It's Time to Dance on the Table

I hope everyone in the US had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday.  I know I enjoyed the wonderful meal and time with my family.  Today I have a card I made for my friend's mother who just turned 91 years old!  I used the Pinspired challenge for my inspiration.
I wanted to make the card special for this special milestone birthday - so I used silver, gold, black and white colors.
The scallop die is Lil' Inker and the tag is Papertrey Ink.  My stamp is from the wonderful retro set from Waltzingmouse Putting on the Ritz - and I hope that's just what Evelyn will do in celebrating her birthday!  I think she'll get a giggle out of this!

Stamps:  Putting on the Ritz - Waltzingmouse
Paper:  White, True Black - PTI, Brushed Silver, Brushed Gold - SU,
Ink:  Versamark
Accessories:  white embossing powder, Tag Sale #8 die - PTI, fan fare scalloped border - Lil' Inker Designs, heat gun, silver pearl - Michaels, foam dots.

Waltzingmouse September Release DT Blog Hop

Welcome to the September Waltzingmouse Release Day Design Team Blog Hop!  Today is the day you can finally purchase any and all of the wonderful new sets we have been previewing for the past 3 days!  Have you got your list handy??!!

The blog hop starts with Claire and she will have a complete list in case you loose your way!

If you arrived here from Sandie's blog - you are in the right place!

For my card today -  I used the sets Putting on the Ritz and Art Deco Backgrounders.  For my colors, I was inspired by this weeks Pinspired Challenge
Here is my card -  I used beeded pins for the headdress on the flapper girl - punching a hole in the headband - cutting off the sharp ends of the pins, sticking them through the hole and taping the ends on the back.

As always with our Blog Hops - there will be a prize of a WMS stamp set of choice from a random drawing from comments left on all of the Design Team blogs. You  have until September 21  6:59 am EST to leave comments. The winner will be posted on The Waltzingmouse Makes Blog  on Monday, September 23rd.

Each of Us is God's Special Work of Art

I made this card for a new challenge I just found when visiting the blog of my stamping friend Annette -  it's called Pinspired - and they choose an image from Pinterest for the challenge inspiration.  Here is this week's inspiration:
And here's my inspired card:
I used my brandy new hibiscus die that I got from My Favorite Things along with my brandy new stitched mat rectangle from Lil' Inker Designs.

I'm also entering this into Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes.

My next card was made for the Cas-ual Fridays Challenge - to use Kraft and text.
I used stamps from the Ocean Bound set by Waltzingmouse.  I stamped the frame, sentiments and anchor on a piece of kraft paper, cut it out and layered it over the kraft card base with foam dots.  It's always good to have a masculine card on hand!
