Canada's Wonderland is an amusement park located in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. It opened in May 1981 and was Canada's first major amusement park.^[1] From mid-1992^[2] to 2006, the park was owned by Paramount Parks and was known as "Paramount Canada's Wonderland". The park was sold Cedar Fair in June 2006,^[3] and the park proceeded to revert to its original name for the 2007 season. In 2019, some of the opening day rides were restored back to their original British names. Canada's Wonderland also holds the record for third most roller coasters in a park with a total of eighteen roller coasters. It is one coaster ahead of Cedar Point, is one behind Energylandia, and is two behind the number one record-holder Six Flags Magic Mountain. With the opening of AlpenFury in 2025, it will be tied for second with Energylandia.
