Main Page appearance: Anodyne (album)
editThis is a note to let the main editors of Anodyne (album) know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on October 5, 2013. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at all, please ask Bencherlite (talk · contribs). You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/October 5, 2013. If it needs tweaking, or if it needs rewording to match improvements to the article between now and its main page appearance, please edit it, following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. The blurb as it stands now is below:
Anodyne is the fourth and final studio album by American alternative country band Uncle Tupelo, released on October 5, 1993. The recording of the album was preceded by the departure of the original drummer Mike Heidorn and the addition of three new band members: bassist John Stirratt, drummer Ken Coomer, and multi-instrumentalist Max Johnston. The band signed with Sire Records shortly before recording the album; Anodyne was Uncle Tupelo's only major label release until 89/93: An Anthology in 2002. Recorded in Austin, Texas, Anodyne featured a split in songwriting credits between singers Jay Farrar (pictured in 2007) and Jeff Tweedy, plus a cover version of the Doug Sahm song "Give Back the Key to My Heart", with Sahm on vocals. The lyrical themes were influenced by country music and—more than their preceding releases—touched on interpersonal relationships. After two promotional tours for the album, which sold over 150,000 copies, tensions between Farrar and Tweedy culminated in the breakup of Uncle Tupelo. Well-received upon its initial release, Anodyne was re-mastered and re-released in 2003 by Rhino Entertainment including five bonus tracks. (Full article...)

Teemu08, it has been pointed out in your nomination of these articles that you have not provided the quid pro quo (QPQ) reviews that are required of all self-nominated articles at DYK. (The requirement is waived for an editor's first five articles; in your case, as you have six that have previously been promoted to the main page.)
As the requirement is that an article for article QPQ be performed, you will need to do two reviews of other nominations. (Your nomination cannot be promoted until these reviews are completed.) If you've never done a review before, the reviewing guide will be a good place to start. The rules are here, with a further explanation of some of the details here. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. Please be sure in your reviews to specify what you have checked—newness, length, hook interest and source support, and so on. Nominations for review are, like yours, on the nominations page. Thanks, and best of luck. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:34, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

New NRHP listings
editThanks for updating the county and state lists with a bunch of the new NRHP listings; as another editor who occasionally updates the lists, I really appreciate the help. When you add new listings, could you please also update Template:NRHP date for lists/dates, so the state lists display which set of listings the list is complete through? The template (and the table it generates at Template:NRHP date for lists) also makes it easier to tell which states need to be updated, which is useful if one state falls behind for a few weeks. TheCatalyst31 Reaction•Creation 23:24, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
- @TheCatalyst31: I will be sure to do that in the future. The only reason I didn't was because the November 8 link wasn't up yet on the NRHP site, but obviously it will be soon. Teemu08 (talk) 19:22, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

A tip for NRIS-only tagging
editI noticed that you've been tagging several articles which cite NRIS mirrors as NRIS-only. Thanks for catching those. I (and probably most other people) completely agree that those articles are NRIS-only, but because of the way NationalRegisterBot is coded, if the article cites both NRIS and a mirror the bot will remove the tag on its next run. I suggest that when tagging those articles, you replace the citation to the mirror with another citation to the NRIS; it avoids that problem, and citing mirror sites is bad practice anyway. (You can leave the mirror in as an external link, but I personally don't see the use of that either.) TheCatalyst31 Reaction•Creation 01:27, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Thanks, plus a minor issue
editFirst, thanks for your contributions. I don't believe we have interacted, but a glance at your talk page confirms you've been busy.
OTRS received an email from User:Katyrw,. I will address her issues regarding how to properly cite material she has written. However, she noted that she received a note on her talk page and had no idea how to respond to it. While new editor make not know to click on a talk link, if the note is not signed, I can sympathize that she had no idea how to identify who left her the note.
It is usual practice to sign such notes. I assume it was left off inadvertently, so simply bringing this to your attention.

Alfred M. Jones
editHi-You did an excellent job with the Alfred M. Jones article. I did make one correction-it was Benjamin Harrison's presidential Campaign Jones was in charge off. I look at the citation and it confirms this. Also Jones was elected to one 4 year term in the Wisconsin Senate then in his time as well as now Wisconsin State Senators served 4 years and half of the senate retiring every 2 years. Also I added citations from the Illinois Legislative Manual for 1875 and the Wisconsin Blue Book 1901 about his legislative services. Okay-I now have a modest request-please do not included myself for DYK credit-the DYK is too political and stressful. Therefore I would appreciate not being included in the DYK nomination. I enjoy history especially Wisconsin history. Many thanks-RFD (talk) 17:26, 11 February 2014 (UTC)

NRHP Weekly List 5/23
editI wanted to let you know why I'm reverting (for now) one of your recent edits. You stated in this edit summary that the completed date for Illinois could be advanced to 5/23 because the Weekly List entry was only additional documentation. However, those "additional documentation" entries are sometimes used to change National Register information that needs to be reflected in Wikipedia's lists and articles: in this case the National Register appears to have changed the spelling for this listing from "Joel H. Hubbard House" to "Joel H. Hulburd House". I've requested a copy of the additional documentation from the NPS so that I can edit the list and article with full confidence. Meanwhile, I don't think the date should be advanced until the name matter is resolved. Thanks for all your great work on Wikipedia. — Ipoellet (talk) 18:06, 23 May 2014 (UTC)

DYK review of United States Senate election in Illinois, 1885
editHello, Teemu08,
I found the above to be suitable for promotion as a DYK. However, the second item in the hook, William Ralls Morrison, is problematic. I have held up approval so that you may address the issues in the article, the issue of ambiguity in the DYK process, or both. Please keep in mind that while I am trying to uphold the DYK standards, I am also ready to be of help if possible.

Newspapers.com check-in
editHello Teemu08,
You are receiving this message because you have a one-year subscription to Newspapers.com through the Wikipedia Library. This is a brief update, to remind you about that access:
- Please make sure that you can still log in to your Newspapers.com account. If you are having trouble let me know.
- Remember, if you find this source useful for your Wikipedia work, to include citations with links on Wikipedia. Links to partner resources are one of the few ways we can demonstrate usage and demand for accounts to our partners. The greater the linkage, the greater the likelihood a useful partnership will be renewed. Also, keep in mind that part of Newspapers.com is open access via the clipping function. Clippings allow you to identify particular articles, extract them from the original full sheet newspaper, and share them through unique URLs. Wikipedia users who click on a clipping link in your citation list will be able to access that particular article, and the full page of the paper if they come from the clipping, without needing to subscribe to Newspapers.com. For more information about how to use clippings, see http://www.newspapers.com/basics/#h-clips .
- Do you write unusual articles using this partner's sources? Did access to this source create new opportunities for you in the Wikipedia community? If you have a unique story to share about your contributions, let me know and we can set up an opportunity for you to write a blog post about your work with one of our partner's resources.
Finally, we would greatly appreciate it if you filled out this short survey. Your input will help us to facilitate this particular partnership, and to discover what other partnerships and services the Wikipedia Library can offer.
Thank you,

Fold3 Wikipedia Library check-in
editHello Wikipedia Library Users,
You are receiving this message because the Wikipedia Library has record of you receiving a one-year subscription to Fold3. This is a brief update, to remind you about that access:
- Make sure that you can still log in to your Fold3 account; if you are having trouble feel free to contact me for more information.
- Remember, if you find this source useful for your Wikipedia work, make sure to include citations with links on Wikipedia: links to partner resources are one of the few ways we can demonstrate usage and demand for accounts to our partners. The greater the linkage, the greater the likelihood a useful partnership will be renewed.
- Write unusual articles using this partner's sources? Did access to this source create new opportunities for you in the Wikipedia community? If you have a unique story to share about your contributions, email me and we can set up an opportunity for you to write a blog post about your work with one of our partner's resources.
Finally, we would greatly appreciate if you filled out this short survey. The survey helps us not only better serve you with facilitating this particular partnership, but also helps us discover what other partnerships and services the Wikipedia Library can offer.
Thank you,
Thank you for uploading a picture of the Roberts, Johnson and Rand-International Shoe Company Complex. I've started a stub. I am wondering on the Rand family. Feel free to expand the page if you can. Thank you.Zigzig20s (talk) 10:53, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
Licensing on some old Flickr photos
editI recently attempted to transfer File:DuPage Theatre.JPG and File:JJensenHouse.JPG to Commons, but the license of the photos changed on Flickr since you uploaded them, and they both got deleted before I could say anything about it (as I don't check Commons too often). I restored them locally for the time being, but I'd like to get the situation sorted out one way or the other if possible. I'm sure they were under a free license at one point, but can you confirm that (if you remember)? Also, do you remember if there are any other images you uploaded from those photographers that I might need to watch out for? Thanks, and sorry if you don't remember any of this since they're pretty old uploads. TheCatalyst31 Reaction•Creation 04:19, 21 September 2015 (UTC)

Photos
editIf you're ever around much, would you be willing to get a few courthouse photos in northern and central Illinois? Statewide, 87 counties have images of their current courthouses (this count ignores former courthouses, e.g. the Old Iroquois County Courthouse), and the only ones missing images are Boone, Bureau, Fulton, Iroquois, Kendall, Marshall, McHenry, McLean, Menard, Montgomery, Sangamon, Stark, Will, Winnebago, and Woodford. Anything you could contribute would help; recent trips to Little Egypt have gotten photos for Alexander, Fayette, Gallatin, Pope, Pulaski, and Randolph, but I don't have any opportunities to visit places north of I-70.
