Recent edit to List of supercentenarians from Asia

edit

Hello, and thank you for your contribution to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to the List of supercentenarians from Asia article. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. Thank you! Your recent editing history at List of Australian supercentenarians shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. DerbyCountyinNZ (Talk Contribs) 18:17, 11 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

It's not a good idea to edit war in this topic area. As stated in edit summaries, you need to provide a source that states a person has reached their 110th birthday before they can be added to an article. A two year old source from when they were 108 is not good enough. I strongly advise you to either provide a source or leave the page alone. If you don't you will find yourself blocked or topic banned. CommanderLinx (talk) 10:11, 12 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

I've been updating the Longevity pages for about 9 years. When you attempt to update the pages incompletely and inaccurately. This is of no help. It is more difficult to clean up your mess than to update the tables correctly. Please take note and react accordingly.TFBCT1 (talk) 00:39, 24 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

@TFBCT1: Wikipedia is free for anybody to provide contributions. Just because some people may have been editing articles longer than others does not mean they have additional privileges. Updates are done in good faith and as accurately as possible. Crveni5 (talk) 02:17, 25 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
The longevity pages are a specialized group with specialized conditions. I have been doing the daily updates for ten years on all pages. I have also been cleaning up your "good faith" attempts for over 6 months. As I said previously, although your "good faith" attempts are appreciated, they are not helpful. They are always incomplete and more often then not "in error." And they certainly aren't needed. All updates are already done completely, correctly, and in a timely fashion. It is more timely to re-do your mistakes. Understood?TFBCT1 (talk) 16:15, 25 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Paris_Jackson.jpg

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on File:Paris_Jackson.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ___CAPTAIN MEDUSAtalk (We are the champions, my friends) 11:30, 29 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

You are deliberately going against the long-standing consensus of longevity articles on Wikipedia, AFAIK all such lists; ties always go in chronological order. DerbyCountyinNZ (Talk Contribs) 11:02, 25 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

So please provide an example of where I have 'vandalised' a list on Wikipedia. Crveni5 (talk) 07:47, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your latest edit! Despite the above warnings you've done the same thing yet again. Do you actually have any idea what you are doing??? DerbyCountyinNZ (Talk Contribs) 08:25, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Yet again you make accusations with no evidence to support your claims. I updated a number of pages this evening. All of them were left in chronological order. Crveni5 (talk) 08:49, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Well either you do not understand the concept of chronological order, or we are seeing different versions of the table (this is possible as the cache does not always clear when the viewing an updated page). So, as I see it, after my revert the order is in the men:
88 Domenico Minervino 10 May 1880 21 May 1991 111 years, 11 days Italy
89 Nijiro Tokuda 10 June 1895 12 June 2006 111 years, 2 days Japan
Moacyr Nunes Barroso[1] 31 March 1909 Living 115 years, 246 days Brazil
Zhou Youguang[2] 13 January 1906 14 January 2017 111 years, 1 day China
90 Valentino Stella 2 January 1886 1 January 1997 110 years, 365 days Italy
91 Giichi Okumura 18 October 1896 13 October 2007 110 years, 360 days Japan
92 Charles Shebanek 9 September 1883 27 August 1994 110 years, 352 days United States
93 Antonio Pierro 22 February 1896 8 February 2007 110 years, 351 days United States
Jules Théobald 17 April 1909 Living 115 years, 229 days France (Martinique)
94 Carl Berner 27 January 1902 7 January 2013 110 years, 346 days United States

Whereas your edit looks like this:

88 Domenico Minervino 10 May 1880 21 May 1991 111 years, 11 days Italy
Moacyr Nunes Barroso[3] 31 March 1909 Living 115 years, 246 days Brazil
89 Nijiro Tokuda 10 June 1895 12 June 2006 111 years, 2 days Japan
Zhou Youguang[4] 13 January 1906 14 January 2017 111 years, 1 day China
90 Valentino Stella 2 January 1886 1 January 1997 110 years, 365 days Italy
91 Giichi Okumura 18 October 1896 13 October 2007 110 years, 360 days Japan
92 Charles Shebanek 9 September 1883 27 August 1994 110 years, 352 days United States
Jules Théobald 17 April 1909 Living 115 years, 229 days France (Martinique)
93 Antonio Pierro 22 February 1896 8 February 2007 110 years, 351 days United States
94 Carl Berner 27 January 1902 7 January 2013 110 years, 346 days United States

So on my list because Tokuda and Barrso are both 111 years and 2 days but CHRONOLOGICALLY Tokuda was the earliest he appears ABOVE Barroso. Same for Pierro and Theobald, same age but as Pierro reached that age first he is above Theobald.

Either you are not seeing the same thing I am or you do not understand that chronological order means the person that reached the age first goes above the person that reached that age later. DerbyCountyinNZ (Talk Contribs) 09:51, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you CaptainEek. I have been the victim of bullying for the last five years by another Wikipedia user. Most of my edits have been keeping the articles regarding longevity up to date. Plus I edit some soccer related articles. Many people access and edit these articles. But only one person constantly harasses me claiming I am vandalizing articles. If that was true then other Wikipedia users would also identify this issue. But it is only DerbyCountyinNZ. Wikipedia has a clear policy regarding bullying of other users and I strongly suggest that they read and understand what they are doing is bullying in is a breach of this policy. Thanks for uploading File:Northbridge FC.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 10:33, 15 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: Abbeyard has been accepted

edit

Abbeyard, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

Congratulations, and thank you for helping expand the scope of Wikipedia! We hope you will continue making quality contributions.

The article has been assessed as Stub-Class, which is recorded on its talk page. It is commonplace for new articles to start out as stubs and then attain higher grades as they develop over time. You may like to take a look at the grading scheme to see how you can improve the article.

Since you have made at least 10 edits over more than four days, you can now create articles yourself without posting a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for creation if you prefer.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to ask at the help desk. Once you have made at least 10 edits and had an account for at least four days, you will have the option to create articles yourself without posting a request to Articles for creation.

If you would like to help us improve this process, please consider leaving us some feedback.

Thanks again, and happy editing!

Image source problem with File:CSA Australia Savez.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:CSA Australia Savez.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:56, 23 February 2023 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 05:56, 23 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Essendon Royals Crest.png

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Essendon Royals Crest.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 13:21, 25 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Langwarrin SC.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Langwarrin SC.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 11:56, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Possible Account Hijacking

edit

Your account may have been hijacked by someone to possibly vandalize the "List of Canadian supercentenarians" last evening. It appears that an edit regarding the death of Madeleine Stanley was undone by you account . No reason was given despite the requirement to do so when undoing an edit. I fixed the problem but you should change your password to prevent someone from doing this again. Thank you and good luck. Rklingmann (talk) 00:43, 8 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

You Rklingmann are an idiot. My account was NOT hacked. Where is your proof? Those edits were done by me. You made a mistake in one of your edits which I corrected but that clearly triggered you. Your comments "possible vandalism" are just a poor attempt to justify your actions of reversing my edits. Why is it Wikipedia attracts cellar dwellers like you? In future provide evidence before jumping to incorrect conclusions. Fool. Crveni5 (talk) 07:33, 9 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
