method widely used for measuring the usability of a system from the perspective of real users. The main aim of this paper is to explore the efficiency of three types of usability testing method by discovering usability problems through a combination of three proposed task designs and three types of 'think-aloud' approach, and to compare the results of these methods with those of the traditional usability testing method that has been published separately. This is a missing area in usability testing. The quantitative and qualitative data are collected and analysed in order to assess the efficiency of the three combinations in terms of the usability problems encountered and their severity, and the success rate and user satisfaction of the websites being tested, through the feedback received. The research findings show clearly that the task scenarios and how they are designed and combined with different types of 'think-aloud' approaches can influence the usability testing results by discovering different types of usability problems, and can affect the results of usability measures, such as success rate, errors number and time spent.

Using a framework from previous literature, this research examines four organizational factors (Top management support, project team competencies, communication management, and project management) that affect IT projects success in Saudi Arabian public organizations and compares the outcomes with findings in Malaysian multinational companies. Furthermore, organizational culture as a moderator has been deployed in the model to examine its impact on the relationships between CSFs and IT project success. A quantitative approach using a survey questionnaire method was used to collect the data. The questionnaires were distributed to CIOs in Saudi Arabian public organizations. PLS-SEM was used to analyze the collected data and test the relevant hypotheses. The outcomes showed that there were some similarities and differences between Saudi Arabia and Malaysia. In both countries, IT project success was influenced by project management; however, it was not influenced by project team competency. Furthermore, the outcomes showed that IT project success in Saudi Arabia was influenced by top management support while it is influenced by communication management in Malaysia.
