Animal Crackers - Joy

Howdy -

Starting off today's Animal Cracker post with a some Joy... Juliet she always brings Joy to everyone she meets. And I know my BFF gets joy when she opens up my blog and see's Juliet's beautiful face. She adores Juliet.

One of the standards she lives in with all the miniature girls. Towering over them, but watching over them as they are her BFF's.

Showing off another love... stinky.. but a love. And look at how stunningly handsome he has become.

The black has really come in as he has grown up and he just is so regal looking. If goats can be regal looking?  He is.

Then there was a scream out and banging on the fence... oh Louise... stop torturing Alvin!

Goats can be loud when they come into season. Louise... she is a talker on a normal day. When she is in season EVERYONE knows it. Here Alvin was not happy about that fence between them. Soon Alvin Soon!

Louise's twin sister Thelma was quietly and calmly looking for a little attention.

She gave us fabulous babies her first time and I am sure next year she will do the same. Alvin will get to have both the twins Thelma and Louise next year...

OH my look at these old ladies... Standing there I do believe that Darlene is half asleep. And Patti..

Well she had an itch... and the edge of that fence was doing a great job at getting a really good scratch! These two old girls are a true Joy to my heart. I hope and pray we still have years with them both. Darlene is 28 now and Patti is not too far behind her. Retired and here to live out their lives with love.

Macie too is one of the older ladies... on this photo she was trying really hard to get my full attention and get loving... Loving on Macie is a true Joy as well.. when she is wanting it on her time.

After snapping her photo I put my camera in my pocket and loved all over her. Enjoying every minute of our time just the two of us... no one pushing and shoving just me and Macie. Sweet Sweet Macie.

Hope you got Joy and lots of Smiles this week. We all hope that you have a wonderful and blessed weekend!

High Hopes Stamps - Mildred

Howdy -

Is there anything better than Fall and a warm pie just out of the oven! "Mildred" makes wonderful pies!

I love love Mildred! and her Pies! I colored with Copics (colors below) and then found papers from Making Memories... mmm cherry pie! Love the little cherries in the paper. I matted with green card stock and found a green polka dotted ribbon for a border. For the sentiment I used "Lovin' from my oven!" So sweet!

Animal Crackers - Early Morning Enjoyment

Howdy -

I love early mornings out with my kids... before they get breakfast. Once they have breakfast all bets are off for getting any decent photos.

They have full attention on me and if I am going to be feeding them or not! LOL

Miss Ellie Mae is always a sweetheart. And most all the time she greets you with a loud scream as you are walking out to see them.

She is so beautiful and again sweet! All though not too happy its just me and my camera.

Irene... Love this calm gentle girl. I named her after my Grandma. She was born almost on her birthday years back. We have tried to breed her twice, and nothing yet. Maybe 2021 will be her year.

And yes ... we are lumpy. She is big boned and carries lots of water weight.. Ha!

Goats were being very noisy. Ok so they are usually always noisy, unless alfalfa has just been passed out. These two girls are a couple of the youngest girls.

Sweet Pea is actually a few years old now. Penelope almost 2 I think. I look forward to breeding them both this coming year. We keep talking about narrowing down our goat herd. But well... we love babies! And then fall in love with each one and I don't see us getting any smaller!

I literally bumped into Ted on the way back to the house.

He was trying to explain to me that he is suppose to be the first fed, and that for some reason his hay is not out for him. Have you noticed that the main subject for my children is food... They are my kids after all. I loved all over the big guy. Gave him his ear rubs that he loves and explained that Dad was coming out and he would not be forgotten at all. The ear rubs helped calm him for a minute, but then this was him walking right behind me asking for breakfast... one track mind!

Thought I would show off another collectible that focuses on my love for our animals. This is a stoneware rooster I have in my kitchen. He stands about 16" to 18" inches tall.

Handmade by Clint Alderman and fired in a wood burning kiln he is just stunning. I also collect antique and modern face jugs made the same way but that is another story. This Rooster is just stunning and heavy! I love him sitting up on my shelf with all my antique blue granite ware surrounding him. Just makes me happy!

Hope that today's post made you happy and brought a smile to your face. That is the point of God's furry and feathered creatures... happiness!

Have a blessed weekend -

High Hopes Stamps - Milton's Fresh Pine

Howdy -

This week for High Hopes Stamps I pulled out a fun winter image. Milton's Fresh Pine - I think he is getting ready to decorate for Christmas!

I colored with my Copics (colors below) and found some papers from Paper Studio to match. Now I went with a woodsy papers... not quite traditional Christmas. But I thought Milton was good with these colors. The layers are sewn down and then since Milton loves singing while cutting down his Christmas tree I found the High Hopes Sentiment "O Christmas Tree" a nice match.

Copic colors used -

Having a hard time believing Christmas is so close, but need to start getting prepared! Like Milton!

Animal Crackers - Strike a pose.. .

Howdy

Went out to feed breakfast to Moxie the other morning... she was still in bed.. as usual. She likes to sleep in, I think she roams more than I would approve of at night...   She stretched and then ran out to do her morning stretches and rubs. Ha!

I called out to her and told her it wasn't a flattering pose. As soon as she saw I had my camera up she sat down and posed for me. She loves to pose.

I came around the house and saw that Alvin was a being bad. It seems he has thought things through and shoved his deck towards to fence panel, so he can now reach the higher branches in the tree. I found him on the deck front legs balanced on the top of the fence banging his head on the branches to knock as many leaves as he can down to much on.  Oh Alvin.. bad boy! Smart... but bad!

Then Gracie ran over to the fence and was snorting and banging to make sure I saw him.. "MOM LOOK AT WHAT ALVIN IS DOING!! HE IS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE UP THERE MOM!!!"

Yes Miss Tattle Tail Gracie... I see him, and Dad and I will go in and move his deck back to where it is suppose to be so he can't do that. She was so upset... Mainly cuz she would have liked to be doing that herself!

Lucy Goose was just calmly laying there, not fazed at all with all the banging and snorting, she is always so calm and laid back.

How did my first goat baby become my old lady in the pen. She is so so sweet.

Then in the distance I saw Spartacus ... this guy loves to graze in the rocks. I guess that those new green sprouts are yummy. But man hard work to get!

He seems to have broke off one of his horns... I hate that. But those horns get big and old and with the head butting that they do - well things happen I suppose. Sorry big guy!

Thought I would share another item that makes me smile around the house. Now I know this guy is a little sad. But well... he still makes me smile.

One of Hubby's "treasures" you could say. He came home from an estate sale with this guy. He looked at me and said I know he is missing a couple of legs, but he still needed a home and didn't want to see him get thrown away... he's a donkey! LOL So true - So he leans in our back yard, and I love him. Hubby says he can fix him one day, but honestly I think he is sweet the way that he is. We all have issues right?

I hope you got a smile again this week. I had a few giggles out taking these photos this week. All my children have such fun personalities. We are so blessed!

High Hopes Stamps - Turkey Getaway

Howdy -

This week for High Hopes Stamps I had some fun with another Turkey! And this guy cracks me up! Watch out!! It's Turkey Getaway!

Seriously funny right? LOL He just makes me smile. I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then did a little shading with pencils. Now I went to cut him out smaller and I decided he just needed some space! Room to take off! So I left more of the white card stock and drew in some "wind" to show just how fast he was moving. Ha! That didn't leave me too much room for pattern paper, and I had a piece of scrap paper from a couple of weeks ago. (don't judge I don't clean off my desk too often) Its from Graphic 45 and I love that the checks sort of feel like a checkered race flag... this is a fast Turkey you know. I then added red and brown card stock to match up with this Turkey.

Love the fun sentiment from High Hopes Stamps "Poultry in Motion"  Fits with the image right?

Animal Crackers - Bad Boy Bad Boy

Howdy

Well we had an afternoon of excitement here... oh my. Black Jack the old man, broke down a fence panel and got into the Momma Pen. Yep... he was after the Mommas... Old but still a Stud! I had to work fast and get all the Moms and Children into the backyard until "Dad" got home to fix the fence panel and get Black Jack back into where he is suppose to be. It wasn't easy but everyone made it safely. Lacey seemed to be who Black Jack had his attentions on - so the others I ended up getting in pretty fast. But then getting between Lacey and Black Jack to get her in wasn't as easy but Lacey moved fast and we got it done.

Here Jolene and Josie are telling Black Jack they are happy on the other side of the fence.

Now Big Al... he was pretty shook up by the whole experience. I think he got between his Mom Lacey and Black Jack. And he was being pretty skittish for a bit and keeping a close eye on Black Jack to make sure he was staying on the other side of the fence.

No worries for Big Al... he loosened up and ate lots of grass, and then came and climbed in my lap for so lovin!

Hanna too was keeping a watch... but also taking advantage of weeds around the BBQ pit.

But it didn't take long for her to decide that the backyard, that they are never allowed in, was too much fun to start checking out... Is this a fancy feed bowl??

Uh no Hanna... LOL She was really into inspecting EVERYTHING in the backyard. She even made her way up the steps and onto the back porch! Oh Hanna... HA!

For some reason Bella liked the grass in the walkway... all the grass in the backyard and she was working so hard to eat here..! LOL Hey help Dad clean the walkway -  thats good.. just stay away from Dad's roses and potted plants! I had to stay out there with them until Dad got home just to make sure.

Now outside the backyard.. I had three large donkeys stomping their feet and not happy.  "What's up here??? We are never allowed back there and get run out anytime we get the gate open!!"

Yes we had some jealous donkeys here! They know there is some great grass and yummy plants in the backyard! I tried to explain it was an emergency. But they really didn't care! But Dad got home soon, fixed the fence and walked Black Jack back to his pen. And then all the Moms and their children back to their pen. All though they will not be there for long. Hubby has been putting off letting Bella, Hanna, Jolene and Josie into the large ladies pasture. We all love them being up close to the house to see and love on. But it is time to release them in with the big girls. I say that now... but I am sure I will tear up that my babies are growing up too fast.

Hope you got a smile this week. And have a very blessed weekend -

High Hopes Stamps - Tom's Plea

Howdy -

It's officially Fall and time to create those fun Fall cards! From High Hopes Stamps is a humorous little guy. This is Tom's Plea - Love his plea... LOL

Sorry Tom ... I love Turkey too much on Thanksgiving. I colored with my Copics and shaded with pencils. I went with a bright and colorful Tom with pattern papers from BoBunny on black card stock. I cut Tom out with a circle nestie. A ribbon around the middle as a border. For a sentiment I let Tom do the talking with the High Hopes Stamps "Gobble Gobble Gobble" - but for some fun I stamped out the sentiment and then punched out each Gobble with a ticket punch that I colored the edges in black and added dots of Nuvo black on corners. I had a bow on that ribbon at first then thought Tom wasn't the bow type and wanted the Gobble Tickets to pop more, so I took it off.  Happy now.

Love all the choices at High Hopes Stamps. You will have no problem filling a cart with lots of images !

Thanks so much and have a blessed day -

Animal Crackers - Peaceful

Howdy -

This week I went out early one morning and enjoyed a peaceful view.

We were so dry and brown for so long, and just a little bit of rain and things start greening up. And green makes us all happy. The lady donkey's were out grazing enjoying the new growth. And even with me calling out to them they were just too much into their morning grazing to even notice me. Well almost all of them.

Sweet Juliet will usually take time for attention and ear scratches. Big and Beautiful she is such a love. We had a nice long chat and scratches.

Found Lizzie laying in her breakfast watching the donkeys in the morning sun.

I tried to explain to her it is not lady like to chew with her mouth open, but she just wasn't listening to me at all... its a goat thing I suppose.

On the way back into the house I saw way off a very rare thing!!

Now I see Momma Cat daily, she is calm and slow paced and not as skittish as her two now grown children. I can't tell you if this is Fraidy or Scaredy Cat ... as I couldn't really see a head behind Momma. But there is a body and that is much more than ever seen in daylight! I snapped the photo and then bam.. like a bolt of lightening Kitty was gone! But I feel as if I have seen some rare animal in the wild!

End up with a peaceful end of day sight - Well peaceful for me Hubby had been working loading and was sweaty from loading 132 bales of hay... well at this point he had loaded 128 bales...

This was the last 4 bales in the field to load, and the sun was going down. It is a peaceful sight though right? Of course I had been driving the truck with the air conditioning on so I could enjoy it a bit more.

Hope you all have some peaceful moments and can hug on a furry or feathered friend! Have a blessed weekend!
