Due to the current focus on the Amazon, the federal government needs to justify the increase in deforestation and present plans to reduce these rates. Realizing the need to better understand the topic, this paper aims to analyze the foreign policy actions developed for the Amazon in the Lula (2003-2010) and Bolsonaro (2019-2022) governments, focusing on forest management, considering the beginning of historical monitoring, in 1988, made by the Amazon Deforestation Monitoring Program. In addition, the discussion also contemplates Brazil's performance within the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda. The results of this survey show that the lowest continuous rates of deforestation occurred between 2005 and 2011, while the highest deforestation rates were registered between 2019 to 2021.

The first objective is to discuss the diffusion of values regarding social-environmental responsibility in the current public sphere and how they confer comparative advantages in obtaining differentiated income by companies. The second objective is to apply this discussion to the Amazon by exemplifying the relationship that Natura company develops with traditional Pan-Amazon communities, as well as the notion of sustainability and how the Amazon can be a strategic region when it comes to environmental crises. The methodology used was based on scientific articles, magazine publications directly linked to the environmental balance of the companies and reports of the Natura company that were published in their website. We concluded that the way to produce market singularities is increasingly due to the combination of production and value diffusion in the public sphere, including the symbolic appropriation of the strategic Spaces of production.

Federal Highway Police (PRF), Brazilian Institute of Natural Resources and Environment-IBAMA and Military Police of Amapá, through the Environmental Battalion-PMAP/BA, institutions that work in the fight against environmental crimes in the Franco-Brazilian border area. The research is divided in the conceptualization of the frontier area, pointing out difficulties and demonstrating the dynamics of the environmental occurrences. For that, field research was carried out in the months of March to July 2016, survey of sources related to the theme, statistics, interviews and subsequent treatment, organization and conclusions of the data surveyed with production of tables, charts and maps. The work is divided into two parts: the first part discusses the expansion of modernity to the South and the construction of modern coloniality; in the second, we bring the experience of the babassu coconut breakers, in view of the construction of a “nature-world”, the result of the colonization and globalization processes. The current moment expresses an intensification of conflicts involving different ways of representing and using the nature of these communities. The methodology uses the concepts of political ecology, pluriverse, well-being and decoloniality as bases for the idea of a nature in Amazonian communities that constitutes a conflict with the “nature-world”, which is based on the logic of the resource as the material substrate of a market economy.
