AfD nomination of Tornado (robot)

edit

An editor has nominated Tornado (robot), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tornado (robot) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 23:59, 2 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

[1] 1. What valid point is this? 2. How does that have anything to do with the organization, which is unclear? WhisperToMe (talk) 17:40, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

For point 1, the valid point was the removing of Aki's name, which is stated (specifically, in the Seismosaurus episode). For point 2, the page seems better organised now anyway, so we needn't go on too much. CBFan (talk) 17:53, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, well, all you needed to do was cite the episode :) - Use the <ref> and </ref> to create references. - See the talk page WhisperToMe (talk) 17:55, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ah, thank you. I thought they were the actual names so I reverted your edit. DinoQueen13 (talk) 11:39, 1 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Question

edit

Hey there - on the List of Crash Bandicoot characters page, the following line appears: Ripper Roo's voice consists of sound clips of the hyena's laughter in Disney's 1955 film Lady and the Tramp.

Now, I'm no expert on CB, nor on Disney, but I don't recall a hyena in Lady and the Tramp. Since you're my resident subject matter expert, can you confirm that (and source it?) or remove it? I know you didn't put it in there, but you're the only person I know to ask!

Thanks! - Philippe 16:27, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Answer-There IS a hyena in "Lady and the Tramp". He appears during the scene when Lady and Tramp visit the zoo to attempt to remove Lady's muzzle. After they have a rather unsuccessful attempt with an alligator, he is shown laughing at them. There's your answer. One hyena in one certain movie. CBFan (talk) 17:54, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Wow, learn something new every day. Thanks! - Philippe 23:07, 21 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

However, in order to say "X sounds like Y" you will need a source. If a press source stating this cannot be located and the similarity is not obviously deliberate, such a statement would be Wikipedia:Original research. WhisperToMe (talk) 03:45, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why are you telling me that? Wouldn't it make more sense to tell this to the person who put it in the first place? CBFan (talk) 09:39, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

RE: Storm 2

edit

I'll ignore the civility issue for now and go straight to the point. Please do not re-direct the page again. I've changed it enough from the Robot Wars wikia. If you feel the article needs a re-write, I invite you to re-write it! But please, stop the aggressiveness and help build the article to an acceptable standard. John Sloan (talk) 15:29, 4 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Note - I've done a minor re-write on the introduction. John Sloan (talk) 15:37, 4 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
That is still not good enough. It is a C'n'P first and foremost. As I said on the article itself, I encourage you to read the articles for the other robots that have them and develop Storm 2 from that. It'll be so much better. In fact, I think ALL of Storm 2's fights are on YouTube, so doing a battle report should be easy enough. CBFan (talk) 16:48, 4 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've re-written the fight section to conform with the others on Wikipedia. I'll do the fight-reports another time (have to go offline now). Cheers John Sloan (talk) 16:58, 4 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, you clearly are vandalising, and it's blatantly obvious you're vandalising, because you insist on adding false information to pages. Last I checked, that's vandalising. CBFan (talk) 21:15, 4 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
I haven't added false info. I'm removing non-notable info. I'm starting with more recent happenings. Skeletal SLJCOAAATR Soul teh Hedgie 21:28, 4 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
But you're NOT removing "non-notable info", you're removing info you refuse to believe as correct. If you HAD been removing it, you wouldn't be telling lies. And it clearly is false info, because you're insistant that "Stepney hasn't been seen since Season 7". That's clearly a lie because he was seen in Season 12. And when you rave about how "cameos are not notable", it STILL fails because his S6/7 appearances WERE cameo. CBFan (talk) 21:31, 4 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Magitroopa (talk) 17:36, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

What, so "This doesn't need to exist because other celebrity talent shows don't have it" isn't a valid reason? It seems like a perfectly valid reason to me. CBFan (talk) 17:38, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
That would be entirely WP:OSE- what is done on other articles does not dictate what is done on these articles. Please discuss rather continuing to remove things you don't agree with. Magitroopa (talk) 17:39, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Why should I discuss it when you don't even read what I wrote? I clearly gave what I considered a valid reason, and you deliberately ignored it and claimed I didn't. CBFan (talk) 17:41, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Two different editors have already reverted your removals at this point- WP:BRD should be followed. "Other TV celebrity talent show pages don't have it." clearly falls under WP:OSE.
These massive removals should not just be decided to be entirely removed- instead, they should actually be discussed rather than continuing to remove them just because you don't like/agree with it. Masem has just started a discussion here, feel free to comment/discuss the issue there. Magitroopa (talk) 17:48, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Except the first editor is the one who added them in the first place, and the second editor, you, deliberately ignored my reasoning by saying I'd put nothing at all when I clearly had. CBFan (talk) 17:53, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Borås Djurpark, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Red Panda. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

I don't really know what we need to do here. We have all the information we need to start the article. You're a member of the Masked Singer wiki/fandom, right? You've seen all the information.
