Founding date
editThe current version has note about the uncertainty around the founding date of the company. I found an article in the Wheeling Intelligencer, "A Co-operative Establishment at Bellaire", from Aug 9, 1867 on page 2. It gives a start date of August 1865, with manufacture starting in January 1866. It has a lot of other details about the company as well. The article could be wrong, but thought I'd throw this note in here for anyone researching the topic. Horrorcheck (talk) 02:28, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- Excellent find! This article was written before the author had many skills finding good sources. I will incorporate this information into the article. Thank you very much! TwoScars (talk) 17:27, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
