Katzelkraft - Charme Automnal

Hi everyone, 

It's  Katzelkraft day!

I needed an autumnal card and Katzelkraft had just the thing! The beautiful pumpkin stamps designed by Isa were perfect for my needs. 

To color the pumpkin, I simply pressed a Spiced Marmalade ink pad (Distress ink) onto a piece of acetate. Sprayed water on it and used it to color the area for the pumpkin, just letting the color run on the card. Once dry, I stamped the pumpkin and colored the leaves and grapes with alcohol ink markers. 

I stenciled a leaf pattern with Mowed Lawn (Distress Oxide) and stamped dots along the edge. Covered the pumpkin and splattered purple acrylic paint on the card.

Stamped the text with white on a black strip of cardstock and added it to the bottom.

I die-cut one of the real leaves and stamped the other before cutting it out with scissors.

I did this with freshly picked leaves, as they tend to be brittle when dry. I attached them with foam tape and normal double-sided tape. 

Actually, I needed not one, but twelve cards, as our little craft group organizes a card swap two or three times a year!  - The last one for this year took place last weekend! The theme was fruits and real leaves.

Gosh, how fast time flies!!! 

It's time again for a quick reminder about our current Dream Factory Challenge.

OZ the great and powerful

Wizard, witches, fantasy, circus

One of the gel prints I made recently inspired me to make this tag. 

I saw in it a ghost (far right) to which I drew eyes and a mouth. 

Just behind the witch's head you can see a hand (maybe the ghost's hand) and there are ghostly swaths all over the background. 

I stamped two bats, a cat, a spider web and a spider. The tree and ground are die cuts. 

The pumpkins and the grave crosses are stamped and cut out. 

I was thinking about embossing the word "Wicked" in green, but decided to go with black. I think green would have been better, what do you think? ...Maybe I will give it a try.

After everything was die cut, stamped, colored and dry, I glued the parts on the tag. - I had previously dabbed the edges of the tag with green ink.   

Finally, I backed the tag with a slightly larger black tag. Punched a hole at the top and attached a cord.

Addition:

The idea of stamping "Wicked" in green has haunted me all night! LOL - So I gave it a try this morning.

Since I couldn't do it any other way, I stamped the word in green, cut it out and pasted it over the embossed one. 

I don't know what you guys think, but I like it much better that way! :)

Let it Snow - shaker card

Hi everyone!

Let's go for a new 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge. 

This week we want you to do a 

Shaker Card

I die-cut circles from silver and turquoise glitter cardstock and glued them together. 

I die cut a piece of acetat in the same size and stuck it behind the circles. 

I then glued two layers of foam tape along the edge of the circle and filled the shaker with micro beads, tiny stars and a bit of glitter.

I stamped the little scene and colored it with alcohol ink pens. Die cut it the same size as the circle and adhered it to the shaker, closing it. I affixed a piece of patterned paper to a blank card and stamped the sentiment. Colored a few fir trees with a silver glitter pen. Glued the shaker on.

Katzelkraft - It'ssss your Birthday!

Hi everyone, 

Today is Katzelkraft day and I'm back with a fun birthday card.

For today's card I used the Snake and Foliage stamps from the new release.

The grass is from the Frog and Friends set, which is also new.  

First I stamped the snakes and masked them. Then the birthday hat, which I masked in turn to stamp the banana leaves. I masked them too so I could create the background with the fireworks.  

I sponged a green, blue and red color spot each and stamped the fireworks in the same colors. I then sponged the ground in green and the rest of the background in light blue. Stamped the grass behind the snakes and removed the masks. I colored snakes, birthday hat and banana leaves with alcohol ink markers. 

Finally, I stamped some leaves on the right, more grass on the ground and last but not least added the birthday sentiment (Stampin'Up). 

Ah, I almost forgot the most important detail....  

The gift hanging from the tail of the snake was added last :))

A die cut frame, patterned paper and the mug from the stamp set "Gift of Giving" from the Stampin'Up Christmas Mini Catalog 2023. I colored mug with alcohol ink markers, cut it out and fixed it with foam tape. Hope you like it.

Besinnliches Weihnachtsfest

Hi everyone, 

I'm back with another Katzelkraft card. Today in an elegant style.

I embossed a sheet of light blue cardstock and splattered it with black ink. 

I heat embossed the tiles in gold and cut them out, leaving a narrow black border all around. 

I adhered the tiles to the blue sheet and stamped the sentiment (Stampin'Up). 

I covered a blank card with gold holographic foil. 

I cut the blue sheet a little smaller than the card blank and glued it on.

Today starts a new challenge at the Dream Factory

The movie of this month is 

OZ the great and powerful

For this ATC I was inspired by the colors of the movie poster - I found a piece of gel print in just the right color!

The wizard is from the stamp set "The Papos - Sherlock Holmes" from Katzelkraft. I colored him half watercolor and half with alcohol ink markers. Cut it out and adhered it to the ATC.

The sentiment, the wizard's hat and the tiny birds in the background are also from Katzelkraft.
