stephanie congon barnes.
How sweet is the handmade lion created by Stephanie Congdon Barnes? Her new collection entitled "in like a lion, out like a lamb" will be available in her shop on March 5th at 11 am PST. Mark that date down if you would like to purchase one of her beautiful creations because they are sure to sell out fast!

three things.
Here are just a few things I am swooning over while watching this week's episode of Project Runway: Beautiful owl pillows designed by Kathleen Lolly (Available at Kopilot for $25), Ceramic memo board (how very useful and eco-friendly!) from See Jane Work ($11.50), and a sweet lunch bag from GRDN ($49).

the shiny squirrel.
I have been meaning to post about The Shiny Squirrel for some time now, but I just haven't gotten around to it, until now! They carry so many beautiful handmade gifts for the holiday season by fabulous artists like Alyson Fox, Ashley Goldberg and Caroline Hwang, just to name a few. It is such a lovely place to seek out art from independent designers.

mykonos shop.
I've said it before and I'll say it again- I love plush food characters, and these ones from Mykonos are no exception! Handmade in Hong Kong, each sweet little character is one-of-a-kind and quite reasonably priced (ranging from $7-18).

pukashell creative designs.
I'm always such a sucker for dessert-inspired creations, especially little handmade cakes. These ones by Pukashell Creative Designs are created from high quality fibers mixed with vintage and recycled yarns. They are all too sweet and adorable.

love forever : part two.
This is the same handmade food by Kayte of Love Forever that I previously posted about, only this time she added a handmade plate, bowl, and vintage style mug. I think it makes it all come together perfectly.

my paper crane.
I really can't believe it has taken me this long to update about one of my favorite independent artists/crafters, the fantastic Heidi Kenney. Most of you have probably seen her work through the internet or featured in magazines (Print, Urbanite, Craft, Adorn, etc.). She's definitely a "Jane of all trades", managing to spin her own yarn, make hundreds of adorable plushies, collage, bake amazing food, and do embroidery art, all while being an amazing mother of two. She's extremely inspiring and I just adore her.
Check out:
-her blog
-her flickr photos
-a fabulous interview with her
