The abundance of natural gas coupled with its environmental soundness and multiple applications across all sectors, means that natural gas will continue to play an increasingly important role in meeting demand for energy in Islamic Republic of Iran (I.R.I). Iran's UGS construction started rather late, but experienced a rapid development in recent years. So far, 2 UGSs have been built in Sarajeh gas field and Shourijeh gas field by using depleted condensate gas reservoirs. Nowadays, Sarajeh and Shourijeh gas fields are being used for underground gas storage with overall storage capacity of 6.3 MMMm3. Previously, some reservoir simulation based studies had been published for Iranian gas condensate reservoirs for the purpose of underground gas storage. They mainly focus on Sarajeh depleted gas field which will be mentioned in advance. In this paper technical aspects of some of the Iranian underground gas storage projects are analyzed in relation to additional gas storage needs and to the role of the new actors in the gas storage sector in the country. An overview of these prospective new gas storage is presented from a technical standpoint.

Since gas production is constant during the year and its consumption almost seasonal, the importance of underground gas storage (UGS) is increasing because it acts as a buffer between production and consumption. During the screening and concept selection stages of gas storage projects, many estimates are required to value competing projects and development concepts. These estimates are important because they influence which projects are selected and which concept proceeds into detailed engineering. In most cases, there is uncertainty in all of the estimates. As a result, operators are faced with the complex problem of determining the optimal design. A systematic uncertainty analysis can help operators solve this problem and make better decisions. Ideally, the uncertainty analysis is comprehensive and includes all uncertain variables, and simultaneously accounts for reservoir behavior, facility options, and economic objectives. In this paper historical perspective of underground natural gas storing and also screening criteria to determine the suitability of using a reservoir for UGS has been studied.

Briefly speaking, "natural gas lift" is getting assistance from natural energy of underground gas reservoirs for lifting and extraction of liquid petroleum to the surface. In current paper we will focus on global application of natural gas lift and notice the privileges of its usage. Surely this new method of completion has many challenges, which we review some of them. At the end there is a glance view about some of the main equipment. Purpose of this article is introducing different aspects of NGL and its viability to apply in our national oil fields.

Wired drill pipe telemetry is expected to revolutionize the ability to transmit downhole measurements in real time during drilling operations. The access to downhole data by wired drill pipe telemetry may lead to a new era in the detection, evaluation and handling of drilling related problems.
In this research we discover fundamentals of data transmission technology and its relevant challenges and overcoming methods at a glance. Then we focus on advantages of wired drill pipe. At the end, wired drill pipe applications & a case study will be presented.

forces which is needed to exploit oil from underground reservoir to surface production
network. Whenever natural driving forces is insufficient to bring oil from bottom hole or
may not afford desirable amount of oil to surface, artificial lift methods play key role.
Artificial methods generally use gas or pumps for lifting.
Many years since production commenced from the field and some years from the start of
water injection, the challenge to produce oil from the oil reservoir has never been greater.
However, recently in the vicinity of the oil reservoir, a gas reservoir has been discovered.
Successful global application of smart completion in oil and gas zones paves the way for
further usage of this emerging technology. Therefore viability study of comingle
production from both oil and gas reservoir has been performed. Oil production and water
injection well data and necessary reservoir parameters was added to the simulator.
Finally, effects of the gas injection from gas reservoir into oil wells have been studied.
The increase in oil recovery is calculated about ten percent over five years.
