Almost Thanksgiving!

Where has the month gone? It flew by! Wasn't yesterday Halloween?

It was a busy month and I am looking forward to having this week off from school.

We have had a virus that was not covid the last couple of weeks.  Runny nose, sinus congestion, cough, but no fever.  It seems like we have had one thing after another since September when we all had covid. Not sure if we ever got over that round.  So yes, it has been a longggg month.  Me and my son in law got sick last weekend and then my grandson got it on Wednesday.  Everyone else was starting to recover. Seems like a lingering virus and when you feel better you get sick again.  We have all had it now, so hopefully we are all on the mind.

Working at school does not help I'm sure. Then the grandkids come over and share their germs too. It makes it super hard to stay healthy.

In other news....

We had almost 8 inches of rain this week! The pond is full and the creek is running.

My son turned 40!

We had a family celebration! I can't believe I have a 40 year old son! Those years flew by as well!

I made his favorite vanilla cake with vanilla frosting.

I also made a new Thanksgiving garland to hang on my mirror.
I cut strips of fabric like the previous garlands and tied them on a piece of jute.
I also stamped the tags to hang on the garland.

I made the leaves and acorns out of paper clay and painted them. I drilled holes so I could hang them on the garland.

I guess that is about all that has been going on this month!
I am sure the next month will fly by just as fast. I am not even remotely ready for Christmas.  I guess I had better get in gear!

Until next time then!

I hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving!

Some Sourdough Jack O Lanterns

I whipped up some sourdough on Sunday to bake today.

I don't have time during the week to make the bread.

I am pleased how this years Jack O Lantern Sourdough turned out!

I'm sharing these loaves with family!

I hope your Halloween Week is going well!

Happy Haunting!

Almost Hallloween

 October full moon.

This was the next morning on my walk at 6am. It was so bright outside.
So pretty, yet kinda creepy too!

Halloweenish sunrise

This month flew by. I am still feeling like it just started.
Next week will be November!

The Grandkids at their school trunk or treat.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Halloween Tree

This is the finished tree.
The lights are battery powered drop in lights that can be turned off and on. From Amazon. They fit perfectly in the pumpkins.
Don't you love the shadows it casts on the ceiling? Very spooky right?
I had the Princess over yesterday and I got to show her the finished tree. She thought it was pretty cool.  That made all the work to create it worthwhile. 😁
I am happy with how it turned out too.
I hope you have a wonderful week!

Happy October

Here we are already into the second week of October!

Charlotte is a month old!

I found her an adorable Halloween outfit.

Of course I had to get it!

Can't wait to see her wearing it!

Not much new here to report. Trying to get though the heat.

Supposedly cooling off this weekend!

I wish we had more cool fall days before it was winter.

That rarely happens here.

I hope you are enjoying your fall!

Sourdough Success

I baked bread this morning for my daughter to take to her.

She is doing well.

I got to hold the baby!

She is growing so fast!

The Princess and the Queen (-:

Today I was pleasantly surprised to finally get an ear on my bread!

So it was a great day!
Fun to finally have it work out!
It always tastes good, but I did want to get an ear!
Hope you have a great week!

Baylee VS Meat Bee

Last night Baylee got bit on the nose by a meat bee in the ground.

He was very sad. We sat up with him till the wee hours of the morning making sure he was o.k.

He was fine.

Just looked terrible. The swelling was mostly gone by morning.

Poor guy.

Hopefully no more meat bees.
