Globe earth assumptions not justified
Just like doing measurements down to the micrometer wouldn’t be justified for baking a cake. It doesn’t mean that a micrometer measurement wouldn’t be more accurate
Instead of saying X is assumed like its a bad thing
say you regect that premise
no one in this server can agree on anything
!mute @THE MIME
@positivity wrong
if two or more people agree on something in this server, then you're wrong. if i just i agree with one more person in this server on anything, then it blows your statement out of the water.
it was implied that positivity was talking about how the different oppositions in this server keep fighting.
but it's not technically accurate
it was common sense by what they were meaning.
i'm someone (a globe earther) in this server and there are things that people say (flat earthers) that i can agree with
who were fighting, just a few individuals or the majority of the people in this server?
it's not common if it's just a minority while the majority are not fighting
if only 5 people out of 500 can't come to an agreement, then only those 5 can't come to an agreement, not 'no one on this server'.
it's like if only 5 or so nations are at war with each other and you say 'no nation in this world can make peace'
it's not really common sense
the earth is flat, with no edges, and spherical.
How is the Earth flat
?
Why do u care
Because
I'd like to know peoples argument on how the Earth is supposedly flat
Why isnt it
I don't quite understand, are you asking why it is not flat?
Ya
I dont see how gravity fits into a flat earth model
It doesn’t
That question does not make sense to me. A question like, "how is the Earth not flat?" can be proven but asking why it's not doesn't make sense to me
It doesn’t exist
.
Then how do you explain that things accelerate downwards at 9.8 m/s^2
How does gravity not exist?
They just fall at that speed
9.8 m/s^2 isnt a speed
But then why do they fall?
You get the point
Because they are denser than the medium surrounding it
No. Things fall at different speeds
Are they increasing in density as they fall?
