Ghastly Ghouls - A Pterodactyl Halloween

Welcome to the first day of the

Gastly Ghouls Blog Hop!

I'm happy to kick things off with
A Pterodactyl Halloween

Carol at Just Let Me Quilt presented bloggers with the challenge to make something spooky, kooky, or anything wickedly Halloween.  Of course, I was in.  This is right up my alley.

Thank you, Carol, for inviting me to join this super fun blog hop!

I'm keeping up with my tradition with this one.

I have 1 very special girl (my daughter) that loves Halloween
and her daughter loves it too!

So I started a tradition to make a little doll to look like
my Granddaughter in her Halloween costume every year.
She has the last 3 years of Halloween Friends and loves them.

When I texted my daughter to ask what my Granddaughter was dressing up as this year for Halloween,
this is the picture I received:

Well, that was a surprise, but I put on my Grammie panties and got to work. lol

I designed it by tweaking an original doll design.

Lizzy put on her costume for a little Boo at the Zoo action.
Perfect timing for the hop!
So I gave her the new Halloween Friend.
I think she likes it!

I have yet to make a bag to keep all of the Halloween Friends.
That has to be a priority for next year, but for now, she plays with them year-round.

Want some more Ghastly Ghouls stitching inspiration?

Here is the complete schedule:

It's so fun to get inspiration from Blog Hops.
This is my favorite time of year for stitching.

I think Lizzy likes it too!

Black Cat Trick or Treat Bag

There is a certain little girl who will be sporting a black cat costume for Halloween.
She has the "meow" down pat for sure.
The only thing missing is her trick or treat bag.

This is when Grammie steps up and finds a great pattern for a super sweet
Black Cat Trick or Treat bag.

It's the cutest pattern by Kim at Crafting Cheerfully
and
HeatnBond Soft Stretch™ LITE  pairs perfectly with the little felt bag.

Moreover, it's the perfect size for a toddler and will be a cute little purse even after Halloween.

I'm on the Thermoweb blog today with all the details.

Halloween projects are too much fun.

I have more Halloween to come this month...

Identity Thief Halloween Costume - Now That's Scary

I have to admit, some of my favorite Halloween costumes are the funny pun ones.
 The ones like
“cereal killer” with bloody cereal boxes
or
the “Spice Girls” with the spice labels.
They are simple and fun.
Want to make a quick Halloween costume that is funny and scary at the same time?
HeatnBond Inkjet Transfer Sheets come to the rescue.

Identity Thief Halloween Costume

All my favorite characters from "The Walking Dead"
and
 my model (Hubby)
has stolen their identities
with name tags.

Find the full tutorial and printable over on the Thermoweb Blog.

You will find a lot of great costume ideas over there too!

Just hope you never come across this guy....
