Draft:John Sturge Stephens

Hello RHaworth, Could you please restore Draft:John Sturge Stephens so I am able to work on it. I have recently verified my identity and need to be able to work on this page so that it is in an acceptable format for review. Thank you. SusanSoyinka (talk) 11:26, 3 May 2018 (UTC)

  • You used wikilinks OK in the article. Why cannot you do so here? Delighted to hear that you have verified your identity: being unsure of one's own identity is a terrible state to be in.
Gosh yes, we have gotta get this guy into Wikipedia: not only are he and I both Quakers we are also both members of St John's College, Cambridge. I cannot restore your draft because it is too much of a copyvio but I do want to email you your text and the report that shows the degree of copyvio. So: please follow these instructions and set up an email address and follow this link and select option 2 - the matter is not confidential but I would like a proper email address for you so that I can send an attachment.
One solution is for you to contact 100 First World War Stories and persuade them to licence their website under a {{cc-by-sa-4.0}} or compatible licence. You could also rib them about the way that their website offers translation into 99 other languages but not into Kernowek!
Talking of cc-by-sa-4.0 - do you have a photo of him that is available under that licence? I find your CoI declaration rather puzzling - he died more than sixty years ago - even if you are a close relative, you can get away without a CoI declaration. And wherein lies your CoI? Feel free to phone me - numbers on my website. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:49, 3 May 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for your response. I'm very sure of my own identity, it was Wikipedia that requested the clarification as it believed I was impersonating myself. I have verified my email address so please do send over the deleted draft at your earliest convenience. I completely understand your lack of interest in a number of topics on this site and your relentless desire to "delete the endless dross" that flows into Wikipedia, but it may be worth remembering that one persons dross is another persons interest, or learning opportunity. It might also be prudent to remember that Wikipedia is a site that depends on user contributions. I agree that content needs to be vetted, and coaxed into an acceptable format, but your heavy handed approach does nothing to encourage people to try, try again. American Litho

Hi, Why was the page I created for American Litho deleted? It says you nominated it for speedy deletion. I created the page following the same format as other companies in my area with an existing page. I believe my page was flagged unjustly, as it is not advertising. I purposely removed any "advertising" language and only included company history and milestones, with external citations to reputable industry trade publications mentioning the company. Did you even read the article? I would at least like my work back for a future version. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Swanny913 (talkcontribs) 17:12, 3 May 2018 (UTC)

Please explain why you deleted the page. The page is written with exterior citations not to the company site, listing it in the top of it's category. It was literally copying the format of other companies in this area, which are in my opinion less notable for many reasons, yet their pages exist. Am I going to have to defend myself from trolls with no knowledge of the topic in every article edit? — Swanny913 (talk) 04:45, 8 May 2018 (UTC)

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Camelsdale Primary School, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace. If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it. You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements. If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13. Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:39, 4 May 2018 (UTC)

Dodging Bullets

Hi, Can you please send me the copy that was deleted for a page I put up today? Also, what is the best way to get this page added where it fits in the wikipedia content guidelines. I see you deleted the Rome Foundation and Rome Criteria page. tis is a vital page that is education in the medical field of Functional Bowel disease. to help patients and clinicians a source to and reference for their use. please restore ASAP!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Medwriter77 (talkcontribs) 19:14, 6 May 2018 (UTC)

You have chosen to delete two drat wikipedia pages on the Rome Foundation and Rome criteria without any semblance of communication to me. You apparently may not understand the pages and the material. This is a education document about the field of Functional gastrointestinal diseases. It is a educational resource fr clinicians and patient.s This the gold standard for the diagnosis of functional gastrointestinal disease. It is not a promotional page. It highlights the disease states and the foundation which developed them. Please restore and mail me the information.

Sorry forgot to provide the links User:Medwriter77/sandbox/Rome Foundation , User:Medwriter77/sandbox/Rome Criteria and Rome Process. Full dive VR

Im a student setting up a new page for my english class. When you deleted my FDVR page you said it copys the VR page. This isnt accurate because FDVR is a more advanced version of VR which isnt mentioned on Wikipedia except in the description of an anime show which is all about FDVR. In other words VR and FDVR may have the same parents, but are two very different children. Sorry if im not supposed to talk about this here as im still learning ho to use the Wiki pages and how to interact with others! Just hoping I can convince you that you might have made a mistake. If I can do something to make the page a more reliable source of information I would love to have your help! — ZaGreenScene (talk) 14:13, 7 May 2018 (UTC)

My page was deleted

Hey, New here, I had written an article on Ranbir Singh Freedom Fighter which was deleted about 24 hours ago (21:42, 7th May, 2018). He was a freedom fighter of India and I would be grateful if you could restore the page. Also, would be grateful if you could explain what article 7 means. It was mentioned on the reason for the deletion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anandkamal (talkcontribs) 14:59, 8 May 2018 (UTC)

  • Did you see that A7 was a link? Did you follow that link? If not, why not? Please reply. Your page suggested that you have never looked at any other Wikipedia articles. How many articles contain "Chapter # 1"? Before you do anything else, look at other articles here and learn our style. Hi, RHaworth. You recently reverted my speedy deletion nomination for Category:Law of the Jungle cast members, but did not explain why. Can you please offer an explanation? I nominated it under WP:CSD#G4 on the basis that it replicates the purpose of the category deleted at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2017 June 30#Category:Law of the Jungle (TV series) participants. These "cast members" are people who simply participated in Law of the Jungle. — xplicit 05:39, 9 May 2018 (UTC)

retrieve deleted draft

My draft Draft:Pjsip has been deleted. I cite the source that is referred but it seems that it has "unambiguous copyright infringement" issue. I want to edit the draft to satisfy wiki's terms and conditions but I can't find it any where. CSD questions

Hi, I noticed you deleted three pages I CSDed today. I am working on cleaning up infobox errors (fixing errors in article space). The three you deleted today were article drafts in USER space (on main user pages). I saw no reason to "fix" these dead and forgotten drafts and leave them there. But the CSD info for User space G6 says it applies to "only the default Article Wizard text". Those probably contained more than that. My question is how far can I go with G6? Another example is User:Ade Wahyudi. It's another stale draft, untouched for four years, editor not active for three years. G6 eligible? Thanks. MB 19:57, 9 May 2018 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) That's a good question, and I've wondered the same thing. Personally, I tend to nominate something that has nothing except a repetition of the title (possibly with the word "is" afterwards) and sometimes empty section headers. But that's not default Wizard text, so the question is to what extent G6 is literally deleting default text and how much it's really just for any empty draft. Compassionate727 (T·C) 20:03, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
(tps) if its just the title repeated or another word or other blank sections I've had no issues using CSD on them. Legacypac (talk) 20:40, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
Well, RHaworth went ahead and deleted User:Ade Wahyudi also, so I felt emboldened to CSD some more similar stale drafts in User space. ansh666 declined these CSDs and reverted the deletions on the others by RHaworth. So apparently there are different opinions here. MB 04:19, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
(edit conflict) I posted to your talkpage too, but the pages you nominated most definitely do not apply for G6 {{db-blankdraft}}. I mean, the tag literally says "blank draft". The current default Article Wizard text is the AfC submission template and a subheader for references with the reflist template; it used to be a bit more ("Your text goes here" or something like that). I restored most of the deleted drafts, though many are probably eligible for deletion under other CSD criteria. RHaworth here has a reputation for not checking whether CSDs are valid before deleting; I don't know if it's true or not generally, but that does seem to be what happened in this case. ansh666 04:24, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
Ansh666, please advise exactly what to do with these. You say "probably eligible for deletion under other CSD criteria". I picked G6 because it looked the most appropriate. The other choices (at least those avalable in Twinkle for User pages) are U1,U2,U3,U5, & G11 - all of which are less applicable. Or under General criteria - how about G6 Housekeeping, G13 Old, Abandoned AFC submissions (even if these didn't go through AFC) or Custom Rational. Surely there must be a way to avoid MFD. 04:39, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
If they look like they're promotional, try G11. If they look like they're never going to be valid articles or user pages, try U5. Those are more judgment-call-type CSDs (which I don't do) rather than G6-blankdraft or G13, which have very clear-cut criteria. Otherwise, there isn't a valid CSD criteria for abandoned valid userspace drafts; they need to go through MfD. — ansh666 04:52, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
  • Also recently encountered this problem in this mfD discussion. We definitely need to provide a specific speedy deletion criterion for stale user drafts or extend WP:G13 to cover it. I suggest a time limit of twelve months. If one of you wants to propose it, I will heartily endorse. In the mean time WP:U5 is probably your best bet. If I see a U5 on page that has not been touched for more than I year, I zap it without bothering to fuss over whether it might have been article material. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:16, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
Agreed there. I think there's a discussion at WT:CSD right now about extending G13 to userspace but I'm not watching it. ansh666 17:13, 10 May 2018 (UTC)

Page restoration

Hi there, I am an experienced editor and writing a bio for this page: Draft:John Steven Novak. Can you please restore the deleted page, I am in the process of editing it down and hadn't finished completing the full profile. Happy to take links out that you find aren't relevant [please let me know which ones you think are damaging]. He is a well known and respected media personality in the Australia's Fitness and Health industry receiving a lot of PR coverage hence the references but happy to reword it. If you could let me know I'd really appreciate it. Best, RM — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rebecca J Mason (talkcontribs) 01:28, 10 May 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for coming back to me, I really appreciate it! Ok yup. Appreciate the feedback and comments. Just for context, I met John at function for the organisation I sponsor and had a following conversation that was very inspirational which can be listened to on my podcast here = http://www.betterskinbetter.life/004-uncovering-the-secret-sauce-to-achieving-your-goals-with-john-novak. As you’ll see, I’m a writer for my own blog. This is why I put up the COI even though I don’t work for John and had the one interview. Listeners have been contacting me for his profile hence the wiki. Like I mentioned, what I put up was a draft and appreciate it may have been too advertising/marketing led and thank you for directing me on this, bad habits. In regards to notability, in the version I’ve updated in my sandbox I’ve made sure to include notable references of articles, books and television video series which I had omitted previously. I have placed it in my sandbox for you to view if that would be ok in draft, the only way to save it was to hit the 'publish changes' button [the 'save' button doesn't seem to appear for me] - and as it's in Sandbox it's a draft as intended, not an article I'm pushing to go live. I’d really appreciate if you could feed back to me on how to improve it? Thank you for your time and have inserted my signature this time [I hope]. Rebecca J Mason (talk) 14:02, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

Local Energy Communities

Hi RHaworth, I am completely new on Wikipedia and wanted to write something about local energy communities, Renewable Energy Communities and Renewable Energy Cooperatives. I thought I could exercise in the Sandbox, but that is hard if your draft is already removed after a few days... I don't understand why you consider it as advertisement? this is something the European Commission/parliament/Council are making Directives about. Thanks of bringing it back to the Sandbox, so I can practice more, Dirk Vansintjan, president of REScoop.eu, the European federation of groups and cooperatives of citizens for renewable energy. — Dirk Vansintjan (talk) 11:01, 10 May 2018 (UTC)

  • The main reason that I support Brexit is that the EU never seems to do anything actually useful - see this list. Your piece was an insult: no attempt to conform to Wikipedia formatting standards; could not even create wikilinks. However I accept that it was not spam so I request Heliosxeros to let it remain and let a regular AfC reviewer reject it for lack of notability in due course. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:16, 10 May 2018 (UTC)

User Natheloiz04, again

Hello again, Roger. Sorry to bug you again (previous discussion), but this user has once again resorted to using their userpage as a sandbox. Looking at the log, you salted it until until 9 May, but he's resumed his misuse the next day after the lockdown expired. -- Drm310 🍁 (talk) 17:40, 10 May 2018 (UTC)

  • The stuff I have just deleted looked like it might be legitimate userspace draft material. I note that Natheloiz04, seems to be one of those users who shuns user talk pages but if they can actually manage to ask me, I would probably be willing to restore to a sandbox. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:07, 10 May 2018 (UTC)

Everybody Dies

Could I get an email copy of User:Alan De Smet/Drafts/Everybody Dies? • See chat at #CSD questions above. There is no specific deletion criterion for stale user space drafts but when I see an article that the user has not touched in the last 8 years and nobody else has touched in the last 2 years, I am not going to quibble over whether it is spam or not. Text emailed. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:21, 11 May 2018 (UTC)

Deleted Draft page

Hello, you deleted the draft page I was working on due to notability issues. I was using news press as references and you deemed it as not being notable. There are tons of Wikipedia pages with just one reference which are gotten from news press. So, what is the real issue with my draft page? I have been getting talks about notability with just one reviewer really guiding me on what to do. So, I would be glad if you can really point out the issues with the page, so I can rewrite it with a neutral point of view. Also, I'm not paid to write this content. Thank you so much for your response, but as per wikipedia laws, I have full right as Popovy Sister's manager to write article about them, as long as I disclose myself as their representative (which I did). Also note, Sisters are well known internationally, only in the past year we got approached by Vogue twice (all articles written by Vogue writers), same goes for Flaunt, Basic, etc.., Sister's work got published in books, recently they created dolls for Jean Paul Gaultier himself. I m not a writer who gets paid to write something, I m their manager, and the only reason I work with them, is because they are notable artists and I truly admire their uniqueness and creativity. Plus I dont get paid for writing, I am Art Manager, and get paid from Art Sales only. Thank you for understanding and would highly appreciate you guiding me on what to do next in order to create proper article for Popovy Sisters on Wikipedia. Thank you in advance, Julia mji (talk) 04:48, 17 May 2018 (UTC)

  • Julia, the freedom that one has to post stuff to Wikipedia is deceptive: you most definitely do not have a full right. All content is subject to editorial control which is ferociously applied. I wrote it at http://diapharma.com/product/hemostasis/coagulation-kits/technochrom-fxiii-kit. I am not sure what unambiguous copyright infringement is and if there is something i can do or show to illustrate that I own it? I am a medical writer and have done literature research on a variety of topics including FXIII assays. Thanks, Mike — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hamblema (talkcontribs)

Help with a potential SPI

Good afternoon RHaworth. I was hoping you could help me (by way of your admin goggles) gather evidence for a possible SPI. To begin, today I came across OnTheClock (web app) while reviewing new pages and found the name to be suspicious. I checked the page log, and sure enough OnTheClock was deleted by you via G5. I checked the new article creator's talk page (I will leave them unnamed, but the relevant page is User talk:Norwa30mma) and found evidence that the editor in question had previously created USCryotherapy. As before, I was suspicious about the deleted article's naming format (I like to think I know an attempt to evade the page log when I see one), and soon I found that US Cryotherapy had been deleted, also by you. This pattern of a new editor creating deleted articles with slightly modified names seems suspicious to me, but I need more information. Would you be willing to provide me the name of the editor who created OnTheClock? -- SamHolt6 (talk) 17:50, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

All's well that ends well, thanks for the assistance.--SamHolt6 (talk) 23:23, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

Pawan Gupta

Hi Mate, I have created a biostub on Pawan Gupta, on whom a page was deleted by you earlier. Thought I should let you know. --jojo@nthony (talk) 08:46, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

INTTRA

Dear admin, I would like to create the page for INTTRA as this is one of the major transport portals in liner shipping - https://www.inttra.com/ However I found that page is protected from creation for some reason - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/INTTRA_Inc. Presumably of the low significance? While exactly the same (actually smaller portal GT Nexus is wikified GT Nexus). Inttra covers 25% of the global market of container shipping, i.e. each 4th item you buy from any store is delivered in container handled by INTTRA, so presume the significance is obvious Appreciate your advice. Thanks, Andrii Портовик (talk) 22:32, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

  • Learn wikilinks and indeed, proper formatting for external links! Note the way that the rendering engine has decided that the dot at the end of INTTRA_Inc. in your message is not part of the URL. When I actually find INTTRA Inc., inttra and INTTRA I see a sorry history of cack-handed attempts to create an article. Be aware of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/INTTRA. But the company is probably notable enough. They seem invariably to shout their name but we do not shout on Wikipedia. Create draft:Inttra and start it with: Inttra Inc. (stylised as INTTRA) is a … — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:31, 16 May 2018 (UTC)

yes, I would like my page back!

I have web hosting for my sites, Thank you very much. This page was not finished for 1. did recite references for 2. and was purely factual information about the infamous pirate jay, who he is, what he does and how to obtain further information or works about or from pirate jay... aka; Jason Penrod, the pirate, the sailor, the writer and the photographer. Check the references!!!!! Get out of my sandbox! That is what a sandbox is for right!?!

Did you even read it I feel like No!!! Did you check the References!???? I fell like no as there are well over 40 websites with my name on them and or are directly related to me and or Magazines for several years I was a Writer for... Southwinds!!! I fought the Anchoring Law in Florida and we won with my help and reporting!!! Most of the southwinds articles can be found online, there was some also before "Steve" owner of southwinds Mag, moved to online publishing too as in also, as well as print. Please at least give me a chance to get a copy of my page. and by the way I did not Create the page, A girl Named Morgan Lasher from marco Island created and named the page. As I am A local Celebrity On Marco Island She Suggested That I should have a page too. Thank you, Piratejay (talk) 03:29, 16 May 2018 (UTC) Jason Penrod

  • Blatant self-promotion. If you ever become a celebrity outside of Marco Island, you may be confident that someone with no CoI will write about you here in mainspace. With the greatest reluctance, I am willing to send you your text - read this. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:31, 16 May 2018 (UTC)

As I Have said I did not create this page Morgan Lasher created this page! Morgan was consalting Me like as in a interview probing me for information, I am sorry if it was not done to your liking. That being said, Thank you for emailing me a copy. I will wait for your email. Also I don't call myself Pirate Jay, Others call me that. If I was going to create a wiki page about my self well don't you think I would use my real name... I do the page would have been Jason Penrod/sandbox. Just saying Further proof this was not my creations. Thank you for your time. and can't wait to see a email from you. Can you unprotect Volvo B8L. Every other model of Volvo bus has a page and there is an acceptable draft to move there at Draft:Volvo B8L Legacypac (talk) 07:39, 16 May 2018 (UTC)

I happened to see this image on The Beauty of Transport, and wasn't sure if it was meant to be yours or not (if so they got the name wrong). Thought you'd want to know so you could correct if appropriate. -mattbuck (Talk) 06:52, 17 May 2018 (UTC)

  • Yes, it is mine. I am not sure how it got to Commons at less than its original size and with the EXIF metadata stripped off. I will tell beauty of transport sometime about the spellong error. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:40, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

An article by Adam Atmouse

A good greeting and after that I can recreate the article but not without a promotion or an advertisement. Will it be accepted and not be subject to deletion. — Mohamed Walid (talk) 10:20, 17 May 2018 (UTC)

Adam_afara help me

A good greeting to Your Excellency. I would like to help me remove the promotion from this article and restore it. Because I'm not good in English, I don't know where to advertise. — Mohamed Walid (talk) 08:41, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

You can advertise anywhere but not here. See WP:SPAM. further advertising will result in further deletion of advertising page and ultimately blocking of your account. L293D ( • ) 11:57, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

Huntercoin and Datacoin

Please restore User:RenegadeMinds/Huntercoin and User:0x0F/Datacoin. G4 does not apply to pages "moved to [the] user space or converted to a draft for explicit improvement (but not simply to circumvent Wikipedia's deletion policy)." The latter part is vague but I do not believe it is applicable in this or the vast majority of cases. I declined about 20 unquestionably inappropriate speedy deletion requests by the same user that made those two, which is what put them on my radar. Deleted page Adesse Versions

Hi RHaworth, I've just read the G11 reason concerning the deleted page draft:Adesse Versions. It wasn't my intention to write an overly promotional article, is there any way I can access the article to make amendments? It was my first attempt at a Wikipedia article so I'd really appreciate it if you'd undelete it. Many thanks, Dan — Preceding unsigned comment added by DanSmith101x (talkcontribs) 23:19, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

If we are to continue to be mutually mildly annoyed with each other, and with no referee to stop the fight as TKO... I confidently predict that nothing of any consequence will happen. -- Shirt58 (talk) 11:43, 20 May 2018 (UTC)

Deletion of Brandon Taylorian page

Dear RHaworth, I understand that you recently deleted the page that I had created for Brandon Taylorian despite my contest to its deletion. Would you kindly be able to provide me with the contents of the page that I am able to rewrite it and resubmit? Would it also be possible for me to resend the article's content you before resubmitting in order to earn your approval for resubmission to ensure that the deletion does not reoccur? Once this is done, I will send to Wikipedia:AfC for approval and restoration of the page as it was already in the correct style of Wikipedia. Kind regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jessemillette (talkcontribs) 17:04, 19 May 2018 (UTC)

Luca Zidane

Hello! May you removed protection to Luca Zidane, and redirect to Luca Zidane Fernández? He's a footballer who has made his professional senior debut, so he is now eligible for a wiki page. Regards! Ortizesp (talk) 21:51, 19 May 2018 (UTC)

Why was the page I created deleted

Why was the page I created deleted. It was not advertising. It was factual with plenty of references and cited works. This article came from an objective view and included another wiki page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by V4ldhammond (talkcontribs) 11:51, 21 May 2018 (UTC)
