Anna and Josh

I used our granddaughter's wedding colors - navy, burgundy and gold.  Congratulations!   Verse by Eureka.

Conratulations Ethan and Rachel

This is a non traditional card for our grandson and his fiancee;s wedding. It is meant to mimic the non traditional invitation.   I hope they like it!  The tree is from a long time favorite Stampin' Up set, and the swirls are by Die Namics, Oh, yes, I finally figured out another way to use the Majestic Element ovals by Spellbiinders.  I cut the oval from the patterned paper, and inserted the cut oval back in to the space - the dark green background peeks through enough to show off the intricate design.

QKR Stampede DT card Anything Goes challenge #306

Once again the weekly challenge at QKR Stampede is Anything Goes.  Join us here by 6 p.m. Friday, with up to 3 entries, and you have an opportunity to win digi images from the shop.  There is a separate category for QKR/Eureka images, and for non-QKR. Stop by to see what great cards the other team members have created!
This week I used the image I Corinthians 13:13 - I am not sure if I will use it for a wedding or anniversary card.  I had a bit of Anna Griffin paper to use - very elegant looking, I think!
Other supplies -Spellbinder circle dies;  Fiskar border punch, shiny leaves and sprigs from a floral stem; flowers from my stash.
Sadly, this is my last DT card for QKR Stampede.  I have enjoyed a long stint  first with Eureka and then with QKR Stampede.  A special thanks to Karal and the rest of the team for their support and encouragement.  On a personal note, I am having to step aside because of a deterioration of my eye sight.  I have been diagnosed with macular degeneration for several years.  Until just recently it was the lesser dry type.  Now I have the "wet" version in one eye.  Over a period of a couple of months I have noticed a marked change.  There is a considerable amount of distortion - wavy lines, missing bits, blurriness.  I can no longer do a decent job of coloring images, and it is a challenge to read and comment.  I will be taking a series of shots, which may slow the progress of the damage to my eye.  If anyone has any personal experiences with this condition I would welcome your comments.  Needless to say, this is a very discouraging diagnosis.  I am relying on prayer and the skill of my doctors to preserve as much vision as possible.

QKR Stampede #269, ATG-option, Touch of Gold

This is my Design Team card for the weekly Anything Goes challenge at QKR Stampede - with the option of a touch of gold.  You have until 3 pm Thursday, Nov. 16, and you may enter up to 3 times.  There is a separate category for anyone who uses a QKR Stampede or Eureka image.  I will add an anniversary or wedding sentiment later.  You may see a few embossed hearts across the top of the black layer.  I used metallic gold cs for the Majestic Elements (Spellbinders) circle, and a bit of the leftover "negative" of the circle for the strip dividing the cream and black bg layers.  A few half pearls complete the elegant motif.

Sparkle and bling - QKR DT card Challenge #231

This week the challenge at QKR Stampede is the usual Anything Goes, with a twist - add some bling or sparkle. You may enter up to 3 times by Thursday at 6pm EST.  For me, sparkle means a wedding card!  I used this cute Wedding Cake image from QKR Stampede, and added a sentiment from Eureka.  The theme for a wedding must be love!  To reinforce that, I used my Darice heart folder for the background embossing.  I have had this roll of silver bling for some time.  The dies are Spellbinders Majestic Elements.  Shimmery silver cs for the image and card base add more sparkle.

Eureka Stamps DT card for challenge #198 - "Here comes the Bride:

This is a timely challenge as many of you will have weddings to attend in the next few weeks.  I chose this verse and Blessings sentiment - both are digital versions - for the challenge this week at Eureka Stamps . You may enter up to three times before 3pm EDT on Sunday, June 26.  There are 2 digis for the winner - 3 if you win using an image by Eureka.
Using white embossed layers with a contrasting color has become a favorite style of mine.  I used Swiss Dots and Textile by Cuttlebug.  The circle die is from Spellbinders.  I added ribbon and a bow using a shiny sheer ribbon from the Dollar Tree.

Pastel wedding

A friend asked me to make a card similar to one I had done earlier - especially the pale peach and cream.  I used Nestabilities Majestic Element ovals.  I inadvertently did not cut through one of the dies - and I like the way the two (or is it three?) outer ovals remained attached.  I added Swiss dots embossing, a Cheery Lynn butterfly, a bit of lace and sheer ribbon, and drops.  The clear drops are available in a number of sets at Classy cards 'n Such.

Wedding - JJ and Annie

First of all, my apologies for the terrible image - I need to work on my blogging skills - and also figure out how to arrange my photos.  It worked yesterday and not today!
Front of card:  shimmery cs; Cuttlebug border die; Sizzix embossing folder; sheer ribbon, SU Wedding Elegance sentiment; half pearls
Inside: (This is a tip.) I try to incorporate something from the invitation on my cards.  This time I used an actual part of the card - they had an overlay of vellum with initials (in light purple) and a swirl accented with a gem.  I took the entire overlay, trimmed on three sides, and used the folded piece on the inside of the card.  I printed the verse on a piece of the same shimmery cs, adhered inside the folded vellum.  I adhered this to the inside of the card with double stick tape.

Wedding in white

Here I am again with a card that is difficult to see - tried several ways!  (The black border is background only and not part of the card.)  I used a wedding stamp, an embossed layer that was a gift, some shiny white on white metallic, ribbon and a stamp I have had for a LONG time.  The layer under the cake is a sort of brocade white on white.

The greatest of these is love...

I used a variety of papers - tried to make the words fit the sketch and did not really acienve this!  The verse is computer generated.  I like using this for wedding cards.

Hanna and Spencer's wedding card

This has been a very special card for me to make - unfortunately, the image is not as good as I would have liked.  Our oldest grandson is getting married - their invitations featured pink and brown, a cord "tie", and their initials so I incorporated those elements. IRL the bg is a pale pink - it looks more creamy here.  The main DP is a botanical print in pink and brown; the lace is pink. and the DP strips are also brown and pink.  I used the Swiss Dot folder on the bg.  Die cuts include spellbinder hearts, Cuttlebug letters, and Cheery Lynn butterfly and Blessings.  The stamped sentiment is Great Impressions (pretty old, I think).  I used Choc chip ink and heat embossed for a bit of sheen.

Monochromatic Wedding

h
I think you will need your imagination when viewing this card.  IRL the bg mat and dp bg color is a deep teal.  The letters LOVE also show up much better - the chalk sponged on the edge of that layer is subtle.  To create the word, I die cut letters (CB Olivia).  The center of the o and e are separate - I used a tiny bit of double stick tape to hold them in place when I sponged on the chalk.  I also sponged the flower a bit, and distressed the dark edges.  A bit of lace adds to the vintage feel.

Love is...

I saw this sketch at Mojo Monday and knew what I wanted to do, but I am not sure the result is all that I had hoped.  I did incorporate a lot of "my" usual style - layering, embossing, die cuts.  The birds are from Cheery Lynn (Tiny Things with Wings) and the flourish (which I cut in sections) from Joanna Sheen.  They are cut from shimmery cs.  The bg is vellum , and the Love panel from Paper Studio.  The verse is computer generated.

Sarah's Wedding

We have a wedding in the family in a few days.  Traditionally, I try to incorporate aspects of the invitation as I make the card.  This was more challenging, as Sarah is a bit untraditional!  The lace, brown ribbon, initials, and textured look of the bg as well as the colors are similar to the invitation.  I am not sure how it looks on your screen - mine does not really show the dark cream look of the bk.  I used the LifeStyle weaving EF for that.  Ironically, the G is for both last names!  The sentiment is Great Impressions.    The image came from a Wish RAK member so I do not know the source.  I selected it because she was such an accomplished horsewoman in her teens.  The card is 5x7.

Blue and White Wedding

I usually like to coordinate a wedding card with the colors from the invitation.  However, I needed to add one to my stash, and the blue and white seem sufficiently generic!  I used a very new Swirls EF (LifeStyle Crafts), and some very old DP from my stash - along with Petaloo flowers I have had for some time.  The sentiment is from Verve.  I completed the look with a rhinestone, glitter and sheer ribbon - first try at shrinking the ribbon with a heat gun!  I am not sure why - I have seldom used glitter, and all of a sudden I have several glittery examples.

Embossed wedding

Yeah!  I was able to use the new embossing set I recently acquired.  It is Wedding Set 2 by Sizzix.  It has the A2 bg folder that I used (although I hid the second heart) and 4 smaller ones - this says Together Forever.  I used Labels 4 and a butterfly by Spellbinders.
