Como problema de pesquisa, investigou-se: quais as bases históricas da legislação da EPT, ofertada no Amapá, desde a criação do Território Federal? Como objetivo, buscou-se compreender as bases conceituais que percorreram o currículo da EPT, para contribuir com o estudo da educação profissional amapaense. Metodologicamente, fez-se uso da pesquisa bibliográfica, documental, para traçar as normas educacionais de cada período, a história das escolas técnicas profissionais do Amapá e de seus currículos oficiais, assim como, para coletar dados de como a legislação foi posta em prática em sala de aula. A gamificação apresenta muitos elementos motivacionais capazes de transformar uma simples trilha ecológica em trilha urbana de aprendizagem. Partindo dessa premissa, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo descrever a Trilha Ecológica Wajãpi, localizada dentro do Instituto Federal do Amapá, campus Laranjal do Jari como um instrumento metodológico facilitador no processo de ensino aprendizagem de alunos de nível médio técnico integrado. A pesquisa aplicada com abordagem quali-quantitativa iniciou com revisão sistemática de literatura, aplicação de questionários semiestruturados a 30 participantes voluntários, seguindo recomendações do CEP (Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa), análise de dados com respaldo no aporte teórico, e produção e aplicação de um produto educacional, ou seja, a construção de um jogo educativo, intitulado Legendary Trail, por meio da plataforma de programação Construct 2. Os resultados confirmaram que a referida trilha dispõe de potencialidades não apenas ecológicas, mas educativas, favorecendo a construção e propagação de saberes tradicionais, científicos e tecnológicos. Entretanto, há alguns desafios a serem superados no processo de aceitação da trilha como instrumento potencial pedagógico didático, visto que ainda é necessário um diálogo interdisciplinar e uma integração maior entre núcleo comum e técnico. Apesar disso, o objeto de estudo tem se demonstrado promissor no âmbito educacional.

O estudo analisou as condicoes de consumo de energia eletrica, no periodo de 2009 a 2011, de seis... more O estudo analisou as condicoes de consumo de energia eletrica, no periodo de 2009 a 2011, de seis escolas publicas no Municipio de Macapa, considerando em tal analise numero de usuarios, localizacao e quantidade e qualidade dos equipamentos instalados e sua adequacao ao ambiente da escola. O objetivo foi identificar as caracteristicas do consumo em cada escola, estabelecendo um indice comparativo entre consumo e numero de usuarios (ICU) e consumo e numero de dias letivos (ICE). Para isso, durante visitas as escolas foi feito o levantamento do perfil de consumo de energia eletrica, considerando os equipamentos eletricos disponiveis e identificando quantidade, potencia e tempo medio de uso diario. A partir destas informacoes, e somando-se as entrevistas com servidores das escolas e dados medidos pela Companhia de Eletricidade do Amapa, foi possivel estimar a potencia (carga) instalada e tracar um perfil do consumo de energia eletrica diferenciado para equipamentos e iluminacao. Os resultados da pesquisa sugerem que o uso racional da energia eletrica nas escolas ainda nao e uma realidade, pois o desperdicio pode ser percebido pelo aumento de consumo intra e interanual. A escola Gabriel de Almeida Cafe destacou-se como a unidade com maior ICU (159,02 kWh/usuario), o que equivale a 32 vezes o ICU da escola Raimunda dos Passos (4,86 kWh/usuario). Espera-se que estes resultados auxiliem no planejamento e gestao das acoes, projetos e programas do setor da educacao, e do financiamento da educacao publica estadual na sensibilizacao para o consumo racional de energia eletrica nas escolas publicas do Amapa.

This study aimed to determine artificial semi-dry wetlands' performance to wastewater treatment f... more This study aimed to determine artificial semi-dry wetlands' performance to wastewater treatment from fish farming and Lactuca sativa production in an aquaponics system. This trial model observed the effects of different stocking biomass on the growth rate of Colossoma macropomum and yield of two L. sativa varieties. A factorial design consisting of three fish density treatments in quadruplicate and two Lettuces variety was used. Nine hundred and sixty fingerlings with 8.35 ± 0.91 g were stocked at three stocking biomass treatments in quadruplicate: 40 fingerlings or 334 g m −3 ; 80 fingerlings 668 g m −3 ; 120 fingerlings or 1002 g m −3. Delice American Lettuce and Purple Crested Lettuce were cultured in the semi-dry wetlands. The final mass (g), consumed food, feed conversion ratio, and yield of fingerling were statistically different between the tested densities, but survival did not. The artificial semi-dry wetlands were efficient on water treatment and the recovery of nutrients in all fish densities trials, and it has potential as support for lettuce production. The recovery of nutrients was shown on the increment of the number of leaves, total fresh mass (g), and lettuces yield by area (kg m −2) in both varieties of plants tested. Precocious flowering in 30% of lettuce varieties, incidence of mealybug and whitefly, temperature and deficiency of calcium and magnesium were factors that may have compromised the full lettuce development. The aquaponics system efficiently treated the fish effluent at the densities tested, being appropriate for fish farming and lettuces production.

The study's objective was to evaluate the nitrate level safety for Macrobrachium amazonicum juven... more The study's objective was to evaluate the nitrate level safety for Macrobrachium amazonicum juvenile in the laboratory, a potential native species for culture in Brazil. The experiment consisted of six treatments with six replicates in a completely randomized block design: 0, 250, 500, 1,000, 1,500, and 2,000 mg L −1. Physical and chemical water quality parameters were recorded every 12 h, while the shrimp mortalities in the 24-h interval. Except for nitrate, all physical and chemical water quality parameters remained within the ideal range rearing to this species. No deaths were observed during the first 6 h of exposure range 0-500 mg L −1 concentrations. At 250 mg L −1 N-NO 3 − , the mortality (10%) started from 48 h. At 500 mg L −1 N-NO 3 − , shrimp mortalities occurred after 24 h, reaching 60% after 72 h. In the treatments with 1000 and 1500 mg L −1 N-NO 3 − concentrations, dead shrimps can be observed after 24 h, with a mortality rate of 78% and 90% of the population in 96 h, respectively. All shrimps exposed at 2000 mg L −1 died in 96 h. The LC50 values obtained decreased with increasing exposure time. Based on LC50 (96 h), the N-NO 3 − level safety to M. amazonicum is 48.5 mg L −1 .

Macrobrachium amazonicum is a shrimp species distributed in freshwater habitats of Neotropical re... more Macrobrachium amazonicum is a shrimp species distributed in freshwater habitats of Neotropical regions and is of great importance for the Amazonian economy. This study evaluated the effects of temperature increase on the survival and growth of M. amazonicum. For this, we distributed 360 M. amazonicum juveniles in 70 L tanks, and carried out a 90-day experiment with three treatments (T0: 28 ± 0.5°C, or room temperature; T1: 30 ± 0.2°C; T2: 32 ± 0.2°C), using 4 replicate tanks each with 30 individual shrimp. Culture-tanks were connected to a recirculation system with biofiltration and constant aeration. Animals were fed twice a day using shrimp pelleted commercial food. After 90 days of trial, the total length and body mass gain of the animals cultured at room temperature was 78% and 433%, respectively. The specific growth rate, condition factor, weight gain, and length and survival of animals cultured at 30 and 32°C were lower than those cultivated at 28°C, and feed conversion was higher. Therefore, water temperature of 30 and 32°C may compromise growth and survival of M. amazonicum during cultivation, none of the extreme temperatures may be recommended in practice.

This study has investigated the influence of unilateral eyestalk ablation on the survival, moltin... more This study has investigated the influence of unilateral eyestalk ablation on the survival, molting frequency, fecundity, reproductive output, and fertility of M. amazonicum females. We divided 96 females into with ablation and without ablation groups with six replicates. Water quality, growth, survival rate, intermolt period, molts number, and ovigerous females over a 90-day period were monitored. Unilateral eyestalk ablation reduced intermolt period by 30% and increased molts number, ovigerous females, and reproductive output. Our findings indicate that unilateral eyestalk ablation positively influences reproduction in M. amazonicum and is appropriate for females of this species having a body length of ≥ 70 mm.

Aquaponics is a science that integrates animal aquatic production with vegetable culture in recir... more Aquaponics is a science that integrates animal aquatic production with vegetable culture in recirculating water systems. The performance of an aquaponics system using constructed semi-dry wetland with lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) planted on treating wastewater of culture of shrimp Macrobrachium amazonicum was evaluated. Each aquaponics module consisted in four culture tanks (1 m 3 tank −1), conical sedimentation tank (0.1 m 3), circular holding tank (0.2 m 3), and constructed semi-dry wetland (0.2 m × 1.0 m × 4.0 m). Post larvae (PL) shrimps with an initial average mass of 314 ± 4.75 mg were stocked at density treatments in quadruplicate: (A) 40 shrimps m −2 , (B) 80 shrimps m −2 , and (C) 120 shrimps m −2. Our results showed the average final mass of shrimps had a slight reduction at the density 80 and 120 shrimps. However, it did not differ significantly between the treatments. The ultimate survival and productivity were higher in density 80 and 120 shrimps. The maximum biomass productivity occurred at the treatment with density 120 shrimps. The aquaponics recirculation system using constructed semi-dry wetlands with lettuce adequately treated the water at the densities tested. Various water quality parameters were deemed suitable for shrimp culture, but for lettuce not, especially the temperature. The shrimp density was inappropriate which limited the system to accumulate and increase the concentration of nutrients to vegetables with lessening the yield. Nonetheless, the system with higher density has higher nutrient content that plants demonstrated significantly better growth and yield. The results showed the potential use of organics waste generated in a family lettuce hydroponic production, but for a commercial production is indicated supplementation with nutrients like calcium, magnesium, and potassium in the water.

This study investigated the growth performance parameters and parasites of Colossoma macropomum f... more This study investigated the growth performance parameters and parasites of Colossoma macropomum farmed in an aquaponic system constructed semi-dry wetland. Fingerling of C. macropomum (8.3 ± 0.9 g) were stocked in three experimental densities: 334, 668 and 1,002 g m − 3 g using four replicates by each treatment. The initial weight of C. macropomum was similar between sh densities tested. Electrical conductivity, nitrite, nitrate, potassium, and magnesium, turbidity, phosphate, total ammonia, and alkalinity increased with sh density. Dissolved oxygen concentrations showed a reduction, re ecting on sh growth. The nal weight was different and that it was negatively impacted with increased density. The speci c growth rate was similar between treatments with 334 and 668 g m − 3 , but it differed signi cantly from treatment with and 1,002 g m − 3 of sh. The mean weight gain decreased with increased of sh density, while feed conversion ratio increased. Relative condition factor and survival of sh were not affected by the densities of sh. Ichthyophthirius multi liis, Anacanthorus spathulatus, Notozothecium janauachensis and Mymarothecium boegeri were parasites found on C. macropomum gills in low abundance, which was not in uenced by different densities of sh. Our results showed that sh yield was negatively impacted with increased density and differed between the by different density of sh, while the sanity was not affected.

Os sons urbanos que nos incomodam são representações de grupos sociais ou consistem em total desc... more Os sons urbanos que nos incomodam são representações de grupos sociais ou consistem em total desconhecimento da legislação ambiental vigente? Pesquisa de opinião realizada no município de Macapá, com o objetivo de avaliar a percepção da população macapaense quanto à poluição sonora, comparou os resultados obtidos com os dados estatísticos de ocorrências registradas no Centro Integrado de Operações de Defesa Social (CIODES). Foram aplicados 1.000 questionários em três bairros da cidade: Centro, Perpétuo Socorro e Buritizal. Estes locais foram escolhidos por serem pontos de grande circulação de pessoas de diversas partes do município. As principais fontes de ruído causadoras de incômodo relatadas foram: o trânsito (34%), som automotivo (20%) e os bares (16%). O bairro Centro foi considerado pelos respondentes como o de maior poluição sonora. Na avaliação dos respondentes a poluição sonora tem aumentado nos últimos anos, provocando nas pessoas: irritabilidade (37%), dores de cabeça (36%) e falta de concentração (16%). A principal conclusão da pesquisa é que apesar de reconhecer as causas desta poluição, a população além de desconhecer qualquer instrumento legal que a iniba, também não se vê como fonte potencial deste distúrbio. A poluição sonora em Macapá não é um problema cultural e sim um crime ambiental tendo como causa principal o desconhecimento da legislação ambiental relacionada ao tema. Esses resultados podem ajudar o poder público a promover ações que visem o esclarecimento da população com relação a esse assunto, pois essa forma de poluição é um dos grandes causadores de prejuízo à saúde das pessoas.

The study of the interdisciplinary pedagogical practice in the integrated High School of the Fede... more The study of the interdisciplinary pedagogical practice in the integrated High School of the Federal Institute of Amapá-Campus Macapá Based on the new pedagogical dynamics that aims to reformulate teaching-learning relations, still very much marked by the traditional teaching's rigidity, this study highlights the interdisciplinary pedagogical practice, investigating its existence within integrated High Schools (or EMI) in the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amapá (IFAP)/ Campus Macapá. This research is qualitative and performs a document analysis of the pedagogical plans of the courses in the Campus Macapá, as well as investigates the submission of teaching projects with the interdisciplinary theme. A questionnaire was administered to teachers of EMI courses to analyze how interdisciplinary pedagogical practices were applied in classes and to verify the educators´ opinions on the potentialities and/or limitations of these practices at the Campus Macapá. The results revealed the existence of varied limitations

Over the past few years, the use of probiotics, which are capable of exerting beneficial effects ... more Over the past few years, the use of probiotics, which are capable of exerting beneficial effects on the composition of intestinal microbiota, has increased. Cheeses have been suggested as a better carrier of probiotic bacteria than other fermented milk products. The effect of added cultures of probiotic lactic acid bacteria on the quality of a Brazilian goat semi-hard cheese (coalho) was assessed during 21 days of storage at 10 ºC as follows: C1, Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis and L. lactis subsp. Cremoris (standard cheese); C2, Lactobacillus acidophilus (LA-5); C3, Lactobacillus paracasei (Lactobacillus casei-01); C4, BBifidobacterium lactis (BB-12); and C5, L. acidophilus, L. paracasei and B. lactis. Differences in some physico-chemical, experimental texture and proteolysis parameters were found among the assessed cheeses. All of them presented high luminosity (L*) with predominance of the yellow component (b*). Numbers of lactic acid bacteria in the cheeses were greater than 10 7 cfu g-1 during storage. Cheeses with the added probiotic strains alone and in co-culture were better accepted than cheeses without the probiotic strains. It is suggested that goat "coalho" cheese could be a potential carrier of probiotic lactic acid bacteria.
