The present contribution focuses on the discursive perspective, which finds its roots in the several "turns" that animated the previous century. Its theoretical background is based on the awareness that "doing things with words" is possible 10 (Austin 1962) as well as on the importance attributed to sense-making processes. The latter are emphasized by the consideration of the dilemmatic nature of human thought Q2 (Billig 1991), emerging in the eternal opposition between logoi and antilogoi, and by the acknowledgement of narrative as the best way for the personal construction of meaning . Such perspective allows considering texts as "efforts after meaning," as 15 diatext , because their enunciative quality derive from the dialogical correspondence with a specific "context" (Slama-Cazacu 2007). The cognitive engagement and the affective involvement of the interlocutors during an interaction demand a constant monitoring activity on the need for attunement between intentions and situational bonds. The discursive construction of Chinese and Italian cultural identity "Eles deviam trabalhar como nós". A construção discursiva da identidade cultural chinesa e italiana Abstract: The Chinese migration is one of the most important migratory flows in the international scene, both for the number of people involved, and for the large and varied number of countries chosen as a destination, including Italy. The present study aimed to study the intercultural dynamics that could arise from the encounter between native (Italian) and immigrants (Chinese), being the Chinese, one of the largest community in Italy. In this vein, the main aim of the study was that of analyzing the relationship between the Chinese and the Italian culture in the south of Italy. Participants were five Italians and five Chinese workers, managers and/or managers of a sample of small and medium-sized enterprises in Bari and in its surroundings. A semi-structured interview was administered as to investigate the interpretative repertoires that both cultures adopt to make sense of work as well as to interpret their reciprocal relationship in the labor market, especially in terms of economical competition in times of crisis. Diatextual Analysis was used as to interpret the data collected. Results showed a difficult integration between the two cultures, especially as for their cohabitation in the labor market.

Participants were workers aged 45 years or more, with a medium-high educational level, employed in a public contextthe University of Bari. Four focus groups were conducted with a total of 16 participants that is 4 participants for each focus, from all major work areas of the University of Bari. Subsequently, the information collected were subjected to computer aided content analysis. Results were discussed both with reference to human resource management practices and to further investigations of theoretical constructs such as employability and meaning of working of older workers.

Following a discursive approach to organizations and a critical and rhetorical methodological perspective, the study has taken into account how HR managers defined diversity, how their diversity discourses reflected existing managerial practices and underlying power relations, and how they reaffirmed or challenged those managerial practices and power relations. Specifically, diatextual analysis has been used to read the discursive data, as to catch the strict link between discourse, identity and context of talk. Results showed that most of the SMEs involved in the study were quite unfamiliar with diversity management and showed a rather theoretical approach to the topic. The discursive data collected highlighted an evident gap between the positive construction of workforce heterogeneity and the passive attitude showed in terms of HR management practices.

However, according to a narrative approach to organizations, workplaces -as well as organizations in general -could be conceived of as discursive constructions, that is, as social spaces where a thick network of narrations and discourses are informally produced and "packaged," thus shaping and featuring the most authentic dimension of organizational identity. Therefore, in order to capture the actual ethos of an organizational context, researchers should be ready to disentangle the network of collective narrations and discourses which is shaped through and by the shared and/or contested/ negotiated practices of accounting. In line with such premises, the paper analyzes a corpus of empirical evidence, collected within the organizational context through focus group discussions, in an attempt to show how discursive and narrative cues actually work as yeast for the self, even within a critical moment of transition, such as organizational change, which challenged cohesion and stability of both organizational and individual identities.

Actually, discursive psychology has showed that social representation have a narrative nature since they organize the cognitive schemata that people use to give sense to the world (Lazlo, 1997). In such a frame a crucial role is played by mass media, which do contribute to construct and convey the figurative nucleus of each representation . By adopting this discursive perspective, the present contribution aims at investigating the social debate about assisted fecundation which in Italy has accompanied the campaign for the abrogation of Law 40. The corpus of data is made up of a sample of 46 media-texts collected within the weeks before the referendum. The data have been investigated by adopting diatextual analysis (Mininni, 1992;.

The aim is to investigate the features of short message system (SMS) communication in a sample of late adolescents. Across 2 analyses on the same corpus of 3,890 SMS messages, evidence has been presented that a composite index of contents could be related to an overall index of dialogical positions. The results have been supported by diatextual analysis , so as to better grasp the relations among interlocutors, text, and context; thus recalling the dialectic process of sense construction realized through communicative events. Consistent with the predictions derived from previous research, the study suggests that new media actually emphasize the development of self positions.

This potential is mostly evident when the contended object of discourse is history itself, which is a peculiar area of the cultural mind. Hence, the discursive management of the collective tends to generate interpretations which in turn might mould personal and social identities. Sharing the spirit of the ''innovations'' brought about by cultural psychology (Valsiner, 2009), the present paper is intended to highlight how institutional and public discourses communicate different degrees of responsibility for the history of their own national group and, at the same time, how individuals construe historical identities with different degrees of guilt towards past events. Through a qualitative approach-the ''diatextual analysis'' -this paper proposes to investigate the rhetorical strategies adopted on occasion of some important commemorative events by the institutional spokesmen, as well as by the public opinion, to elaborate both positive and negative histories of their ingroup.
