HISTORIAL DE LAS REVISIONES
Este procedimiento es nuevo, no reemplaza a ninguno anterior.
El objeto de las revisiones es el siguiente:
Revisión 01 (Enero 2004)

Establecer un listado de Códigos y Normas Internacionales a aplicar en los Proyectos de
Instalaciones de Superficie.

I. OBJETO
Este procedimiento proporciona la lista de Códigos y Estándares Internacionales a aplicar en el

desarrollo de un Proyecto.
Es de obligado cumplimiento que esta especificación forme parte de la documentación

contractual de todos los proyectos cuyo ámbito de aplicación se define en el apartado II.
II. ÁMBITO DE APLICACIÓN
Esta especificación será de aplicación en los proyectos de inversión de Instalaciones de

Superficie gestionados por la(s) Dirección(es) General(es) y las UN de la Vicepresidencia
Ejecutiva de E&P.
En el caso de que Repsol YPF no sea la compañía titular o no gestione directamente los
Proyectos de Inversión, se tratará, en la medida de lo posible, de implementar a través de la
compañía Operadora, éste u otro Procedimiento equivalente.
III. RESPONSABILIDAD
El Director de Tecnología y Staff Técnico, es el responsable del contenido de este

procedimiento, velar por su cumplimiento y mejora, y realizar las actualizaciones que fueran
necesarias .
IV. INTRODUCCIÓN
Este documento identifica una serie de códigos, estándares y especificaciones aplicables en

Instalaciones de Superficie cuyo cumplimiento contribuye a garantizar la Integridad Técnica de
las instalaciones.
La lista incluida en el apéndice II incluye solamente códigos y estándares internacionales, no

haciendo referencia a legislaciones nacionales o regionales, cuyo cumplimiento debe ser
prioritario en la ejecución de los proyectos.
Así mismo, en el Apéndice II se han marcado (sombreado) los códigos y estándares cuya
aplicación se considera necesaria en los Proyectos de Instalaciones. El resto de documentos se
da como información y referencia quedando a juicio del EGP la inclusión de alguno de ellos en
el Proyecto específico del que se trate.

El orden de prelación es, el siguiente:
• Legislación estatal.
• Códigos y Normativa Local, Regional y Nacional.
• Especificaciones de diseño de Repsol YPF (particulares desarrolladas para y durante el

Proyecto).
• Especificaciones y estándares de Repsol YPF (generales, donde se especifique).
• Códigos y estándares industriales (Apéndice II).
Siempre ha de utilizarse la última revisión emitida y cualquier desviación o comentario debe

ponerse en conocimiento de Repsol YPF para su aprobación.
IV.1. DEFINICIONES
Se incluyen a continuación definiciones comúnmente aceptadas de los diversos tipos de

documentos:
• Código. Una colección completa y sistemáticamente organizada de reglas o preceptos

sobre cualquier materia.
• Estándares. Un documento que contiene un conjunto de condiciones e información que

muestra una solución aceptable a un problema técnico repetitivo.
• Especificación. Descripción detallada de los requisitos de diseño y construcción y del

modo de ejecución de lo que va a ser diseñado, fabricado o construido.

NOTA 2:En la información disponible en intranet (página web del negocio E&P) se establece claramente la posibilidad de uso en áreas clasificadas,
bien de IEC, bien de NEC.
La decisión de utilizar uno u otro código, que debe tomar la Unidad Económica o la Unidad de Negocio, previo asesoramiento de sus responsables
eléctricos, jefes de ingeniería y jefe del EGP, estará basada tanto en la situación de otras instalaciones existentes, como en la tendencia existente en la
zona geográfica en el momento, disponibilidad de equipo y material en el mercado local, y finalmente criterios de coste de instalación.
Nótese que normalmente las unidades paquete provenientes de USA, plantas compresoras en renting o leasing etc., están diseñadas y construidas de
forma e stándar con los criterios establecidos por el National Electric Code.

El tipo de preparación de superficies metálicas y el recubrimiento posterior de las mismas

(estructura metálica y elementos estructurales de hornos, equipos, tuberías etc.) están
relacionados directamente con el mantenimiento de las instalaciones y reviste gran importancia.
Sin embargo las diferentes condiciones climáticas y ambientales de las Unidades de negocio de
Repsol YPF E&P, así como la disponibilidad de los diferentes mercados regionales, hacen muy
difícil la tarea de unificación absoluta de criterios en el tema de referencia.
Se adjuntan como referencia estándares ISO y se recomienda que cada Unidad elabore, en
base a lo expuesto, su propia especificación particular de aplicación en los proyectos de su
ámbito.
