Japan had sex shops before WW2. My step father encountered them during the US Occupation of Japan. He said the Occupation Administration didn't like them because they didn't understand Japanese culture. The statement that Beate Uhse started the 1st sex shop in the world seems objectively wrong and probably based on false advertising. I wonder if there were sex shops in 1920s Berlin as they had every other form of sex activity. Saltysailor (talk) 04:30, 6 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
