Another no go day.

With heavy rain and still dark turned 0800hrs it was match abandoned once again although the winds did't pick up until midday and even then it was nobbut a stiff breeze going by Queensbury standards. A few dog walks over Foxhill just produced 18 Common gull battened down on the football pitch along with 2 Pied Wagtails.
Looking back at this time last year there were good flocks of Siskin and Redpoll at Ogden and Waxwings in Halifax. Another couple of weeks and trans Pennine Pink Footed geese should be passing over, west to east and visa versa.
About the same forecast for tomorrow with showers but the wind dying down slightly.
