Christmas Delivery with Letraset Aquamarkers!

I finally found my watercolor paper! I had "miss-placed" it in my room and while moving stuff around the other day suddenly there it was! So I pulled out my Aquamarkers for the first time in a while and played just to play. Man I still need a lot of practice... watercoloring is hard!

I decided to use Stampavie's Christmas Delivery from the Laurence Collection. Is this an adorable image or what? Love it! Now as I said I still need lots of practice with the watercolor markers, but this one wasn't too bad. It actually looks better in person, really it does, The gold items have a bit of sparkle to them and then I added dimensional glaze to all the lights, christmas ornaments and of course the windshield. Really looks neat. I think how much water to use is my issue... practice need more practices. :0 )

Then I went through my scraps and found some cute Christmas papers. I for the life of me cannot come up with the brand of papers. And couldn't find a name anywhere! But they are cute papers, and the shades of colors seemed to match the image pretty well. I layered them up and sewed them together. Used some strips of adhesive pearls and lace for the band. And that makes this one ok to submit this one to the Stampavie and More Challenge! Bonus!

The sentiment is cut out of a piece of the pattern paper, and then attached to an oval chipboard piece and stickled.

Hope you like my Christmas Delivery! Have you tried the new Aquamarkers? They are too awesome! And even more awesome is that now Stampavie is going to be carrying them, so tell the store that carries your Stampavie Stamps to stock up on Letraset too from Stampavie!! You can see the Letraset Products HERE on the Stampavie website. YEA!

Have a great day - HUGS!

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Ribbons - Rhinestones - Flowers and a BIG Letraset OH MY!

Hello and Happy Tuesday!! I am so excited about something in today's post.. so read on through and see at the end :0) But first - Today's Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge!

The theme for today is a bit of a list to check off - You need Ribbons - Rhinestones (or Pearls) and Flowers to complete this weeks challenge. All fun stuff for us right?
I totally had a blast with this one! First I went with the the new Stampavie Tina Wenke image "Mailing Letters" - love this one! And I had lots of fun with the bold Letraset Aqua-Markers! I matted with red card stock then went to my Tilda papers for the pattern papers. I hoard these papers as they are really hard to come by here in the US. Sewed down the layers, and then went for the required items on the list. I wove ribbon through a piece of lace, then layered some gorgeous mulberry red roses and Martha Stewart frond leaf punches. My sentiment is cut out with a oval Nestie, then a Spellbinders fancy tag. This is where I put my rhinestones.
Love the Aqua-Markers bold colors - you can make them as light and as bold as you like. That is one of the fabulous things I love about them.

Now before I go on and on about the markers - I do want to make sure you remember to pop over to A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge when done here and see all the DT cards - then play with us for an awesome prize!

Just Magnolias and Hanglars - A Sketch and a new product I am in LOVE with!

Happy Friday!!! I finally am feeling like I am back to my normal routine, somewhat. Lots of work going on here with all the new Stampavie Stamps arriving and going out - but life around me is back to normal. I am also getting back to some coloring and card making! That alone makes my life feel great!

Today is Just Magnolia and Hanglar Challenge, and today is a FABULOUS sketch. I really enjoyed working with this one and can see me using it again.. and again.
I had a lot of fun with the sketch and wanted to use some bright papers to help me warm up from all the cold around me! brrr.... Looking through some of my 6x6 paper pads I found the Pink Paislee 365 degrees, and realized I didn't know when I had gotten it or how long ago... just too sad, so I knew I had to use it for this one as it has lots of layers and the fun colors work so well together. Following the sketch I chose the papers and sewed the different layers - Then I had some fun with my "new product".... OH MY... I am totally in love with these!!!

Now the US gals here are gonna have to understand, these are really new for us here, and you are gonna have to do some searching for them at first... BUT I KNOW they are gonna hit the market with a loud BAM and really be VERY popular!
Ok, now at CHA the wonderful people at Letraset have blessed me with some of these markers after the show, maybe it was because I was drooling and whining on them? :0) And let me tell you about these markers... They are so fun to work with, and SUPER easy to use! My Copics have some serious competition.. Also because I got to play with Heidi's ProMarkers at the show... and you know I really like that fine tip... good thing those will mix with my current Copics.. cuz I know I will have to have those too in the future!

I love the look of watercoloring - just never been too great at it - but with these markers, just a bit of light coloring and then a water pen, and ta-da! And they come in so many pretty colors!

You can see I have been coloring up like crazy! You will see these on future cards :0) Right now I am just having way to much fun coloring! LOL

Now pop on over to the Just Magnolia & Hanglar Challenge and see all the wonderful cards with this weeks sketch!  I just love how different one sketch can look!!

HUGS see you tomorrow for Animal Crackers!
