An analysis of socioformative evaluation is presented as an alternative proposal to face the chal... more An analysis of socioformative evaluation is presented as an alternative proposal to face the challenges demanded by the knowledge society, in contrast with other approaches to evaluation. At first, three perspectives are proposed around the evaluation: functionalist, cognitive and constructivist; in a second moment, the socioformative proposal of the evaluation is exposed, taking up the methodological expositions of Tobón (2013), some innovative features of the same are revealed and go in depth into its taxonomy in contrast to the Biggs and Marzano’s proposals ; in a third moment, the procedure for the planning of the socioformative evaluation is approached, an application example is worked through a learning map constructed with criteria, evidences, domain levels and their respective weights; and in a fourth moment, some guidelines are established to design an evaluation instrument from the socioformative approach.
