First we had dinner and then we all got paddles to bid on the layouts, projects and other items that have been on display in the store this year. They also have a raffle and silent auction on items.
Well let's just say my "Provo Craft" paddle (they saved this one for me) was flying in the air way more than I planned. After all it was for charity and I will admit " I love the thrill of winning".
When I got home I had a total of 27 layouts, an awesome goody bag and a free special class on the 16th with Lance from Rusty Pickle (worth about $80) for $280.
Plus I feel like an even bigger winner as my friend and her daughter (who I met at classes) won 6 free crops with 19 friends and they are including me. Awesome isn't it?!
Anyway a little tired but it was fun and I can't wait till next year.
So on with my layout for Lasting Memories this week. I chose to use the title of one of my favorite songs when I was a youth. "How Sweet it is to be loved by you" and then I messed up the title and put "How sweet 2 be loved by you".
Oh well either way it is perfect for a holiday layout like this. The paper is one of the Recollections stacks at Michaels this year which I fell in love with. Gingerbread cutouts are from the Gingerbread Carts and the title is cut from Jubilee which was a freebie on Black Friday when you bought two carts. Used ribbon, gems, MS gingerbread punch and some kitchen and gingerbread brads I got at Scrapbook Expo.
Hope you like the layout and that you will join us this week for the Lasting Memories challenge. You have until Saturday to create and it can be a one page layout. Come an check out what the other designers have done with this challenge and then see what you can make.
