Christmas Arrangement

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Wednesday!  One week until the Big Day, are you ready?  I'm almost there, I have a few gifts left to wrap, 2 Christmas luncheons to attend and grocery shopping for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners.

I have a quick share today featuring the Christmas Arrangement Stamp Set by Penny Black, No. 40-646. I've colored with alcohol markers and splattered with Dr. Ph. Martin's White Ink.

This is a lovely image and it's quite large.  My panel measures 3.75" x 5", so that gives you an idea of the stamp size.  I kept the design to a minimum of 2 layers and embellishments; only adding 3 gold sequins.  The sentiment strip is from a package of pre-made sentiment by Simon Says Stamp, and it's been popped on craft foam for dimension.

I hope you are almost ready for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day...or at least more than half way there.  That's all I have for today, so until next time, Happy Crafting!

Classic Design Challenge #12-2024 Anything Goes with Optional: Happy Holidays

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!  The 15th of the month saw the opening of a new challenge at The Classic Design Challenge Blog.  We have 3 generous sponsors this month:  Keen Crafter Designs, Sheepski Designs and Dr. Digi House of Stamps.

For my team project, I've colored up the "On the Fence" No. 278 digital image from Sheepski Designs.  This image is versatile and can be used for Christmas or Winter cards.  I've chosen to go with a Winter theme.

I've colored the image using alcohol markers, the papers are from a 6x6 paper pack by Alina Crafts.  I've cut the focal image using a scalloped edge oval nesting die, also from Alina Crafts.

The sentiment is from the Snowflake Season stamp set from Penny Black.  I have popped the strip on foam pads for dimension. Before calling this card complete, I splattered with a white Posca pen to replicate Snow.

The team and I hope you'll join in and share your projects with us this month, and we hope to inspire you with our projects.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Beautiful Blossoms Challenge #24

Hello Friends and Happy Sunday!  It's the 15th of the month and that means a new challenge month at The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge Blog.  Our challenges are Always Anything Floral Goes with an Optional Mood Board for Inspiration.  The mood board this month is:

Given the time of year, I thought it would be fun to create a non-traditional Christmas Card using colors from the mood board.  My card features the Filigree Tree digital image from Power Poppy and I've colored using alcohol markers.

After coloring the image, I fussy cut it and cut a frame from white card.  I've embossed the frame and placed a panel of glitter card within the aperture, then placed the image, which has been popped on foam pads for dimension.

The sentiment strip is from a package of pre-made holiday sentiments by Simon Says Stamp, and has been placed on craft foam as well.  I've added no other bells and whistles as I felt the glitter card added the right amount of holiday sparkle.

The team and I invite you to join us at The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge this month, we would love to see your Floral Focused projects, and if you use the optional mood board as inspiration, all the better.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Candy Cane Christmas

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Fri-YAY!  I hope you're week has been wonderful and you have plans for something fun this weekend.  For me, I'm hoping to get some Christmas packages wrapped and under the Tree along with some crafty time.

Today I have a quick share featuring an image from the "Candy Cane Christmas" stamp set by Picket Fence Studios.  I've colored the image using alcohol markers.

As I've stated many times before, I'm not a CAS kinda girl.  I love texture, color and pattern so in an attempt to go CAS with this card, I just couldn't resist splattering with Dr. Ph. Martin's White Ink.  I just can't help myself; when I look at one of my CAS designs, it always looks like it's missing something.

No other bells or whistles have been added, and a huge KUDOS to those who are CAS masters, who make their designs look stunning.  That's all for today, so until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Star

Happy Wednesday!  I hope your week has gone well thus far and you've made progress with your Christmas preparations.  Today I have plans to wrap gifts and get them under the tree...we shall see how that goes.  But for now, I have a quick share featuring the Penny Black Stamp Set titled The Star #31-082.

Isn't she just the sweetest?  I've colored her using alcohol markers and cut out the focal image, along with the sentiment and mat using nesting circle dies from Kat Scrappiness.

The patterned paper is from "Miss Mary Christmas" 6x6 paper pad by Hobby Lobby and the sentiment is from a holiday set by Memory Box. Before cutting out the focal image, I've splattered it with Dr. Ph. Martin's Pen White ink to give the illusion of snow.  Lastly, I've added a green twine bow and Crystal Stickles to the Star.

I hope you have a great day!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Joyful Journey

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday!  I hope your week was awesome and you're getting into the Christmas Spirit.  Today, I have a quick share featuring an adorable sledding Squirrel.  The stamp set is the Penny Black Joyful Journey #30-761.  There is a coordinating die set, which I've used to cut out the images for my card.

I've colored the images using alcohol markers and created a snowy hill by hand trimming a piece of white card.  I've stamped the sentiment and then embossed the "hill" with a snowflake embossing folder from Darice.

The background paper is from a holiday paper pack by Alina Crafts, and the images have been popped on foam pads for dimension.  Lastly, I've added my trusty Crystal Stickles to the holiday packages.  I hope the packages and parcels are strapped on the sled as I think they may be going faster downhill that it appears.

Have a fantastic weekend and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Inspiration Station Challenge #68 - December 2024

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!  It's the 1st Monday of the month and that signals a new challenge at The Inspiration Station Challenge Blog.  We have a fun and festive inspiration photo for you this month:

I cannot resist a homemade Gingerbread Cookie at Christmas, especially with a cup of Hot Cocoa.  I was directly inspired by the Gingerbread cookie in the photo and colored the Gingerbread Man Digital image from Mo Manning for my team project.  And here's an FYI - this image is FREE at Mo's site HERE

I've duplicated and flipped the single image so I would have 2, facing each other, then colored using alcohol markers and fussy cut them.  I'll add that I've doodled in the "icing" as the image does not have that design element.  The patterned papers are from the "A Gingerbread Christmas" 6x6 paper pad by Echo Park.

The sentiment is a cut apart from the paper pad, I've popped the Gingers and the sentiment on foam pads and added sequins from my stash.  Lastly, no self respecting Gingerbread would be seen during the holidays without some sparkle, so I've added my trusty Crystal Stickles to the icing.

We hope you're inspired by our projects this month, and we hope you'll share your inspired projects with us.  It's time to get serious folks, Christmas is 22 days away!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Flowering Santa

Happy Fri-YAY friends!  I hope your week has been great; if you celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday, that it was a day filled with blessings.  We had a quiet family day with lots of food, laughs, football and naps!

I have a quick share for you featuring the Flowering Santa digital image from Power Poppy.  The image caught my eye, I just had to have it, so unique and the artistry is amazing.

Santa's beard is full of holiday florals and I've colored the image using alcohol markers. After coloring, I fussy cut the image and popped on foam pads.  The background panel is embossed with a 3-D poinsettia design; the embossed panel was gifted to me in a card swap.

You can see a bit of the embossing in this photo, and of course the Crystal Stickles covered poinsettia flower.  The sentiment is pre-made from a package of sentiments by Simon Says Stamp.  Lastly, I've added silver sequins to complete the sparkly, holiday design.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, tomorrow we plan on putting up the Christmas decorations.  I love all the decor and twinkling lights but it is becoming harder and harder to get it all up.  I may have to think about downsizing the decorating.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Kindness & Joy

Hello Friends and Happy Sunday!  I hope your weekend has been lovely thus far, we're having a "cold snap" here in Central Florida and it's been nice to wear leggings and long sleeved tops, and have the windows open to air out the house.  Temperatures will soon be back to their seasonal norms, I hope the cooler weather returns, at least for Christmas.

Today, I have a quick share featuring the Kindness & Joy Stamp Set from Penny Black #30-778. I collect Snowmen so I fell in love with this adorable image, it's perfect for holiday and winter cards.

I've colored the image using alcohol markers, the patterned papers are from the "Winter Wonderland" 6x6 paper pad by Doodlebug Design.  I've cut the focal image and mat using scalloped stitched oval nesting dies from Alina Craft.

The sentiment is pre-made and from a package of holiday sentiments by Scrapbook.com, and I've popped it on foam pads for dimension.  To finish off the design, I've added shiny sequins from my stash and Crystal Stickles have been added to the Snowman hat band and mistletoe.

Thanks all I have to share today, I hope you have a fabulous week.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Santa's Sweets

Hi Friends and Happy Thursday!  I hope your day has been enjoyable thus far, it's a beautiful day here in Central Florida.  It's sunny, breezy and the temperature is only 64 degrees F, which is so nice that I have my windows open, enjoying the fresh air.

I'm in full swing with Christmas cards and today I'm sharing the Santa's Sweets Stamp Set #31-083 from Penny Black.  This set has a matching die, I do own it but I didn't use it here, instead I've used a Wavy Nesting Die from Kat Scrappiness to cut out the focal image.

I've colored the image using alcohol markers and the patterned papers are from the "A Gingerbread Christmas" 6x6 paper pad from Echo Park.

The focal image has been popped on foam pads for dimension, I've added a few sequins from my stash and of course....Crystal Stickles on Santa's hat brim, suit trim and hat pom pom.

When my children were small, on Christmas Eve we put out cookies and milk for Santa and sprinkled Magical Reindeer food around the house.  Santa AKA my husband loved his midnight snack.  And if you've never heard of Reindeer Food, you can find the "recipe" HERE

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Jingle Friends

Happy Tuesday Crafty Friends!  Here in the States, we are on the Countdown to the Thanksgiving holiday and it's our family's tradition to put up the Christmas Tree and decorations the weekend after the holiday.  My husband is already grouching about hanging outside lights...but I digress...I have a cute Christmas card for you featuring the Jingle Friends Stamp Set from Penny Black, No. 30-739.

I've colored the images using Spectrum Noir Illustrator Alcohol Markers, the patterned paper is from the "My Favorite Christmas" 6x6 paper pad by Echo Park. I've die cut the focal panel using a nesting stitched rectangle die from Catherine Pooler.

Since it's a Christmas card, I've brought out the Crystal Stickles and applied to the white fur on Santa's hat and Pom Pom, as well as Rudolph's nose.  The sentiment is from the same set and I've accented with silver gems from Kat Scrappiness.

My Christmas card creating is now in full swing, I just need to coax the Grinch out of my dear husband so I'll have twinkling lights around the house this year!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

A Bright and Beautiful Autumn

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Monday!  I hope your weekend was splendid and you found time for some crafty goodness.  I had lots of time in my craft room this weekend and I have a quick share for you today.  Using the Waffle Flower Layered Sunflowers Stamp set, I've created a bright and cheerful Autumn card.  Yes, I'm still working on Autumn cards but Christmas is next!

This is a stamp layering set, which I've had in my stash, and thought it needed to see the light of day.  The floral images are quite large, as you can see it takes up a lot of real estate on the front of this A2 sized card.

I've used Catherine Pooler inks to stamp the layers.  The patterned paper is from my stash, a leftover snippet from a Carta Bella pad I believe, and the sentiment is from an Altenew set.  To finish everything off, I've popped the focal panel on craft foam for dimension, then added orange twine and bronze sequins.

That's all I have for today.  I hope your day is fantastic, as well as your week ahead.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Classic Design Challenge Nov/Dec 2024

Hi Friends, I'm back with my second post for this Friday, as it's a new challenge month at The Classic Design Challenge Blog.  Our generous sponsor this month is Mirtillamente and I've used one of the holiday icons from the Svario About Christmas No. 1 digital set.  This set includes 6 Christmas icons that are cute and easy to color.  I've chosen the Penguin 1 for my Christmas design.

Isn't this little fella adorable?  I love Penguins and especially in Holiday cards, which I've chosen to create here.  I've colored this little guy with alcohol markers and fussy cut him, then popped him on foam pads for dimension.

The patterned papers are from the "Winter Time" 6x6 paper pad by Carta Bella, the blue tones give it that Frosty feel.  I used a cut apart as a panel for him to land on, I liked the small tree on the bottom left.  The Joy die cut and shadow are from Paper Roses Studio.  I cut the word from blue glitter card, and the polka dot ribbon is from my stash.  Lastly, silver gems from Kat Scrappiness were added for additional interest.

Please stop by the challenge and join in the fun!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Beautiful Blossoms Challenge Nov/Dec 2024

Happy Fri-YAY friends!  It's time for a new challenge month at The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge Blog.  We have a pretty Optional Inspiration Mood Board for you.  The mood boards are Always Optional, the only requirement is your design must be FLORAL FOCUSED.

I was inspired by the colors in this mood board and tried to match the Autumn colors in my design.  Using the Painted Flowers Stamp Set from Altenew, I've created a somewhat CAS styled card.

I've stamped the images randomly on a Tim Holtz watercolor card panel and colored them using Gansai Tambi watercolor paints.  The sentiment is from a Gina K. Designs Stamp Set.

To complete the design, I've added copper gems from Kat Scrappiness to highlight the sentiment.  The team and I hope you'll pop in and join us at the challenge, so see you there!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Pumpkin Blooms by Penny Black

Happy Saturday Crafturday Friends!  Are you planning on crafting something today?  Me, yes and I have a quick share today featuring the new Pumpkin Blooms Die set from Penny Black.

I've die cut the pieces from the die set using Tim Holtz watercolor card and painted the pieces using Gansai Tambi watercolor paints.  To give the pieces some depth and shading, I've inked using Ranger Distress inks in coordinating colors.

In my continued effort to use as much from my stash as possible, I took a snippet of patterned paper and a cut apart tag from the "Welcome Fall" 6x6 paper pad and coordinating ephemera pack to decorate the front.  I've also embossed the white panel using the "Texture" embossing folder from Penny Black, and placed bronze gems in the blossom centers.  The card base is "Cajun Craze" from Stampin' Up.

I hope you find time for a but of crafty fun today, until next time, Happy Crafting!
