Christmas '18 recycled

I used both the sentiment and image from an old Christmas card combined with flocked snowflake DP and a starry embossing folder.  The ribbon is glittery and the DP has a shiny bg.  I was going to add glitter but since it is being sent to Hearts for the Troops I skipped the glitter - that is usually a
no-no for the military.  The circle die is from Spellbinders.

HBirthday to a sailor

This is another card I will donate to a local group called Hearts for the Troops.  The organizer, a Navy mom, sends birthday cards to her son's shipmates.  I wish I had time to make more!  This is a Dearie Doll colored digi.  The vertical stripes are Washi tape, the horizontal ones are ribbon, and I used Spellbinder circle dies.

Another card for a sailor.

Sweek Sketch Wednesday2

Here is another card to donate - to be sent to sailors who are deployed - see more details in my previous post.  I hope that some one will enjoy this cardboard boat image by Dearie Dolls - a pre-colored freebie.  I have so many supplies I am trying to use - the corner items are stickers.  I added twine and some shiny gems. Spellbinder dies were used to cut the ovals.

For a sailor

I have been giving some cards to a local group called Hearts for the Troops.  A navy Mom most recently "adopted" an entire navy ship - sending care packages and cards. One of the sailors should enjoy this.  I hope to have a few more cards for her to send for birthdays as well as some to include in the care boxes.  For this card I used a pre-colored Dearie Doll digi, embossing by Cuttlebug, washi tape, a bit of pattern paper, and die cuts by Spellbinder.

Operation Quiet comfort

This is a card I made to add to a group I am sending to Operation Quiet Comfort.  They are requesting patriotic type blank thank you cards (with no glitter).  It is a great cause and I would encourage you to check it out and participate.
This is also my Design Team card for this week's challenge at QKR Stampede.  The theme is Thanksgiving /Thank you.  You may enter up to 3 times by 6pm EST Nov. 24.  Prizes are digi stamps from their shop.
The image and sentiment are both QKR stampede.  The brads and papers are all from my stash.  I used the gold foil seal from a can of International Coffee to back the images.

Honoring a wounded hero

It is so important to support our military.  I saw this on SplitCoastStampers :http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/card-requests-f202/hero-can-use-good-dose-sc-love-t553344.html  regarding a young soldier who lost all four limbs as a result of a bombing incident.  I hope some of you will check it out and join me in sending support.
The eagle and sentiment came from my stash of patriotic images.  I have lots of stars, etc., but none in the right deep red and blue, so I used one of my first Cuttlebug purchases, the asterisk die. I colored with Twinkling H2O for a bit of shine.  The stripes are Paper Pizazz, and the twine from Pizzazz Aplenty.
