Addicted to CAS - Challenge #121

Hi there, blog friends ~ It's time for another challenge at Addicted to CAS! Ellenor is our Hostess, and she has chosen the code word...'Favorite Stamp'! Suffice it to say I have a few faves, so I had to narrow it down and decided on this stamp set:

What I like about this stamp set is that it has several elegant sentiments and the flowers are so pretty! I created the ombre effect with PTI inks (See This Video tutorial by Laurie Willison) and embossed the center of the blooms in gold.

Happy Little Stampers is sponsoring this challenge, and Kylie is offering a $15.00 GC for the winner...surely you have a least one fave in your stash, right? We would love to see your creation in the ATCAS gallery if you're interested in joining us!

Supplies:
Stamps: Papertrey Ink - Graceful Greetings
Ink: PTI - Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal; MFT - Ripe Raspberry; Hero Arts - Bubblegum, Green Hills; Versamark
Misc: WOW Metallic Gold EP; Lucie's Things Jewels

Thanks so much for stopping by,

SSS Flickr Challenge; CAS on Sunday

Hi there blog friends,
I'm back to share a few cards I created for two challenges ~ My first card is for the current SSS Flickr Challenge, and the theme is 'Anything Goes'.

While there's still frost on the ground where I am, I yearn for the warm weather and a day at the beach, hence my inspiration for this card. I used SSS Sailing stamp set and Sailboat die. Some Copic coloring and Liquid Platinum EP, and that was it ~

My second card is for the CAS on Sunday Challenge, and the theme is 'Critters' ~

The inside of the card says 'Hello'. I think Mama Elephant creates the cutest critters, and I couldn't resist these adorable pups on skateboards.  I sponged Hero Arts shadow inks for the road and inked the clouds with distress inks. The pups were colored with Copic markers...and that was it!

Also, I want to thank Darnell once again for her incredible generosity ~ To create my cards, I used my brand new mini-MISTI which I won for her NBUS Challenge #9!

I hope everyone has had a fun weekend and that you have a wonderful week ahead ~ Thanks so much for stopping by ~

Inspired By All The Little Things Challenge #27

Hi there, blog friends ~
I have the distinct honor of being the Guest Designer at the Inspired By All The Little Things Challenge Blog, and I am so excited! My super sweet and incredibly talented blog friend Karren Johnson asked me to be her guest, and here is the inspiration photo:

How about all those fabulous umbrellas! I have a few umbrella stamps and dies to choose from, so my head was spinning with ideas ~
Here is my card:

I combined stamps and dies from a few different sets, and started by using distress inks in the same colors for the umbrellas, and splattered them with water. I kept all of the critters light gray so it wouldn't distract from the colors on the umbrellas and sentiment. I blended Sea Glass ink on the background, and angled the cloud die, then added clear sparkle to the sentiment for fun...here's a close-up:

I hope you'll stop by the Inspired By All The Little Things Blog to see what their fabulous Design Team has created, and to see how I answered some questions posed to me :)
With special thanks to Karren and the Team for inviting me along to be their Guest Designer for this challenge!

Have a great weekend,

Guest Designer - Tag You're It Challenge #56

Hi there ~
As the winner of Challenge #54, I have the honor of being Guest Designer for the current challenge at Tag You're It! Our inspiration tag was created by Taheerah Atchia, and I am loving how she used the dip dyed technique, and how she played with the over-sized sentiment and splatters! Here is Taheerah's tag:

And, my take ~

If you know me at all, then you know how much I love ombre, especially on an over-sized sentiment. I sponged PTI's Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores and Tropical Teal for the sentiment. Laurie Willison has a great video on this technique using her MISTI.

The sweet little blooms are from SSS, and the gold splatters are Hero Arts. A little twine to top it off, and this tag was completed :)

Please be sure to stop over at the Tag You're It Challenge...the team has created some really beautiful tags! Have a great weekend, and thanks so much for stopping by,
