Bu çalışmanın amacı gelişim liginde oynayan futbolcuların mevkilerine göre motivasyon ve kaygı dü... more Bu çalışmanın amacı gelişim liginde oynayan futbolcuların mevkilerine göre motivasyon ve kaygı düzeylerinin karşılaştırılmasıdır. Araştırmanın modeli nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan tarama modelidir. Araştırmanın evrenini 2021-2022 sezonunda Türkiye gelişim liginde oynayan futbolcular oluşmaktadır. Örneklem grubu ise bu sezonunda çeşitli takımlarında oynayan elit U16, U17 ve U19 yaş kategorilerindeki toplam 292 sporcu oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya ilişkin bulguların elde edilmesinde kullanılan veri toplama araçları "Kişisel Bilgi Formu", "Spora Özgü Başarı Motivasyon Ölçeği", "Sporda Kaygı Ölçeği" olmak üzere üç kısımdan oluşmaktadır. Çalışmamızda elde edilen veriler istatistiksel olarak analiz edilmiştir Çarpıklık-Basıklık, histogram, Q-Q Çizelgesi ve Shapiro Wilks analizinden elde edilen sonuçlar sonucunda verilerin normal dağılım gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda ölçek ile alt boyutlar arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek için Pearson Korelasyon Analizi uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda; gelişim liginde oynayan futbolcuların mevkilerine göre motivasyon ve kaygı düzeyleri arasında ilişki saptanmamıştır.

The aim of this study is the examination of the effect of virtual reality based imagery (VRBI) tr... more The aim of this study is the examination of the effect of virtual reality based imagery (VRBI) training programs on the shot performance and imagery skills of athletes and, and to conduct a comparison with Visual Motor Behavior Rehearsal and Video Modeling (VMBR + VM). In the research, mixed research method and sequential explanatory design were used. In the quantitative dimension of the study the semi-experimental model was used, and in the qualitative dimension the case study design was adopted. The research participants were selected from athletes who were involved in our target sports: curling (n = 14), bowling (n = 13), and archery (n = 7). All participants were randomly assigned to VMBR + VM (n = 11), VRBI (n = 12), and Control (n = 11) groups through the "Research Randomizer" program. The quantitative data of the study was: the weekly shot performance scores of the athletes and the data obtained from the "Movement Imagery Questionnaire-Revised." The qualitative data was obtained from the data collected from the semi-structured interview guide, which was developed by researchers and field experts. According to the results obtained from the study, there were statistically significant differences between the groups in terms of shot performance and imagery skills. VRBI training athletes showed more improvement in the 4-week period than the athletes in the VMBR + VM group, in terms of both shot performance and imagery skills. In addition, the VRBI group adapted to the imagery training earlier than the VMBR + VM group. As a result, it was seen that they showed faster development in shot performances. From these findings, it can be said that VRBI program is more efficient in terms of shot performance and imagery skills than VMBR + VM, which is the most used imaging training model.

Bu çalışmanın amacı Erzurum EYOF 2017' de 8 günlük program süresince sporcularda meydana gelen sa... more Bu çalışmanın amacı Erzurum EYOF 2017' de 8 günlük program süresince sporcularda meydana gelen sakatlık ve hastalık oranlarını analiz etmektir. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak, Avrupa Olimpiyat Komitesinden gerekli izinler alınarak Organizasyon Komitesine bağlı olan Sağlık Hizmetleri Direktörlüğünce sporcularda "Günlük Sakatlık ve Hastalık Bilgi Formu" dağıtılarak meydana gelen vakaların bu formlara kaydedilmesi istenmiştir. 8 günlük yarışma süreci sonrasında bu verilere dijital ortama aktarılarak veriler analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmaya toplam 34 ülkeden 392'si erkek (60.6%) 254'ü kadın (39.4%) olmak üzere,yaş aralığı 15 ile 18 arasında olan toplam 646 sporcu katılmıştır. Elde edilen verilere göre festival süresince 25 sakatlık, 25 hastalık olmak üzere toplam 50 vaka meydana geldiği tespit edilmiştir. Bu vakaların 10%'u (n=5) antrenman ve müsabaka öncesi, 90%'ı (n=45) ise antrenman veya müsabaka sırasında meydana gelmiştir. Snowboard en fazla sakatlığın meydana geldiği branş olurken biathlon, kayaklı koşu, curling ve artistik paten branşlarında herhangi bir sakatlık vakasına rastlanmadı. Alp disiplini ise en fazla hastalık vakasının görüldüğü branş olmuştur. Sakatlık ve hastalık gibi vakaların en fazla yaşandığı branş Alp Disiplini iken (n=17) en az vaka yaşanan branşların Curling ve Artistik Patinaj (n=1) olduğu yapılan istatistiksel analizler sonucunda tespit edilmiştir.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between students' attitudes towards ... more The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between students' attitudes towards the recreation specialty and self-efficacy of the students in the Recreation Departments of Sports Sciences and Tourism Faculty. In the study, "Occupational Attitude Scale" developed by Üstüner in 2006 and "General Self-Efficacy Scale" that was adapted to Turkish by Yildirim and İlhan and thereafter developed by Magaletta and Oliver were used. While the scope of the research comprised students studying in Recreation Department, Tourism Faculty, Gazi University and Recreation Department, Faculty of Sports Sciences, Atatürk University, the sample group consists of 79 females, 101 males, making a total of 180 students studying in these departments. It has been found that the data provide normality assumptions by looking at the Skewness-Kurtosis values. In this direction, parametric tests such as T Test and ANOVA were performed. Pearson correlation test was also performed to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and occupational attitude. There is significant difference in terms of faculties of the participants, in terms of occupational attitude and self-efficacy students in favor of Faculty of Sport Sciences. There was also a positive relationship between occupational attitude and self-efficacy (r = 452). As a result, it can be said that they have higher occupational attitude because students of the Recreation Department at the Faculty of Sport Sciences have the opportunity to find more jobs than students of Recreation Department, Tourism Faculty. Also, the high level of self-efficacy of the students in the Faculty of Sports Sciences can be due to their sports knowledge.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, bilgisayar oyun bağımlılığının sporcuların psikolojik becerileri üzerindeki ... more Bu çalışmanın amacı, bilgisayar oyun bağımlılığının sporcuların psikolojik becerileri üzerindeki etkisinin araştırılmasıdır. Araştırmaya Erzurum ilinden aktif olarak spor yapan 714 sporcu katıldı. Veri toplama aracı olarak, "Sporcuların Psikolojik Becerilerini Değerlendirme Ölçeği” ve "Ergenler İçin Bilgisayar Oyun Bağımlılığı Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Basit Doğrusal Regresyon Analizi ve Pearson Korelasyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda, bilgisayar oyun bağımlılığının sporcuların psikolojik becerileriyle yüksek düzeyde ve anlamlı bir ilişkiye sahip olduğu görülmüştür. Elde edilen sonuca göre bilgisayar oyun bağımlılığı sporcuların psikolojik becerilerindeki toplam varyansın %25,3’ünü açıklamaktadır.
The Role of Hand, Eye, and Ear Lateralization in The Sense of Rhythm of The Athletes, 2018
This study was carried out to investigate the relationship among the hand, eye, and ear lateraliz... more This study was carried out to investigate the relationship among the hand, eye, and ear lateralizations and the sense of rhythm of the athletes randomly selected from different sport branches.
A total of 115 elite athletes including 72 males (62.6%) and 43 females (37.4%) whose mean age was 22.3±2.4 years and who receive training at different departments of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Ataturk University were included in the study. Hand preference was assessed based on the Geschwind score by applying Edinburgh Inventory test. The dominant eye was tested by the Dolman Method (hole-in-the-card test). Hearing durations were measured using 128 Hz diapason and digital chronometer. The rhythm perception and application skills were assessed considering the rhythmic answers given practically to the rhythm patterns previously prepared by the researcher.
As for the handedness of the athletes, 16.5% of them were left-handed (n=19), 7.8% (n=9) were two-handed, and 75.7% (n=87) were right-handed. While 18.3% (n=21) had good hearing durations with left ear, and 13.9% (n=16) had good hearing durations with right ear, 67.8% (n=78) had very close hearing durations with two ears. While left eye of 41.7% (n=48) was dominant, the right eye of 58.3% (n=67) was dominant. According to the rhythm perception and application test results, 46.1% of the athletes were weak (n=53), 30.4% at the midlevel (n=35), 13.9% (n=16) good, and 9.6% (n=11) at very good level.
No significant relationship was found between the eye and ear lateralization of the athletes and their rhythm perception and application skills; however, it was found that the sense of rhythm of the left-handed individuals was better than the right-handed ones with respect to the handedness.

Yapılan bu çalışmada Türkiye’nin farklı üniversitelerinde öğrenim gören ve üniversiteler arası ha... more Yapılan bu çalışmada Türkiye’nin farklı üniversitelerinde öğrenim gören ve üniversiteler arası halk dansları yarışmalarına katılan öğrencilerin, davranış özellikleri ile eğlence eğilimleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın evrenini; Türkiye’de bulunan üniversitelerde halk danslarıyla ilgilenen ve aktif olarak gerçekleştiren öğrenciler oluştururken; örneklem grubunu ise Türkiye Üniversite Sporları Federasyonu’nun, 2017 yılı Nisan ayında Muğla Bodrum’da gerçekleştirdiği üniversiteler arası halk dansları yarışmasına katılan üniversitelerden, 179’u kadın, 153’ü erkek olmak üzere toplam 332 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır.
Çalışmada üç bölümden oluşan anket formu kullanılmıştır. Birinci bölümde katılımcıların demografik özellikleri, ikinci bölümde Shen, Chick ve Zınn (2014) tarafından geliştirilen ve Yurt, Keleş ve Koğar (2016) tarafından Türkçe geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışması yapılan Yetişkin Eğlence Eğilimi Özelliği Ölçeği (YEEÖÖ), üçüncü bölümde ise Batıgün ve Şahin (2006) tarafından geliştirilen Davranışlar ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, demografik değişkenleri tespit etmek amacıyla frekans analizi, ölçeklerin cinsiyet değişkenine göre karşılaştırılmasında Independent Samples T-Testi ve her iki ölçeğin birbirleriyle olan ilişkisini incelemek amacıyla Pearson Korelasyon testi uygulanmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda Yetişkin Eğlence Eğilimi Özelliği Ölçeği ile Davranışlar Ölçeği arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir (p<0.01). Araştırmanın sonucunda katılımcıların kişilik eğilimleri ile eğlence eğilimleri arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir (p<0.01). Ayrıca davranışlar ölçeğinden alınan puanların yüksek oluşu bireylerin A-Tipi kişilik eğilimine sahip olduklarını ve bu bireylerin eğlence eğilimi gösterdiğini ortaya koymaktadır.
The objective of this research is to compare the psychological skills of students studying at Ata... more The objective of this research is to compare the psychological skills of students studying at Ataturk University Faculty of Sports Science with different variables and analyze such skills' correlation. Population of the research consists of 1200 students studying at the Faculty of Sports Science whereas the sample group consists of 219 participants in total, being 137 male and 82 female students. For the research, Personal Information Form was used to collect demographic characteristics of the participants whereas Athletic Coping Skill Inventory was used to collect other research data. Various statistical analyses were carried out on the data gathered from the participants by using IBM SPSS Statistics v21.0 software. Shapiro-Wilk test was performed to test whether participant surveys were compliant with the normal distribution; and as a result of the test, it was concluded that the data did not show a normal distribution. Data was analyzed using non-parametric tests. As a result of the study, significant differences were detected between certain variables, such as the gender of the participants and their sport branches, and the scores in certain sub-scales of the Athletic Coping Skill Inventory. Significant correlations were also found among its sub-scales.
Bu çalışmanın amacı, İwasaki ve Mannel (2000) tarafından bireylerin boş zaman aktiviteleri aracıl... more Bu çalışmanın amacı, İwasaki ve Mannel (2000) tarafından bireylerin boş zaman aktiviteleri aracılığıyla stresle başa çıkabileceği inancını ölçmek için geliştirdiği Boş Zaman Stres İle Başa Çıkma İnanış Ölçeği’ nin (Leisure Stress Coping Beliefs Scales) Türkçe dil geçerlik güvenirlik çalışmasının yapılmasıdır. Çalışmaya Atatürk Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesinde öğrenim görmekte olan 241 öğrenci katılmıştır. Envanterin yapı geçerliğini değerlendirmek için doğrulayıcı faktör analizi kullanılmıştır. Yapı geçerliğine ilişkin bulgular, 30 maddeli orijinal envanterin 27 si ile tutarlı olduğu gözlenmiş ve tutarsız olan 3 madde ise çıkarılmıştır. Uyum indeks değerleri; RMSEA=0.055, GFI=0.85, NFI=0.92, NNFI=0.96 ve CFI=0.96 olarak belirlenmiştir. Envanterin iç tutarlık değeri ise 0.87 olarak bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak, Serbest Zaman Stres İle Başa Çıkma İnanış Ölçeği’nin bireyler için geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçüm aracı olduğunu söyleyebiliriz.

In this study, to obtain data about psychological outcomes of the parents, “The Scale of Parents‟ Psychological Outcomes in Sports” developed by Çepikkurt (2005) was used and administered to totally 200 parents, 133 of whom were male and 67 of whom were female. For data analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, independent samples t-tests and one-way ANOVA were performed and LSD test was run to find out the statistical difference.
The results of the study revelaed that statistically significant differences were observed among participants‟ psychological outcome levels such as controlling sub-dimension (p=.036) according to the case of being a licensed sporter, gaining a status sub-dimension (p=.003) and self-esteem sub-dimension (p=.005) based on education level, gaining a status sub-dimension (p=.003), self-esteem (p=.034) and identification (p=.016) sub-dimensions according to the level of monthly income.

ÖZET Bu çalışmanın amacı, Smith R, Schutz R, Smoll F ve Ptacek J (1995) tarafından geliştirilen "... more ÖZET Bu çalışmanın amacı, Smith R, Schutz R, Smoll F ve Ptacek J (1995) tarafından geliştirilen " Sporcuların Psikolojik Becerilerini Değerlendirme Ölçeği " nin Türkçe dil geçerlilik güvenirlik çalışmasının yapılmasıdır. Çalışmaya farklı spor türleri ile ilgilenen 282 sporcu gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Envanterin yapı geçerliğini değerlendirmek için doğrulayıcı faktör analizi kullanılmıştır. Yapı geçerliğine ilişkin bulgular, orijinal envanterin yedi faktör yapısı ile tutarlıdır. Uyum indeks değerleri RMSEA=0.05, SRMR=0.06, NFI=0.90, NNFI=0.95 ve CFI=0.95 olarak belirlenmiştir. Envanterin iç tutarlık değeri ise 0.85'dir. Sonuç olarak, " Sporcuların Psikolojik Becerilerini Değerlendirme Ölçeği " nin sporcular için geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçüm aracı olduğunu söyleyebiliriz. ABSTRACT In this study, it is aimed at studying on Turkish development and validity of the inventory " Athletic Psychological Skills Inventory " which has been developed by Smith R, Schutz R, Smoll F and Ptacek J. (1995). 282 athletes who are interested in different sport branches have taken part in voluntarily. It has been used the analysis of validity factor in order to evaluate structural validity of the inventory. The findings related to structural validity are consistent with the seven factor structure of the original inventory. It has been determined the conformity value as RMSEA=0.05, SRMR=0.06, NFI=0.90, NNFI=0.95 and CFI=0.95. Internal coherent value of the inventory is 0.85. As a result, it can be said that ''Athletic Psychological Skills Inventory'' is a validand dependablee valuation means for the athletes.

The psychology of the athlete before, during and after the competition directly affects his or her performance in the competition. According to the theory of self- determination, satisfying the individual's basic psychological needs is necessary for individual growth, integration, development, mental health and wellbeing. It has become necessary to conduct a research on how effective the satisfaction of basic psychological needs in the development of psychological skills affecting the performance of the athlete during the competition can be achieved by going out of this theoretical way. In this context, it is aimed at investigating the effect of basic psychological needs on psychological skills of athletes.
Method: A total of 150 athletes, 39 females and 111 males, participated in the research in various sports branches. “Assessment of Psychological Skills by Athletes Inventory” and “Basic Psychological Needs Inventory” have been conducted to athletes. Descriptive statistical analysis, t test, ANOVA and linear regression analysis have been used in the analysis of the data.
Findings: As a result of the analyses, there is no significant difference on the gender basis according to the scores obtained from the “Assessment of Psychological Skills by Athletes Inventory”, while there is a significant difference in favor of the national athletes in terms of being national athletes (p=.004). Additionally, a linear regression analysis has been conducted to designate the extent to which the psychological needs of the athletes explain their psychological skills. According to the results, the basic psychological needs explains 22.1% of the total variance related to the psychological skills of the athletes (β=.479, t=6.629, p=.000).
Result: Accordingly, it can be said that satisfying basic psychological needs will contribute to the development of basic psychological skills.

While 18.3% (n=21) had good hearing durations with left ear, and 13.9% (n=16) had good hearing durations with right ear, 67.8% (n=78) had very close hearing durations with two ears. While left eye of 41.7% (n=48) was dominant, the right eye of 58.3% (n=67) was dominant. According to the rhythm perception and application test results, 46.1% of the athletes were weak (n=53), 30.4% at the midlevel (n=35), 13.9% (n=16) good, and 9.6% (n=11) at very good level.
No significant relationship was found between the eye and ear lateralization of the athletes and their rhythm perception and application skills; however, it was found that the sense of rhythm of the left-handed individuals was better than the right-handed ones with respect to the handedness.
Çalışmada üç bölümden oluşan anket formu kullanılmıştır. Birinci bölümde katılımcıların demografik özellikleri, ikinci bölümde Shen, Chick ve Zınn (2014) tarafından geliştirilen ve Yurt, Keleş ve Koğar (2016) tarafından Türkçe geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışması yapılan Yetişkin Eğlence Eğilimi Özelliği Ölçeği (YEEÖÖ), üçüncü bölümde ise Batıgün ve Şahin (2006) tarafından geliştirilen Davranışlar ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, demografik değişkenleri tespit etmek amacıyla frekans analizi, ölçeklerin cinsiyet değişkenine göre karşılaştırılmasında Independent Samples T-Testi ve her iki ölçeğin birbirleriyle olan ilişkisini incelemek amacıyla Pearson Korelasyon testi uygulanmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda Yetişkin Eğlence Eğilimi Özelliği Ölçeği ile Davranışlar Ölçeği arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir (p<0.01). Araştırmanın sonucunda katılımcıların kişilik eğilimleri ile eğlence eğilimleri arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir (p<0.01). Ayrıca davranışlar ölçeğinden alınan puanların yüksek oluşu bireylerin A-Tipi kişilik eğilimine sahip olduklarını ve bu bireylerin eğlence eğilimi gösterdiğini ortaya koymaktadır.
In this study, to obtain data about psychological outcomes of the parents, “The Scale of Parents‟ Psychological Outcomes in Sports” developed by Çepikkurt (2005) was used and administered to totally 200 parents, 133 of whom were male and 67 of whom were female. For data analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, independent samples t-tests and one-way ANOVA were performed and LSD test was run to find out the statistical difference.
The results of the study revelaed that statistically significant differences were observed among participants‟ psychological outcome levels such as controlling sub-dimension (p=.036) according to the case of being a licensed sporter, gaining a status sub-dimension (p=.003) and self-esteem sub-dimension (p=.005) based on education level, gaining a status sub-dimension (p=.003), self-esteem (p=.034) and identification (p=.016) sub-dimensions according to the level of monthly income.
Method: A total of 150 athletes, 39 females and 111 males, participated in the research in various sports branches. “Assessment of Psychological Skills by Athletes Inventory” and “Basic Psychological Needs Inventory” have been conducted to athletes. Descriptive statistical analysis, t test, ANOVA and linear regression analysis have been used in the analysis of the data.
Findings: As a result of the analyses, there is no significant difference on the gender basis according to the scores obtained from the “Assessment of Psychological Skills by Athletes Inventory”, while there is a significant difference in favor of the national athletes in terms of being national athletes (p=.004). Additionally, a linear regression analysis has been conducted to designate the extent to which the psychological needs of the athletes explain their psychological skills. According to the results, the basic psychological needs explains 22.1% of the total variance related to the psychological skills of the athletes (β=.479, t=6.629, p=.000).
Result: Accordingly, it can be said that satisfying basic psychological needs will contribute to the development of basic psychological skills.
