Charlie Mills (animator)

edit

I'm not sure we can do much with this article - wouldn't it make more sense to write an article on CMTB Animations, which can combine both animators' work. I seem to remember one or both of them did the silly noises on "Stoppit and Tidyup" - while I was too old really to watch that, even 30 years ago, it did feature The Togmeister narrating it. Unspecified source/license for File:Annoying Orange.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Annoying Orange.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Speedy deletion nomination of Annoying Orange (character)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Annoying Orange (character) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://annoyingorange.wikia.com/wiki/Orange. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Non-free rationale for File:Annoying Orange.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Annoying Orange.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 03:00, 22 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of The Houghton Brothers

Hi. I see in a recent addition to The Cat in the Hat (character) you included material copied from the Seuss Wiki.   Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Cooper Barnes. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Your previous efforts on this were reverted, so you knew your edits were problematic, and worse you failed to work on the DRAFT article like you are supposed to in situations such as these. --IJBall (contribstalk) 13:51, 8 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

I generally don't review new pages, esp. on request. But Mind Blowing Breakthroughs has just one single WP:Primary source and no WP:Secondary sources – on that basis alone, it does not demonstrate notability under WP:GNG (or WP:TVSHOW) and should be moved to WP:Draftspace until it is sourced enough to demonstrate notability under Wikipedia's policies. This is exactly the same issue with the Cooper Barnes article – he has not gotten nearly enough independent coverage to qualify for a WP:BLP article as per WP:BASIC. --IJBall (contribstalk) 15:31, 8 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Looney Tunes Cartoons, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Paul Julian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Brian Atkinson (voice actor) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Brian Atkinson (voice actor), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.   Please do not delete or flag potential "spoilers" in Wikipedia articles. It is generally expected that the subjects of Wikipedia articles will be covered in detail, and giving a section a title such as "Plot" or "Ending" is considered sufficient warning to the reader that the text will contain revelations about the narrative. Deleting such information makes the article less useful for a reader who is specifically trying to find out more about the subject. For more information, see Wikipedia's guidelines on spoilers. Thank you. -- /Alex/21 02:53, 6 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Magitroopa (talk) 03:33, 11 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Pottsylvania Creeper

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Pottsylvania Creeper requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. – DarkGlow () 15:54, 9 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source/license for File:Zack&Cody.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Zack&Cody.jpg. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 05:01, 3 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Zack&Cody.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Zack&Cody.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.

Whpq (talk) 11:08, 3 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

OK, fair enough - I didn't realise it had been released yet, I see it's available on Netflix now. To explain my concern, there has been a great deal of disruption around Oggy Oggy in recent days, with numerous sockpuppets trying to create promotional articles about people involved in the show and uploading copyright violations. Copy/paste of draft article

edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Ice_Age:_Scrat_Tales a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Ice Age: Scrat Tales. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 11:26, 19 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Novie Edwards

edit

If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

The page Novie Edwards has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, or you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Candace Flynn.PNG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 02:02, 2 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Ridiculous Robo Boogers.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Ridiculous Robo Boogers.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 02:04, 2 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Dog Man logo.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Dog Man logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:05, 28 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Clear and straight-forward revert, and I see no evidence that this is the consensus version according to the talk page. Regarding I didn't techincally revert this time that is not accurate. Per Help:Reverting, Any method of editing that has the practical effect of returning some or all of the page to a previous version counts as a reversion. With that in mind, this edit reverted this edit by reverting the "Jack" entry back to where it was in this edit, which is still a revert, even with the source being changed. - Aoidh (talk) 11:51, 20 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I took a moment to cool down and I finally see my problem, I reverted despite the outcome. I revert Jack back to the main subheader without Someonewhoisusinginternet's approval. I just wanted people to know Jack is a main character too. So I removed a topic called "Main Characters" and replaced it with "Evidence that Jack is a main character" after Someonewhoisusinginternet didn't reply to my reply, then I reverted without any idea of the outcome, I just didn't want Someonewhoisusinginternet to disapprove my evidence again. I have autism and I am never aware the outcomes. If I get unblocked, I will leave Main and Recurring sub-headers alone. And if Jack is going to be on the Main character sub header, I'm gonna leave it to other users to put him there.

@Someonewhoisusinginternet Okay, fine, if you don't want to believe Jack is a main character, then why not just edit every Fandom wiki page that says Jack is a main character like this one:

That's a Fandom. Fandoms just like Wikipedia, are being edited by at least a million users every day. NoobThreePointOh (talk) 17:46, 30 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:39, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
