This is a little sample of my favorite part of Body and Soul...
I stared at that electrical outlet and focused outside myself, so Jacob had time to give me the reach-around. Clock. Microwave. Coffee maker. Coffee grinder.
What if one of 'em fell into the sink while he was pile-driving me and I ended up electrocuted? Not that there was any water present. But the lethalness of the combination of electricity and sinks is hard-wired into our primordial lizard brains, so that just seeing the two of them at the same time was enough to leave me thinking about biology class and twitching frogs…
"Uhn, God, Vic. So good. Fuck."

HolycrapthiswashotandIlovedit!! No rest for the wicked…

Body and Soul opens up with Vic and Jacob eating at Jacob's parents' home, celebrating Thanksgiving. Aside from Jacob's curious nephew who's pestering Vic with endless questions, an arm can take on a life of its own. It goes without saying that even at Thanksgiving, Vic's special ability is going to haunt him at the peaceful family table. However, the visit is short-lived when Warwick calls Vic back to duty. In order to find a few missing people, Warwick teams Vic up with a new partner named Zigler.

Whew. Body and Soul is my favorite installment in the PsyCop series. I know I'm not done yet and that might change again. Still, I really enjoyed everything about Body and Soul. The sex was INCREDIBLY enticing and panty-melting HOT. Vic's hilarious and fascinating mind worked overtime and Jacob was his usual sexy, hunky studly self. YUM!

"Fucking hot," I mumbled into my forearm. "Fuck me harder."
Jacob went ballistic because I'd managed to string together more than two words while he was fucking me.

I loved meeting Jacob's family and seeing Vic and Jacob (well, mostly Jacob) hunting appropriate living quarters was oh-so entertaining. Boy, someone should go down on me so exquisitely too, just so I can be convinced to buy a special building.

I know I sound like a broken record but Vic and Jacob's chemistry is so great and palpable and they are incredibly sexy together. Whatever they do I just love it. Boy, the sex in the kitchen was mind-blowingly good. I couldn't believe that I had to laugh my ass off at Vic's crazy-funny train of thought while at the same time I felt the need to take a verrrry cold shower when studly Jacob drilled him in the counter. Holy fuck! I need to calm down…

Leaves are part of the story…la-la-la…ok, now I'm much calmer. But I swear that leaves are part of Body and Soul.
 photo tumblr_msmv8iKQnm1rzadffo2_500_zps1e7a3d9b.gif

Also, I'm getting quite fond of the typical Vic terminology "um" and "cripes". And public displays of affection might become somewhat more normal for Vic because he seems the get used to it eventually. Me likey. I love how much Jacob cares about Vic; I think he'd do anything for him. Hmm…wait a second, what did Jacob say?

"I would do anything for you," Jacob said, and he seemed clear as could be, totally lucid. It wasn't fair that someone could shoot his load and then say things like that.

*licks lips* Yes, that was one hell of a blowjob.

Vic talking to his deadly annoying (pun intended) and ghostly neighbor is sooooo priceless. I must admit that I'm reading these books for the sake of Vic and Jacob and the compelling writing, and not so much for the sake of the plot. Don't get me wrong, the plot is not bad by any means but it's not what allures me to devour the books. Besides, I really don't think that Vic is such a badass cop who could bring down any villain with no sweat. I mean that dude is physically so out of shape it's not even funny anymore and I'm not sure if he's such a genius with his arm either. On the other hand, I just love his lively mind.

And then there's Crash again…

"If she's not here now," Crash said, "then I don't need to behave." He pulled a wooden box out from behind the counter as he spoke, grinning all the while. It was just banter. I don't think he actually had the hots for me. He just needed to preserve his reputation as a slut. Probably.
"I'll let you test drive a pendulum if you give me a blowjob."
"No!" I snapped.
He opened the box with a flourish. "Can't say I didn't try."

Gosh, he's an irritating jerk, albeit a lovable one. I need to read his short story.

I'm really, really thrilled how much I enjoyed this story. Everything is hunky-dory.

Though I'm going to take a little break in order to savor the rest of the series all the more. Besides, I'd like to avoid a needless disappointment by getting fed up a little bit. I'll be back, I promise.

How could I even think of reading anything else at the moment? Of course I'm tackling Secrets now.

West Coast psychic airy-fairy granola bullshit.

In the third installment of the Psy Cop series, Vic and Jacob are spending Thanksgiving with Jacob’s family. Vic wants to be a good boyfriend and tries to wean himself from the Auracel that prevents him from seeing ghosts, but keeps him high most of the time. Their Thanksgiving holiday is cut short when Vic gets a call to investigate the case of three missing people, including an alderman’s nephew.

Once again, I can’t get enough of this series and was flipping pages well into the night. Vic’s quirky personality and humor is always entertaining, the protective Jacob provides stability while helping Vic come out of his shell, and the unusual case Vic is asked to solve requires the full use of his psychic abilities.

We get to meet lots of new and interesting characters, some living, and some dead. The sex is always sizzling, as Vic and Jacob’s relationship grows deeper. I loved this story and can’t wait to find out more about Vic’s troubled past.

Oh Vic, only you would encounter such circumstances! 😂 Well guys, it’s official. Victor Bayne is meeting Jacob’s family. Talk about “we didn’t see this coming”. Can you imagine Vic having a thanksgiving dinner with Jacob’s uptight family? 🤣 You know it’s bound to be disastrous and boy, weren’t we right? Even after asking Lisa whether there will be any ghosts in Jacob’s family home, Vic sure managed to encounter a paranormal incident. 😁 And we all know the calls from Sergent Warwick is never wanted but may be for this time, the call to come back to the precinct ASAP possibly rescued Vic from a tight spot with Jacob’s family. And it wouldn’t be Vic if his new partner at work turned out to be a solid good as gold kind of guy. Nope, after getting through 2 partners after his former partner Morris’ retirement, which both ended up being catastrophic, Vic is now stuck with a guy who can’t seem to do anything right AGAIN! 😂 Meanwhile, Jacob is going on a house hunt for the perfect apartment for them to move in. And because it’s our Vic, it’s turning out to be equally cataclysmic. 😁 Meanwhile, people are vanishing out of thin air and it’s up to Vic and his new partner to find them in time before it’s too late. Or may be it’s already too late? 😳 But even if the world is ending the next week, there’s one good thing going on in Vic’s life. Jacob, who never gives up on him and whom he still has no idea what he sees in him. 😂 And yes, finally the “L word”! 😱😍 Vic knew how socially awkward and secluded he is and he still can’t believe Jacob loves him, HIM, a level 5 psychic who needs to pop pill all the times to simply cope, well, not that bad anymore since he met Vic. 😉 And he knows that he just need to keep believing in Vic and their love and there may be a silver lining for them after all? 😊 Sometimes, the worst circumstances leads to the best possible outcome and that might be the case in our two MCs trying to find a perfect abode for them while solving the mystery case of people missing suddenly. 😌

Oh wow, seriously. Jordan Castillo Price manages to impress me more and more with each book of this PsyCop series. 👏 I still can’t believe I had the honor to receive ARCs and review the entire series. And hats off to Gomez Pugh for nailing the narration of these stories every single time! 👍 How is this getting better with each novel? This seriously reminds me of days me being totally hooked waiting for the show “Castle” in front of the television. Somehow, Kate and Castle kinda remind me of Jacob and Vic, minus Vic being mischievous as Castle but still equally awkward-funny. 🤣 And I’m now officially addicted to the love making scenes of Vic and Jacob. I admit, I unashamedly listen their kitchen scene 3 times. 😂👏 LOL, if you are curious, you need to listen and find out yourself. 😏 And despite these stories being a single PoV of Vic, I find out more and more about Jacob with each and every story. His voice in the story is subtle but exceptionally strong and enthralling. And his background story surely intrigues me. I can’t wait to know more about him in the future. Storywise, the mystery wasn’t that thrilling yet really scary and unexpected. 😱 I didn’t see that one coming, again! 😳 And I’m glad this book is more focused on the relationship between Vic and Jacob. I’m sad to see Lisa and Vic drifting apart in this book a bit though I’m sure she’ll come through in the end. 😌 Now excuse me ladies, I need to grab my headphones, go under my cozy, fluffy blanket, blank out the world and immerse myself in the next adventure of Vic and Jacob. 😉

This series is getting better and better with each book.
"I'm trying really hard to be a decent boyfriend," I said. "But I think I might not be cut out for it."
Six weeks after the whole kidnapping/GhosTV/amped up paranormal activity incident, Vic is still on leave from the department. You'd think Vic would use the time for rest and recuperation after his ordeal, but no...

Vic has faced off against murderers, ghosts, and all manner of terrifying things, but he's about to face his biggest challenge yet: Meeting his boyfriend's family!

The boys are spending Thanksgiving with Jacob's family in Wisconsin, and Vic is seriously rethinking his new found sobriety. Falling off the wagon seems mighty alluring when faced with inquisitive kids, Catholics, and the disembodied arm of Jacob's uncle bleeding all over the dry turkey and cranberry sauce.

The holiday getaway is mercifully cut short when a Chicago Alderman's son becomes the newest victim in a string of mysterious disappearances...

No evidence,
No pattern,
No suspects,
No Leads,

And poor Vic is teamed up with yet another new partner....

Detective Victor Bayne
I was thankful that Zigler was willing to interview everyone. In fact, I would've been more comfortable if he could just call all the shots and drag me along like a really expensive and high-maintenance piece of forensics equipment. When everything was said and done, wasn't that all I really was?
Vic was in his element in this book - talking to ghosts to solve his case, and pulling leads from his spirit witnesses. There's no evidence that the missing persons are actually dead, so Vic and his new partner are canvasing their houses and last known whereabouts looking for lingering ghosts.

Vic doesn't come into contact with any undead versions of the missing people, but there's no shortage of helpful chatty ghosts around to point him in the right direction.

Vic is understandably weary of his new partner. He hasn't had the best luck with partners since Maurice retired. The new clean-cut detective seems like a by-the-book kinda guy, but at least he doesn't seem like the type to kidnap Vic and experiment on him...

Detective Jacob Marks
I wouldn't have thought I'd like it, since I'm so twitchy about being restrained. But when Jacob wraps his body around mine, I feel more like he's shielding me than engulfing me.
I think I fall for Jacob a little bit more with every book. He is the perfect companion to balance Vic. He's so warm and tender, and just lovely to read.

While Vic works long hours on his case, Jacob is house hunting. Finding a new place that meets his specifications and isn't being haunted is a tall order.

Following leads from junkie ghosts,
Investigating high-profile cases,
Interviewing family members,
Basements of horror,
House Hunting,
Catholicism, Voodoo, &
Brushing off advances from Jacob's ex...
Jut another day in the life of our favorite detectives...

As I said before, this series is progressing wonderfully. Each book has been well written and engaging. There are new obstacles - personally and professionally - for our characters which keeps everything feeling fresh and interesting.

I end each book satisfied, yet excited to continue the journey!

This was the first book in this series where I finally started to see why people like it so much. Prior to this one I just thought it was an okay series. However, I really enjoyed this one and started to connect with Vic and Jacob. I also thought the mystery in this one was well done. I think it's because I had a hard time connecting to Vic when he was so drugged out most of the time so in this book I felt like I got to know him better. I also loved the relationship between Vic and Jacob and the mix of the day to day life of trying to find a home mixed with the mystery. I definitely want to know more about what happened to Vic at Camp Hell so I'll read the next book.

**4.5 fantastic stars!**

I can't help myself, I just adore this series.

I find it a perfect mix of funny, sexy, and quirky. I think Vic is adorable (and if he looks like the guy on the cover of "Criss Cross"- DAYM) and his relationship with Jacob is just yummy. I'm just gushing and not saying anything specific about this book so here I go...

I think "Body and Soul" embodies what I have come to expect from this series. There is some romance (never gushy), a mystery to solve, and some interesting paranormal action. What I love about this book is that it is lighthearted and fun, even amidst all of Vic's emotional baggage. There aren't silly misunderstandings and other garbage in his relationship with Jacob, and I was happy to see their relationship moving forward. And the way Jacob talks in bad... HOT.

Look, I'll keep this simple.

I ADORE VICTOR BAYNE!!!!!

Book 3 has Vic at his neurotic best. And getting to know him better with each book of this series is such a treat. Poor guy is traumatized and the accommodations he has to make in his life because of his "gift" of talking to dead people are exhausting. But, I'm bought in...totally invested in him...and I want to be there with him every step of the way...(What happened to you, Vic, at Camp Hell. I need to know...yet I'm scared to find out!)

Jacob is one sexy-muthaf'er. He's not terribly interesting. He plays a totally secondary role. He's one of those "dirty talkers" (blech!). But, I just LOVE his devotion to Vic. And I love what he provides for Vic. He's solid and he'd do ANYTHING for Vic (threesome w/ Crash? Don't do it!) Their parts together in this book make me HAPPY!!!!

Of the first 3 books, this one had the least prominent mystery plot, and I'm ok with that. I'm also REALLY ok that 100 new characters didn't muddy the waters in this one either. Keepin' it simple. I loved the househunting storyline and the treat of sitting through Thanksgiving dinner with Jacob's family! Fun, fluffy stuff...ya know, in the midst of all the blood and guts and bones of dead bodies...

They're BOYFRIENDS...they're gonna COHABITATE! WAHOOOO!!!

"He slipped his hand around the back of my neck and pulled me toward him for a kiss...

'Why did he do that?' said Tiffany
'Because he likes me.'
'But you're both boys.'
'Sometimes boys like each other that way.'..."

...and thank god for that! :)

Did I mention that I ADORE VICTOR BAYNE????!!!!

4 1/2 Stars - An amusing crime story with an fantastic narrator that's = A Huge Winner Book

Book #3

I liked but didn't love the first two. They were tempting good for more reading and better and better. (Reviews:)

Anyway, it was with a very good feeling I started this third part (again as an audiobook, 4:45 hrs - amazing good narrated by Gomez Pugh) in this PsyCop series. ~ Quite short M/M books in the cops / crime paranormal-ghosts genre. Books that stand for themselves there in the odd corner. To be true and fair - the hot creepy corner.

Third Time Lucky!!!
...Then I started this third one and I could feel it at once. This was a great installment, so much better. I loved every tiny little bit of it.

***********************************************************
Chicago nowadays..

The PsyCop Victor Bayne and his hot lover Jacob Marks started quite surprising a steaming hot relationship in the first book. Now a time later is it Thanksgiving Day dinner, and planned to be a holiday weekend, with Jacob's family. But are you a cop can't you but go back home again if the boss calls for you.
 photo imagejpg1_zps913ee505.jpg

There are some people missing and Victor gets once again a new unknown cop as his future work-partner. A stiff hard to analyze older middle aged man, Bob Zigler, and to be honest, he scare Victor to start with. You know the gay-thing...

A thrilling "murder" investigation starts. I liked it and it was a bit scary at times but this time was the topic mostly Victor's different relationships. (Hurray!!) New relatives, sad ghosts, his new work-partner, and of course his beloved smexy boyfriend - and Victor had more or less good 'control' on most important things.

***********************************************************

This PsyCop world is kind of interesting but also creepy weird with all those ghosts and odd creatures the U.S. society actually accepted. I can't imagine when we have ghost hunting cops up here.

Victor and Jacob's relationship on the other hand is just so yummy romantic and glorious cute by now. I like that it is more or less angst-free and just about to dare (Victor) to really belive you can be loved, for the one you are, by the police departments sexiest dream-hunk. Yeah, by this larger-than-life hero Jacob.

This book was a lot about house hunting for a future home and I can't wait to see more of them and their life together.
 photo 8c47425f-0ab3-4988-9600-c777c180d11b_zps11ddb801.jpg

My need for more creepy murder investigations from these PsyCop's after three audiobooks (and a shorty xmas shorty) are higher than ever.

Still giggling - I'd so much fun listening to this
The best thing is that this is such a amusing fun and highly entertaining told crime drama. Victor has an quite unique funny inner voice. I just love to listening to him.

When you, on top of a very well-written story, also has Gomez Pugh's simply perfect narration in your earplugs, is it even better. As I said to a friend, when Victor tells me, whit Gomez lovely voice, that Jacob is the worlds most gorgeous sexy man, then I belive and feel it.

***********************************************************

Not to miss for drooling smut-ladies and nerdy cop & ghost hunting lovers. ~ Next up #4 - Secrets and a couple of mini shorties.

I LIKE - soooo veeeery muuuuch

I don’t think I would’ve rounded up if I’d read this for the first time today, but Vic is Vic, he deserves all the stars.

4.5 stars

I don’t think there’s any need for a coherent review, this series has already been reviewed at large, long before I even started it.
Which is good, because I doubt I could do more than gush over Victor and how everything fits perfectly in this story, right down to

In my review of Criss Cross I said that I wanted more relationship development on page and Body and Soul delivered.
If I had to find something to grumble about, it’d be that

I'm so excited to be re-issuing this book. My favorite scene is when they discover who's behind all the disappearances, and they don't really know what to make of the stuff they actually do find.

I love Vic's bland acceptance of what's happening when the mechanics of it dawn on him, and I think this was the first time I gave a little glimpse of how steely he actually is inside, that a situation that would send most people packing doesn't even faze him. (How's that for convoluted? Trying not to be spoilery!)

Another fantastic installment in the Psycop series!

 photo annie-thumbs-up_zpsb44062b4.gif

I've read some great books this year, but Jordan Castillo Price's Psycop series is really something special. I love Victor Bane. Adore him!! Not in the way I usually love the "heroes" in the books I read, but in a I want to give him a big old hug and tell him everything will be just fine kind of way. Watching his confidence build, thanks mostly to his boyfriend Jacob, has been a real treat.

The mystery in this one wasn't as interesting as the one's in the first two books, but that was alright with me. Victor and Jacob are what this is really all about and what keeps me coming back for more

I'm moving on to "Secrets", the next installment in this highly addictive series. Love ya, Vic!

Ok, I'm late to the party but safe to say I'm hooked now.
Still feel the stories could be fleshed out more, some downtime shown maybe, but the story is engaging and I'm coming to see this is very much Vic's pov and coloured by his experience/insecurities.
The psy factor is interesting, not much detecting but still a fast moving plot. Jacob is still a bit too perfect but there's a little bit more to him than his brawn and large 'meat' here.
Like how the end scene plays out, though the ending itself felt a little abrupt.

So here's a funny thing. Audiobooks CHANGE how I feel about the text. The right narrator makes a book even more enjoyable for me. When I read this book last fall, I gave it four stars, which means I REALLY liked it and would recommend it.

Fast forward to today. I bought the audiobook pretty much the day I found out it was available. I checked my email, saw the JCP newsletter, went to audible and bought it. Didn't get out of bed or drink coffee or make myself human in anyway, just RAWR BOOK MUST HAVE NOW PLEASE.

And then I waited to listen to it. Because I've been sick, y'all, and audiobooks are for knitting or running. And Psycop audio books are the BEST for running. I've been too sick to knit, let alone run, so the book had to wait.

This morning, I listened to the first chapter while I ran three very slow but at least I wasn't coughing anymore miles. ONE chapter, and I knew that I needed to up my star rating on this book to five. Because for one thing, the book is even more brilliant the second time around, and Gomez Pugh is pretty much the best goddamn narrator I've ever heard.

Estou adorando!

This next chapter following lovable, slightly socially challenged Victor Bayne, sees him adjusting to his new work partner as they investigate a trio of missing persons. On a personal front, he's in a more established relationship with boyfriend and fellow cop Jacob Marks, and I loved reading about them as a couple.

The author continues to inject quirky insecurity in Victor's voice - he's not the suavest detective out there, and he's got to be the most squeamish medium around! Like Jacob, I found him to be loveable and relatable, faults and all. He's a bit inexperienced in the relationship department but you can see he's making an effort and wants to be the best boyfriend back. Also he's coming into his own and acquiring a little more confidence and assertiveness on the job which was fun to witness. As always the hot factor is still high in this (with a touch of dirty thrown in this time) - and I say that's always a good thing.

This series is proving to be very enjoyable. From quirky and funny characters to bizarre cases they deal with, this is seriously one fantastic urban fantasy. I like Jacob for Vic. He never makes him feel inadequate of weird, he just accepts him as he is. And Vic with his sometimes awkwardness and his eccentric ways is the perfect counterpart to self assured and ordinary in a good way Jacob.

The case is rather interesting this time. The investigative work that centers on ghosts as witnesses is just so cool. I love Vic's easy acceptance of the things he can not change and his sarcastic voice when he is internally musing. I loved Jacob's family dinner and Vic's description of them, some parts were absolutely hilarious. I like that this series is a well balanced mix of humorous, spectral and romantic parts that work so well together. All the characters, bad and good, are so fun to read about. Good stuff.

Again the page length was trimmed and this one comes across too short, but it was a good story regardless and the police investigation a little more complex than previous books. I loved the beginning at the Thanksgiving table and the ghost arm, then the angst of apartment hunting.

It's probably the best mystery so far in the series - Vic has to use his detecting skills and follow confusing leads, sometimes getting help from ghosts for once. He has to interview people, visit crime scenes, the full-fledged detective duty but with paranormal sting. The turnout with that was sweet in the end and I liked how the ghosts ended up helpful for once. I don't fully get what the villains were trying to accomplish, but I liked the detective work and the new partner. I get a kick out of how he unnerves other detectives and some of the animosity there because of him being a talented member of the 'Spook Squad'.

Victor remains an awesome main character - the way he tried to appear somewhat manly around his new partner was funny (the driving, talking to the people are the door hoping he's not challenged in front of the partner), how he slips on almost everything when outside, his awkwardness, his internal sense of humor....really, he's awesome. It's funny seeing Vic partnered with new people, while I sit here hoping it will work out.

Crash makes a brief appearance, but I don't find him that interesting. Lisa is still there via phone and there's a unique hitch in their relationship. Still loving Maurice, but he was only mentioned in this one only by name.

There's sex scenes of course, too many, but still a strong enough story that made this one fly by. I blinked, it was over, and I wanted the next one.

This one had the strongest mystery aspect so far, with Vic actually investigating for once, and even finding clues rather than having stuff happen to him. Nice to see, especially since we're reminded that almost he's 40 (I think? definitely 30-something at least) and has been with the police quite a while.

I'd like to get more sense of what goes on in Marks' head.

What I like most about the series is that despite the creepy and heavy mental stuff Vic struggles, there were a few instances when I couldn't do anything but laugh. XD It's the way Vic is processing things (ghostly and personal). I find it hilarious sometimes how he fumbles his way through life. I wonder if he was more confident and just generally a different person before Camp Hell. Somehow I doubt it.

Jacob is a really good boyfriend. Kinky, sure XD but I love their dynamic. At first I thought they were going too fast... already meeting the parents and all but I think that's just because the passing time didn't register in my mind. Between books there is always a couple months going by.

And finally we get to see Vic actually doing his job, which is to interrogate the victims spirits. But book 1 and 2 didn't really go in that direction. So it was more productive on that front.
I hope Vic can stick it out with his new partner. He is not my favorite but at least he is professional.
But Maurice was better. Why did he have to retire?!

Overall I'm really enjoying the series.

SOOOOOO Freaking GOOD!

Why do I wait so long between reading PsyCop books?! It must the the foolish forgetful part of me; or perhaps the me who gets distracted by other shiny objects. The objects in this case being MM books.

Thus far, this is my favorite. I’m getting dizzy thinking how each book has gotten better and I’m only on book 3. I will explode by he time this series ends if it keeps on this insane upward trajectory. Too much, it’ll be too much...stop, stop!!

In this novella, Vic is off his meds and house hunting with Jacob. House hunting proves challenging since most places are haunted. Their sex life keeps getting better.

On the police front, people are disappearing. Vic and his new Stiff partner, Zig, are on the case. Zig is growing on me an I hope he doesn’t turn out to be a total ass.

The team solves the freakish case and along the way, Jacob and Vic find a home. I can’t wait o read the next one!

Loved this! Tempted to give it a 5-star rating, the only thing that’s stopping me is that Jacob is still the same awesome but slightly mysterious man. I don’t doubt his feelings for Victor, I just need to know more about him.

Victor on the other hand: his character development is one of the best I’ve seen in romance.

Also, Vic and Zig – some great stuff there too.

4.5 stars

I haven't been completely hooked on this series yet. Maybe part of the reason is the amount of time I have between when I read them. Either way, this one was better than the last several I've read.

I really like that Victor isn't taking all the drugs he was to not see/hear the ghosts. He comes across as way better now. I do love his and Jacob's relationship. These two are really great together.

Hopefully, Vic's new partner works out. I'm curious to see where this series goes.

This was a good one. I got to see more of Victor's talents and his confidence has grown some, which is nice to see and I attribute the bulk of that to Jacob.

It's still cute that Victor doesn't really get why Jacob is so into him. They finally say the "I love you"'s to each other and while Victor may not totally get it, he at least appreciates it and is trying. I like when Victor said "It's the whole package he was after (referring to the fact that he is just figuring out that Jacob is after more than his ass). The weird shit I said, and did, and saw. I didn't know why he wanted that. Just thinking about it made my brain hurt." None of that is stopping him from loving Jacob and accepting his love and that is just so damn sweet to me and makes me happy. I can also appreciate that he is such a 'guy' in these moments.

The mystery was interesting too. We get to meet Vic's new partner and so far so good, but there is obviously some history with he and Jacob to find out about. I love all these little tease-y references that keep me going.

This is why I love Victor most of all, Victor's reactions to too much tension. At one point he and his new partner are making a breakthrough with a ghost from his new partner's past and we get:

"Zigler froze. I guess the weather had finally gotten to him. He stared. The dead guy stared. I barely resisted the urge to flop down and make a snow angel just for the sake of being different."

How can you not love that?

Oh man, I loved this one! So much happened here! The mystery was great, but I live for all the Vic/Jacob moments. They’ve become my new favorite couple. 😍 They’re such a perfect match — and I’m not only talking about Jacob’s kink for the paranormal. 😂 I love how he’s just about the only one who doesn’t freak out when Vic does his medium business. Jacob's just so freaking amazing… And Vic deserves all the love and care he can get, the poor baby!

The awkward family dinner was fun (the phantom arm, omg!), as was the house-hunting. Looks like the boys finally found their dream home!

I have a couple of burning questions, mostly about this infamous ‘Camp Hell’ Vic mentions so often. I’d also like to know what’s going on with Lisa. I hope she and Vic reconnect soon…

The books are getting better, just as everyone said! This series is SO GOOD!
