Hello
I have a few questions if there are any flat earthers here
I know
We can see the moon because the sun shines light on it. When the earth is inbetween the moon and sun (like this: ๐ ๐ โ๏ธ) then the light from the sun isnโt hitting the moon, thus we cannot see the moon
Thatโs not true either
Light refracts
It doesnโt travel in a straight line
Wait what?
How does that make it impossible to see the moon and sun at the same time?
What...?
There are two types of eclipses
Solar and lunar
Citation needed then
No
No, im a physicist
Im more curious about how gravity works within a flat earth model
Like, itโs impossible to not have gravity
Or some force that makes things accelerate at 9.8 m/s2
Math is easy
And that isnโt what the brackets and parentheses mean @mineyful
Brackets mean that that value is included in the domain, parentheses means that thereโs a hole or asymptote there
I dont see how gravity fits into a flat earth model
Then how do you explain that things accelerate downwards at 9.8 m/s^2
9.8 m/s^2 isnt a speed
No. Things fall at different speeds
Are they increasing in density as they fall?
Why do they go faster as they fall?
What force is acting on it
In my model, yes ik what force causes things to increase in speed
Itโs a scientific theory.
A scientific theory is not the same things as a โlaymanโsโ theory
What..?
Thatโs not how that works
Water isnโt kept โupsidedownโ
Up is always away from the center of the earth
Okay?
They arenโt upsidedown
There is such a thing as aviation
^
No..?
Because โupโ and โdownโ are relative
Up is always away from the center of the earth. Down is always towards the center of the earth
Because gravity is pulling them towards the center of the earth
Relative to the current orientation of the camera, yes
No
What...?
Gravity pulls you towards the center of the earth
Therefore, you can stand on opposite sides of the earth but still feel like youโre โuprightโ
Yes. They knew a lot less back then
Our intuition is often flawed
If psychology has taught us anything, itโs that our intuitions are flawed
And thatโs not the only evidence
I still want to know how things accelerate with a flat earth model
There is no flaw with my system
Propose a perceived flaw and Iโll address it
Ever been on a plane?
Or a car?
When you get up to speed, do you feel yourself moving? Or do you feel still?
You feel yourself moving in a car when youโre at a constant speed?
I dont think youโve ever been in a car
Next time you get on a car, go at a constant speed, and see if you can feel a change
What we feel is the acceleration.
Because we have inertia
We can measure it
Literally, get a meter stick, a stop watch, some paper and a ball
Drop a ball from varying heights and measure how long it take to fall
You can verify this for yourself
We can also measure that
You just need a telescope and a basic understanding of trigonometry
We can find side lengths of a triage with at least one distance
Triangle*
Of course they change
We donโt travel in a perfect circle
We can use parallaxes to find the distance
You can test the effectiveness of parallaxes yourself, you just need a meter stick
Vaccines are medically valid
And good
Nah, youโre harming those who are unable to get vaccines
I still want to hear an answer for gravity in a flat earth model
Thatโs not an explanation
Well, itโs not an explanation you can support with evidence
And that explanation could just as easily apply to a globe earth
What cancers and toxins are they injecting in our body?
Thermisoral is just a preservative. Its formula is nonlethal
It doesnโt matter that mercury is part of the formula
Chemical formula changes chemical properties
Na is a highly reactive element, cl2 is a highly deadly gas. But when you combine the two you get table salt
Can you send the actual study instead of a random picture
You understand that we had autism before then, right?
Yeah **diagnosed**
Because we didnโt have a term for it
Methyl mercury doesnโt have the same chemical properties as mercury
You understand that, right?
That compounds donโt have the same chemical properties as their elemental form?
Send the study
Idc about out of context pictures
Im not sure, usually i read the studies and its peer reviews
Isnt the CDC a governmental organization?
Aka, not paid by pharma companies
