You Make Life Special...

Hello friends,
Today I'm sharing with you the final project I made for TV, a card using Layered Flowers, Lattice Accents and M-Bossabilities - Regal.  All the sentiment stamps I use are from the Gratitudes set from Creative Expressions, you can view the stockists here.
The Kraft Shop and Pickleberry Papercrafts are good stockists of Creative Expressions products too.
So, the card - I've embossed and lightly distressed cream card with a kraft cardstock base.
The die cuts are then applied and a ribbon bow -
some days my bows look better than others, I think this one was a little rushed!
Pop by tomorrow to see if you are a winner of some 'Candi'.
The crafty space is having a bit of a sort out so I think there will be some more giveaways very soon.
Take care lovely friends.

The Decorated Jar

Hello friends,
I think I may have mentioned from time to time that I like to do a bit of altered art/mixed media items, well it appears that each time I appear on Create and Craft I seem to conjure up a decorated jar!
On Saturday it was a tag created with Antique Frame and Accents, cut from burgundy cardstock,
I retained the middle section and the pearl swirl enabled that stay in place.
Added a photo of my lovely Mum when she was a little younger,
a flower from the same set and then vintage ribbon and twine.
On a previous occasion I designed this tag...
But when it comes to my favourite decorated jar ..I think it may be this one...
A lot of my jars are recycled - I always look for gift sets of preserves and fruit
more for the shape of the jar than the contents!
Tomorrow Bella will be picking out four names for the 'Candi' and I will post the winners on Thursday.
Have a lovely day.

A Speedy Tag!

Hello Blog Land and hello to my new followers, thank you for joining me.
Pop by when you can, something crafty each day and Bella pup features quite a lot!
Occasionally there will be giveaways....
Today I am sharing with you the tag that I created for one of the TV demos,
this really was speedy!
An inked and stamped Labels Twenty Five, then ran through the Grand Calibur with the M-Bossabilities  Elite folder, quick knot of burgundy vintage ribbon and then two Splendid Circles to create a 'seal' or,
as pointed out at the Studio, looks a little like a medal!
Finally insert an eyelet and bakers twine.
Did I mention a giveaway...oh yes - look what I found in my crafty space...
truly is blog 'Candi'!
I seem to have acquired a few too many bags of these (20+)
so definitely time to send them out to new homes.
Just make sure you are a follower, leave a comment on this blog post and on Wednesday
Bella will pick out four names - do you think she will demand overtime rates!?
Happy Monday to all.
Take care.

Flowery Squares

Hello friends,
Well I'm back from TV land - a long day but enjoyable.
I intend to put my feet up a little bit today, once Bella has a good walk!
I enjoyed my shows and my final show with Ellis last night was a real giggle,
I think we covered lots of subjects Bella included!
I know many people emailed in to the studio but not all of them were read out which is such a shame,
nonetheless I am so grateful to those who took the time and trouble.
I'm featuring one of the cards I made using a background of the square flowers from
Damask Motifs and also a pretty tag from the same set.
I've layered up dotty paper and kraft cardstock. Small amount of distressing and inking the edges.
So very simple but I really like the geometric design.  The teal ribbon is a fav colour too!
I've had some questions over the last few days - the papers I used for the Nestaboard/Spellbinders books that I featured last week are Tim Holtz - either Crowded Attic or Vintage Shabby.
The adhesive I used for the books is Ranger Glue n'Seal - Matt -
these products will be available when I do my shows on 12 March.
Back tomorrow, hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

Create and Craft TV!

Hello friends,
As this post publishes I will be setting off for the TV studios, an early start as I have to be there at 8am
and it is approximately a two hour drive.
This time I will have company on my journey because I'm taking my mum along too!
And, talking of Mums...I have focused my projects around Mother's Day.
First up is this...a banner featuring the word 'MUM'
I've pictured the first letter here.  I used Romantic Rectangles as the base,
Layered Flowers, Ribbon Buckles and the flowers are
from Antique Frames and Accents die template set.
Thank you for all your kind comments yesterday,
so lovely to stand in the TV studios and know I've got some fantastic support.
I will be back tomorrow and hopefully not sitting on the M25!
Take care friends.

TV News Flash and a Congratulations Card

Hello friends,
Remember I said the world of TV is subject to change, well I have a newsflash!
I WILL be on Create and Craft tomorrow demonstrating some of the wonderful new Spellbinders die templates and the new amazing M-Bossabilities.
At the moment I have shows 10am, 3pm and 7pm.
I would love you to tune in.
(My Spellbinders and Nestaboard shows will still be on 12 March).
Back to today's card a very simple vintage distressed card featuring Rose Creations, I've just used the smallest die templates and layered them and also a dotty Labels Seventeen
I stamped 'congratulations' at the top section and across the strip of paper.
A couple of tiny butterflies are back!
Hope you all have nice plans for the weekend.
On Sunday, weather permitting I'm taking Bella to a new park,
haven't told her yet just in case it rains, I'm a fair weather dog walker!
Take care friends.

Student Note Book and a Winner

Hello friends,
Well in the world of TV everything is subject to change!  I received news that my shows have been postponed to Monday 12 March, sorry to those who have already set their video boxes!
On the plus side..I may have time to make more items to show you.
I would still like to share another notebook project with you today.
This time I used Grand Labels Large and matching Nestaboard.
I was so thrilled to discover that within Tim Holtz - Crowded Attic papers there is a patterned page that fits the die template and Nestaboard perfectly and says Students Note Book!  It was meant to be!
I wanted to keep the colouring quite muted but enjoyed stamping and embossing the swirls and the flowers.
I've even dabbed a bit of alcohol ink on the book rings, somewhat patchy which adds to the vintage look..that's my excuse anyway!
Now, I need to announce a winner of the Papercrafts Magazine and it is......
JANICE
Here is Bella doing her little day job!
Congratulations Janice, please drop me an email: [email protected]
and I will post it off to you.
Please pop by again soon as I really do like this whole giveaway thing!
Take care today dear friends.

Pink and Girlie!

Hello friends,
So pleased you liked my little Spellbinders and Nestaboard book yesterday.
To answer a few questions: my shows will be this Saturday at midday and 6pm,
although that may change - if it does I will post the new times on my blog.
You can view Create and Craft online - this is the link - just click the tab at the top that says 'Watch Us Live'.  Alternatively if you have Sky it is on Channel 671, Freeview 36 or Freesat 813.
Nestaboard availability: it will be available on Create and Craft from Saturday but if you look at Creative Expressions website here - under each Nestaboard product is the list of UK stockists.
Hope that helps but please do not hesitate to ask me any questions.
Today's book project is much more pink!
I've photographed it face on but it is a book with a decorated Nestaboard front cover.
This uses the very curvaceous Grand Labels Twenty Three with matching Nestaboard.
I've created the flowers, again Grand Peony Creations by cutting felt and layering.
I never cease to be amazed at how perfectly the Grand Calibur® cuts felt, even tiny butterflies!
Inside the book is plain notepaper, I think this could make a nice birthday/anniversary gift,
or perhaps all done in white a wedding gift...oh I wish I'd thought of that earlier, I want to make it now!
Tomorrow Bella will pick out the winner of the Papercrafts Magazine and I will post that on Thursday.
Have a lovely day and I will be back tomorrow.

Revealing All!

Hello friends,
It is the countdown to my TV shows on Saturday so I feel it is only fair to share
some of the projects I will be making.
I did tease you a week or so ago but now over the next few days I will be revealing full photos!
I'm really quite excited about these projects as this is the first time I've selected all the products myself
to put the shows together...I'm hoping everyone else likes them too!

I've combined some of Spellbinders Grand die templates with Nestaboard to create various books, journals, signs and even a photo stand.  I had more ideas but honestly I ran out of time ...!
I will also be featuring other dies including Grand Peony Creations,
Wonderful Wings which is butterflies (of course!) and Foliage - so so useful.
Grand Peony Creations has so much versatility and I hope to demo the different ways
to make beautiful dimensional flowers.
This particular project uses Grand Labels One and matching Nestaboard,
inside I've created pockets to hold photos.  Of course, wonderful Tim Holtz papers.
I've stamped and embossed the leaves, in fact everything to make this will be available on the show,
including papers, distress inks and more.
I enjoy making items other than cards, I think I'm a real mixed media girl at heart.
I will be giving away some of these creations so please pop back from time to time and keep your eyes peeled for giveaways.
I will feature a few more TV creations this week but hoping you will be able to tune in on Saturday
and by all means email the studio to say hello - that would be lovely.
Take care.

Hello friends,
I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend. I've been doing some craft (no surprise there!) getting ready for TV on Saturday - I will be showing you some of those items this week.
So, Bella has done the honours, not the best photo, she tends to move so perhaps it is more of an action shot!
The winner of the Classic Bracket Edgeabilities® is......
LINDYLOO
Congratulations!
Drop me an email: [email protected] and I will get them sent out to you.
Now because I love doing this giveway thing...I've got a little something..
the latest issue of Paper Crafts Magazine.
I have this magazine sent over from the States but for some reason
I ordered it twice this month!  I think perhaps I've been a little busy and distracted!
It is full of brilliant projects with instructions, very inspirational.
Just make sure you are a follower, leave me a comment on this blog post and
I will set Bella to work on Wednesday.
Have a brilliant day and tomorrow I will be back with something I've created.

Quick Make Card No.4

Hello friends,
My final Quick Make card and this is my favourite one.
The decorative border reminds me of the tiered skirts that were a fad years ago.
Today is my friend Nicki's birthday so I'm dedicating this card to her.
(She did also get a real handmade card too!)
Tomorrow I will revealing the winner of the Classic Bracket Edgeabilities®
Have a great Sunday..I'm cooking the roast today so best I get organised!

Quick Make Card No.3

Hello friends,
Back again with a Quick Make card -
I probably should have mentioned earlier and apologies - the papers I have used for these
I love the dotty design.
Again, layering, borders and butterflies, must have had a bit of a trend running that day.
Enjoy your Saturday, back tomorrow with another card.
Take care.

Quick Make Card No.2

Hello Blogland
Back today with another Quick Makes card.
This is featured in this month's Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine but...
stood the other way up!  Actually it sort of works!
Truly a simple design but utilising the patterned paper, lots of layers and a button - I rarely use buttons which may account for why I seem to have about twenty jars of them.. any ideas for using lots of buttons please!
Don't forget you can still leave a comment on this post to be in with a chance of winning a new set of
Bella will pick out a winner tomorrow..I keep telling her, she seems to understand!
Have a lovely Friday.

Quick Make Card No.1

Hello friends,
This month in Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine I'm featuring four cards in their Quick Makes section,
you should be able to create these in approximately 10 minutes so my designs are kept very simple.
The running feature is Standard Circles SM and some butterflies..of course!
I am so enjoying seeing Spring colours,
my winter pansies are perking up in the garden now the snow isn't suffocating them!
Back tomorrow, take care.

A Special Giveaway

Hello to all my lovely Blogland friends!
Thank you so much for all your kind words and congratulations.
Today, because I'm still on cloud 9, I have a special giveaway!

I have a brand new set in its packaging to give away to one of my lucky blog followers.
All you have to do is make sure you follow me and leave a comment on this post before Sunday.
The winner will be drawn and I will post the lucky name on Monday morning bright and early.
I will stress to Bella that this is a super super giveaway and that she needs to fully concentrate!

So ...Edgeabilities, I love 'em.. you can use them to create an edge to cards, run a consecutive strip down your scrapbook layouts, create borders and more... the Classic Bracket is a special favourite of mine as I like the traditional edge and the decorative insert with the hearts is just so pretty.
I'm sharing a picture of a plaque I made last year, where I used this Edgeabilities set
down the side of the wood-grain paper.
All the instructions for making this plaque are on You Tube.
I did a series of videos - if you have a spare half hour pop the kettle on!
(Click on the tab at the top of my Blog for all my videos).
Have a lovely day friends and remember you have until Sunday to leave a comment.

NEWS...

Hello again friends,
Two posts today - please scroll down for the earlier one....!
The reason I asked for you to pop back to my blog was timing -
I had to wait before I could share my wonderful news with you.
I am elated to tell you that I am going to be on the Spellbinders Design Team for another year!
Stacey Caron (owner of Spellbinders) telephoned me yesterday to tell me the news,
it was so lovely to hear her voice and to know that in a short time I will be flying to Arizona.
I am a seriously happy girl!
Soon I will share with you a couple of the projects that I created that got me through to the team,
but for now I feel very much like the cat that got the cream...
Thank you for all your wonderful words of support and encouragement,
you are such lovely lovely people.
Stop by tomorrow - I've got a giveaway!
Take care.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello dear friends,
First off..it's Valentine's and as I'm a total romantic I would like to share a LOVEly card with you today!
A fair bit of heart stamping, embossing to the top section of the card and I've used
Large Labels for the sentiment and Banner Basics Three to create the decorative edge border.
My Valentine's Day has already been special as I received these lilies and roses ..so beautiful.
I hope your Valentine's Day is special too.
Now friends...a little different - I'm going to be writing another post later today.
Hopefully you can call back....

Autumn!

Hello friends,
Yes I've got my seasons wrong!  But I discovered this layout that I'm certain I haven't shared with you.
I had even forgotten I had made this..do you do that too?
It features a distressed border, Foliage used as a mask and Grand Labels Four.
I use the Foliage dies so much, they are a really handy set to marry up to most projects.
Today is the day I find out whether I've made the 2012 Spellbinders Design Team....
I'm willing the phone to ring!
Back tomorrow dear friends.

A Card with Wire

Hello friends,
And now for something different...
Before I became completely hooked on papercraft I used to make jewellery so grabbing my
pliers, Artistic Wire and beads was a bit like second nature to me when I designed this card.
I like the delicate greens of the paper and the dinky little aperture (created with Labels Eighteen).
The border strip is Banner Basics Two.
It is missing hearts and butterflies..I will see if I can remedy that tomorrow.
Hope you are all having an enjoyable weekend.
Bye for now.

For You - Hearts and Butterflies

Hello friends,
Not long till Valentine's Day and I think hearts are going to feature a lot on my blog!
This card combines hearts with butterflies - perfect!
I've cut the aperture with Classic Hearts, backed it with some pretty paper,
moved the die cut along slightly and gathered some punched border strips to the outer edge.
Added butterflies and a small tag.
A bit frilly and feminine!
Yet again I'm craving Springtime and sunshine...
Hope you are all keeping warm this weekend.
Take care.

Tease!

Hello dear friends
Today I'm sharing a couple of little sneak peeks....

These are from two of the projects that I've been working on for TV later this month.
At the moment it looks like I'm doing shows on Saturday 25 February -
midday and 6pm ...subject to change but hopefully not!
Before then I will share with you the full projects and exactly what I'm making but today I thought
I would just tantalise you a little bit...hope you don't think that's mean of me! :)

Have a happy Friday.
Back tomorrow, take care.
