!agree
Glorious.
an cerbral palsy
100 odd amendments to the no deal bill
the fuck even are they
brexit or the bill?
So no deal goes ahead?
jesus that's some next level shit
fucking hilarious
"And the government side has unleashed hordes of amendments, to change every possible aspect of the motion and suggest all kinds of measures that should be debated instead (my favourite is the Bat Habitat (regulation) Bill). "
Literally sounds like some Monty Python shit
but would he get a GE after the bill goes through?
ah yes
Are they just saying that though?
where you can tick multiple boxes
It does for some stuff, not sure what though
I think I saw it at the local elections
coalition?
Now The Lords is trying to filibuster or whatever
@The Electric Lizard good to hear
They don't want an election because it's being used as a mechanism for no deal
I think she means he doesn't have a plan on how to manage no-deal
If the anti-no deal but is stalled until prorogue will there be a snap election?
bill*
interesting stuff
banter
Independants?
where's CUK?
thank fuck
exactly
cancel Antifa
AckTuALLy
Just read that the Lords would pass the bill for Friday - looks like that option is out of the window
when does prorogation begin?
The fuck... So now Boris wants to rush to bill through, and delay prorogation - the guy loves his 4D chess
interesting
even less chance of delivering brexit with corbyn
people still want brexit
Or if we get a GE after the bill goes through
Also... He's trying to deliver a direct referendum, the fuck is that not democratic
irrelevant
I wanted to lmao
Whether or not the public wanted is irrelevant because of our parliament
We did, based on a mandate to leave
Parliament lying and flipflopping is not the desire of the people
Because of parliament
killing everyone could also do the trick
the fuck did i just read
star motherfucking gate
Someone on FB said Boris could fill up the House of Lords with a load of Brexiteer lords to sway the result
Is that possible?
oh really?
Didn't see the news on it
Ah yes, found it
guess not then
Surely whether we've left on the 31st would influence voting intention
Under the bill - introduced by Labour MP Hilary Benn - Boris Johnson might have to request a Brexit extension on 19 October, pushing the deadline back to 31 January 2020.
But there are two scenarios in which he would not have to do this:
MPs approve a Brexit deal in another meaningful vote (remember them?)
MPs vote in favour of leaving the EU without a deal
I can't see either of those things happening
So extension it is
I'm aware but I can't see them refusing
Does the Queen ever do that?
what did she last do it for?
Guess we're in remarkable times, if she's gunna do it again, now's the time
Does it only take one EU nation to block the extension?
the fuck
Can the UK VETO it?
Imagine if the UK vetoed it successfully
Democracy bitch
true
Benn's Bill or some shit
they're based though
lol
I guess the Queen not giving it ascent would count
amazing
^Chance of Brexit looking slimmer and slimmer
So Lab and Lib dem won't ally?
After an extension?
Anyone read the actual bill? Is there are chance of a technicality to avoid an extention?
Homeworld > all other strategy games
Technically yes
At least that's what the radio ads say
Until an extention is approved its the 31st
There's a new date planned, Dec I think, but it means nothing till approval
The fucking memes if he does
Fuck me senseless if they do
It's not significant nor is it remotely surprising
you're looking at some god-tier autistic edge
imagine measuring that in cm
Your mum should be appropriated by the strongest
Manchester should be the new capital
Is parliament voting on it? If so it'll be a fucking remainer
But we'll most likely get an extention right?
Nobody:
If Socialism was a Beer
Finally something we can all agree on
