Happy Chinese New Year!

Gong Xi Fa Cai!  (Late, sorry but I had these in draft and didn't realize they didn't post!)

I've been trying to do more themed nails and did these Chinese New Year nails over the weekend.  It's Year of the Ox!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of three coats JReine Goldschlanger with accent nails of two coats Laquistry Chinese New Year.

Lacquistry Chinese New Year.  I remember when this came out, how hard it was to get a bottle but I finally snagged one at a restock.  And then never used it until now.  Why do we do that?  As I knowwww I'm not the only one.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

After making stamper decals using image from Delaney Asiatique 001, applied them to the index and ring finger using Painted Polish Blanc Slate and Midnight Mischief.  Shadow stamped pinky using Maniology m044 using same polishes.  Stamped middle finger using MoYou London Zodiac 14 (numbers), Maniology M083 (words on middle) and MoYou London Zodiac 14 (thumb).

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I did my hand slightly different; stamped Lesly LS-51 using PP Blanc Slate on a layered base of ees Knees Every 27 Years on a base of Sally Hansen CSM Red My Lips.  This was appropriate at the time as I did these nails on February 13th.

Digit-al Dozen Does Traditions; Day 5

I'm really late for Day 5 of Digit-al Dozen week; this mani is also doing double duty as the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas Christmas prompt.

Today's nails represent a tradition in my home that I wish wasn't a tradition; the wrapping of Christmas gifts on Christmas Eve!  It doesn't matter how early we do our shopping, or how many or few gifts we have to wrap, they all get wrapped on Christmas Eve.  The hubs actually does the wrapping because he's a better wrapper then I am; I wrap gifts that look like a four year old did it!  I'm the helper; I do all the tags, putting them under the tree and do the stocking filling in between.  Some years, especially when the kids were little and wouldn't go to sleep, the wrapping of the gifts didn't get finished until 3 or 4 am.....when you are up bright and early with excited little ones, that isn't much sleep!  I think last year was the first year we were done relatively early; only because all the kids are older now; we only have a few gifts to wrap as the majority of their gifts are gift cards and cash.

Did an assortment of polish bases; Lacquistry Amazeballz You're So Extra Fine! on thumb and pinky, two coats of Girly Bits Little Red Toque on index, three coats Noodles Nail Polish Snow Coat Snow Boots Snow Problems, and three coats piCture pOlish LakoDom on ring; all have no top coat.  All these different finishes probably go against a lot of peoples mani rules but I love it!

Added a coat of Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC before stamping.

Stamped using Chez Noel 003 (thumb), MoYou Festive Collection-06 (index), Sugar Bubbles Special 02 (middle), Infinity 35 (ring) and Chez Divers 009 (pinky).  Stamping polishes are all Girly Bits Stamping Polishes**; White Wedding, Fire Engine Red, Golden Ticket and Emerald.

Decorated the tree by adding some garland using Girly Bits Fire Engine Red, also dotted ornaments using Golden Ticket.  Dotted thumb image using Girly Bits Emerald and White Wedding Stamping Polishes. Dotted index finger with Lacquistry Amazeballz, as well as added ornaments on the tree using it and wrapped the presents under the tree with it too!

Added a coat of Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC to finish.

I took this pix the next day in overcast skies.  There is so much glare with my lighting set up and the glitter and Amazeballz, I thought the stamping might be shown better in more natural light.  I love how the Amazeballz and the red stamping polish look together!  This will be another mani sometime soon!

Here's the other ladies Day 5 traditions manis!

Also, the other Christmas nails for 40 Great Nail Art Ideas!

Yet Another Halloween Mani

Are you tired of Halloween mani's yet?  Hopefully not because here's yet another one I did not too long ago!

Started with a base of two coats of Revlon Alluring Amber and FingerPaints Black Expressionism.  Alluring Amber seems to be my go to orange polish the last couple years for Halloween mani's...I seem to think I picked it up at a bargain bin someplace but need to find a backup before I run out!

For some interest, added a coat of Lacquistry Pickin' Punkins' in the Patch to accent.

Another pix to see the Lacquistry at a different angle.

The mandatory bottle shot!

I really wasn't too keen on stamping the mani at this point because I was kinda digging my nails without any stamping...but then I remembered I had done some trial stamping of some images that I've never used before, so I decided to add them for fun. Used black Konad special polish using plates W234 (skull on ring, witch on middle, frankenstein on pinky), W215 (boo on index), OB26 (house on thumb and flying witch), T23 (bat above boo on index as well as small bats on thumb, middle and index, spider on ring and pinky and pumpkins placed on middle and thumb).  The green polish is Sally Hansen Insta-dri Lickety-Split Lime.

Added green dots in eyes of frankenstein, the witch and the pumpkins using Lickety-Split Lime and touched up the base of the house on thumb using a small brush with the Konad polish.  The witch was too freaky with green eyes so dotted black on top of the green so I wasn't all freaked out!

Topped with SV to finish.

Another pix to see the pumpkin at the base of the house.  It was suppose to mimic putting a carved pumpkin outside your door like on Halloween night...and then most of the pix, I cut it out of the frame!

Have a fantastic weekend...and thanks for looking!
