Friendly Owl.

My friend Rachel.... was one of the very first people I met here in Arkansas. We actually applied for the same job, and were in the same interview group. Oddly enough we got hired on at the same time. She is oddly enough me. But in a hippy mindset... .free bird if you would like to call it that. She actually introduced me to my soulmate. She set me up on blind date/double date. This was the card I made for her to thank her for introducing us.

I love this Owl I received via Wish Rak. Its from Stamping Bella... and once again, you will see the fish tail!! I love the fish tail banners... I also love the stitching borders. Something I have picked up from my current obession...ANYTHING BY STAROFMAY..... Kristina Werner. :) I love her!

Veterans Day Cards

Every year for Veterans Day I make cards for as many Veterans I personally know... or have made contact with via OWH. This was the card of the year that I had made.

I personally make a lot of patriotic cards in general. As a general rule of thumb... When I make "Thank you" type cards, I make extras that I can use for Operation Write Home as AnyHero letters.

Have you shown your appreciation for someone recently?

TGF: Naughty or Nice

I decided I needed to do some card CASEing here lately. I made this card (above) after seeing a card on I believe of all places.... Pinterest. I know.. shocking... I am a Pinterest Addict... like most people. But making this card helped me pull out some very neglected stamps from The Greeting Farm. This set is currently Retired by the company, but she typically accompanied with the Angel and her matching sentiment. So here is the following card that inspired the card above:

Donut Worry...

... Be Happy.

I made this card for my former co-manager at my job. She has been supportive of everything I do since I first met her... and I could probably say she was the very first friend I have ever met here in Arkansas. She and I are very much alike. Its like a long lost sister...

NOTE: I call her Hot Mandy. (She now teaches hot yoga, and on their class schedule it had her listed as HOT MANDY one day... so I have been calling her that ever since).

So at our job, we are all really good friends, and all come up with random inside jokes... Donuts happens to be one of them. I saw this stamp from House Mouse at Hobby Lobby (Clearance section) and this $1 stamp (Mike's) and knew it had to go together. It was a perfect card for Hot Mandy, and it gave her a good laugh when she got it in the mail... after it had been sitting on my craft desk for a good solid month. (YIKES!!!)

Maid for You strikes again.

I personally love this now retired set from MFT... I have used it I dont know how many times... but it is still one of my absolute favorites. I am super bummed MFT no longer carries the Whos that Girl series (WTG). I loved them!!!!! They are the ones that really got me hooked into this stamp company.

This is one of a few cards I havent made for Operation Write Home... but it was made for a special person. I took this picture, and posted it on instagram.. it was one of my very first cards I ever posted on there. Instagram has been my one of my outlets of creativity lately. It has been instrumental in my crafting process it seems lately!
