Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Amanda Araújo

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Amanda Araújo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. – i'm FxdhMxdh (talk) 20:42, 6 August 2016 (UTC)

Hi Tamariki,

I started to clean up this template, but then realized I wasn't sure if the apostrophes all meant the same thing. Are they always glottal stop / ʻokina, or are they sometimes punctuation, indicating a contraction? E.g. the island Hạf’liua -- could the fact that it has a curly apostrophe (against the MOS) mean that it's actually /hạfliua/? — kwami (talk) 23:12, 25 July 2020 (UTC)

date formats

Kia ora Tamariki, could I possibly ask for a favour? Could you please start using the appropriate date format for New Zealand articles, known as dmy dates? Wikipedia:Overview of date formatting guidelines gives the context. By way of example, for Georgia Ponsonby, it should be "born 14 December 1999". In the infobox, you achieve that date format by adding "|df=y" (which stands for 'day first'), i.e. {{bda|1999|12|14|df=y}}. Much appreciated. Any questions, please ask. Proposed deletion of Laurie Spicer-Bourdon

The article Laurie Spicer-Bourdon has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Was she known by another name? It seems that she hasn't received much independent attention (USA Rugby isn't independent when reporting about their national team of course), and this isn't notable. Even USA Rugby is of dubious quality, listing her birth date as 1 January 1992...[1].

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. International rugby rivalries for women

I see you have made articles of the history of the Black Ferns' games with England and France. I have been intending to do something like this a few years now and I just wanted to alert that I'm interested in collaborating if you don't mind. If you look at my sandbox, you will be able to see that I have already listed the stats and all the games of the rivalries between Canada, France, New Zealand and the US as well as a few of the Six Nations rivalries in addition to international cricket rivalries.

I was thinking we should format it the same way that rivalries of men's teams is formatted and we should also make a template of all the rivalries of the first-tier (Six Nations and Pacific Four) teams. I also think instead of naming the articles History of rugby union matches between X women and Y women, we should title them History of women's rugby union matches between X and Y to cut the already long title as well as make a point that there will never be an intersex game.

What you thinking? Mikey'Da'Man, Archangel (talk) 20:25, 14 December 2022 (UTC)

Hi @Mikey'Da'Man, Archangel, yes I would be interested in contributing in any way I can. I don't know much about cricket but I can help rugby-wise. I'll let you take the lead on formatting and stuff; also, feel free to edit my articles if you think they need improvement.
Thanks, Tamariki (talk) 07:09, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
Splendid. I shall not be working on it now though because I'm a salty Englishman, and I currently am more interested in doing the cricket at the moment (which I was never intending on getting you to help with anyway). But when I get back to it, I'll do my part. Mikey'Da'Man, Archangel (talk) 17:18, 15 December 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Rugby Challenge 4

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rugby Challenge 4, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
