You & Me

Hello everyone!
For this week’s chllenge at The Cutting Edge, Melania Deasy created a really pretty inspiration card, and I decided to play along...Here is Melania's card for the challenge:

And, here is my card:

It’s all about using die cuts for this challenge, so I decided to use my Paper Smooches Ampersand die, and a few heart dies from Lil’ Inkers and Mama Elephant. I love using pastel colors on my cards, but it looks a little washed out on my screen. Anyway, I added glossy accents to a few hearts, some sparkly sequins, and I CASED Amy Kolling’s idea to add dots with a Copic Marker...and that was it!

I would also like to enter this card in this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge which is also for the theme 'Anything Goes'.

Thanks so much for stopping by ~

Addicted to Stamps & More Challenge #106 - Anything Goes

Hi there blog friends ~ This is my 2nd post today...if you're looking for the 'Tag You're It' Challenge post, please go Here

We are back with another fun challenge this week at Addicted to Stamps & More, and our theme is “Anything Goes”! To get things started, I’ve created this card:

I love the adorable pup in this stamp set, so I started by stamping, then coloring him with Copic markers. I used the coordinating die and popped him up on to a stitched circle, then on to a wood grain card base. I gave him a shiny nose with a little bit of Glossy Accents, and that was it!

I hope you will take a peek at the ATSM Blog ~ My teammates have created some amazing cards, which I hope will inspire you to join in the fun!

And, don’t forget, we always have a wonderful sponsor, and for this challenge it’s Eureka Stamps who is offering the winner of this challenge 3 digi stamps!

Be Amazing - Tag You're It Challenge

Hi everyone,
Just a quick post to share a tag I created for the Tag You're It Challenge. Guest Designer this week is the AMAZING Laura Bassen, who created a gorgeous tag to inspire our design...Here is her tag ~

I love how Laura inked her tag, and embossed the background, and how she paired vellum, black and white for her elements. Here is my tag ~

So, I die cut the Pretty Pink Posh tag, and embossed it using the Lattice Background Stamp. Then, I inked it with Hero Arts Shadow Inks, added some Simon Says Stamp Dies, and a sentiment from Altenew; A pearl and some gold wire for the butterfly, and a little twine, and that was it! Thanks so much for stopping by ~

Hi everyone ~
Today is my turn to post on the a2zscrapbooking Blog ~
Summertime is such a fun time of the year! Sunshine, blue skies and longer days to enjoy at the beach are just a few reasons to love it. Adding to the beauty of the season, are butterflies in all colors and sizes, so it’s no surprise that I was inspired to reach for my Hero Arts Butterfly & Flower stamp and Die Set to create my first card.

I stamped the butterfly in Memento ink and used Copic markers to color it in. Then, I embossed the background with Swiss Dots, leaving the center oval un-embossed to stamp the sentiment from the Remember stamp set. Lastly, I cut the white panel down 1/8 inch on each side, added a black border and die cut the small butterflies to match.
--------------------------------------------------------

For my second card, I blended my Hero Arts Shadow inks on the Feathers Stencil in three different colors, arranging the same feather as though it is cascading downward. Just as I did for  the first card, I trimmed the white panel down and added a black border. Finally, I stamped the sentiment in Liquid Platinum and added a few DIY enamel dots. If you would like to know how to create your own enamel dots, please leave me a note in the comments on this post, and I would be happy to get back to you about it.

Don’t forget to stop by the a2z Scrapbooking Store and use Coupon Code: BARB15 for 15% off your order before tax and shipping. There are new products being added daily, including Hero Arts stamps, inks, digital files and stencils, and there are over 70 items on sale for you to choose from!

Wishing You Joy

Hi everyone ~
A quick post tonight to share a fun card I created for this week's CASology Challenge. The Cue Card for this week is 'Run', so I decided to play with my Mama Elephant stamp set, 'So Breezy' to create a CAS card.

To depict the feeling that this boy is running, I stamped him in black, dark gray and light gray, and repeated the same colors for the kite and string...sure hope it doesn't hurt your eyes :-) I added clouds with a template, colored in the word Joy with a red Copic marker to add a pop of color and added a generous dose of Glossy Accents for fun.

So, that's it for me...I hope you are all having a great week! Thanks so much for stopping by ~

Ruff Day?

Hi everyone ~
Every once in a while, we all have a rough day, right? Well what could be sweeter than a card to lift someone's spirits!
I haven’t played in the CASology Challenge in a few weeks, and since this week’s Cue Card is ‘Pet’, I really wanted to play along...Here is my card:

When I saw These 2 Cards by Barb Engler, I just had to buy this stamp set, and luckily, I received it in time for the CASology Challenge. It has the cutest cat and dog images, so I stamped the dog, and colored him with Copics, then die cut him out. Love this fun sentiment too, so I stamped it with Versamark and used Liquid Platinum EP to add a little shimmer to this card...A few silver star sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, some Glossy Accents for his nose, and my card was finished.

So, that’s it for me today...Thanks so much for stopping by ~

Follow Your Dreams

Hello everyone!
I haven’t played in the Muse Card Challenge in a few weeks, so when I saw the card that Therese Calvird provided for this week’s inspiration, I decided to play along...Here is her card:

I was inspired by the CAS design and colors that Therese chose for her card, so my interpretation is quite literal. I used flowers and stems from a few different PTI stamp sets, and chose a sentiment from Clearly Besotted. I added a few gems and some Wink of Stella clear glitter, and I was finished.

And...since the large flowers are die cuts, I would like to submit this card to Virginia's View Challenge.

So, that’s it for me today...Thanks so much for stopping by ~

ATSM #104 - CAS

Hi there blog friends ~ We are back with another fun challenge this week at Addicted to Stamps  and More Challenge Blog, and our theme is “Clean & Simple”! And, to get things started, I’ve created this card:

My inspiration for the design of this card was based on Gayatri Murali’s sketch Here. I wanted to use the Mama Elephant banner from the 'Bloomsies' stamp set, and paired it with those sweet little flowers and leaves from Lawn Fawn. I stamped the banner and sentiment with Delicata Golden Glitz to add a little shimmer to the card, and a few small gems to the centers of a few flowers...and that was it - Clean and simple with lots of white space!

I hope you will take a peek at the ATSM Challenge Blog ~ My teammates have created some amazing CAS cards, which I hope will inspire you to join in the fun!

And, don’t forget, we always have a wonderful sponsor, and for this challenge it’s Eureka Stamps, who is offering the winner of this challenge 3 digi stamps!

Since I used die cuts on my card, I would also like to enter it in Virginia's View Challenge. Thank you so much for stopping by ~

Miss You More Than Just a Little

Hello everyone!
I have a card to share today, and would like to enter it into 2 challenges: Addicted to CAS for the code word 'Sky’, and the Mama Elephant and Me Challenge for the inspiration photo.

Here is my card:

I wanted my scene to appear as if you were looking toward the Manhatten skyline from Hoboken, NJ. So, I masked my PTI Mat Stack die and used the negative portion to ink the sky in 3 different colors, and the lower portion in blue to depict the Hudson River.  Then, I die cut the cityscape in black and added gold stars to the sky (Mama Elephant Confetti) as a nod to the gold in the inspiration photo.

So, that’s it for me today...Thanks so much for stopping by ~

Hooray!

Hello everyone!
I’m back with a quick post...
When I saw Laurel Beard’s Shaker Card for this week’s Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says Stamp, I was inspired to open my new balloon dies, and give it a try. I used ‘hot pink’ for the background, and I also created a matching pink pencil case with my PTI Coin Purse Die (since it’s my sweet granddaughter Desi’s birthday this week and she LOVES pink!).

I used several dies for this project, so I would also like to link it up to Virginia’s View Current Challenge, to use Dies.

So, that’s it for me today...Thanks so much for stopping by ~

Mama Elephant and Me Challenge

Hello everyone!
I’m back with a quick post...I’ve been playing with my new favorite Mama Elephant stamp set, and I created a card for their Current 'Mama Elephant and Me' Challenge. This month, they are using this inspiration photo:

I was inspired by the colors in the photo, so I used my Copics and colored the same little girl at 2 different angles, then straight forward. I also love all the tiny ‘accent’ stamps in this set, so I thought it would be fun to use them for a few of the apertures.

I’m also enjoying my new Pretty Pink Posh Tag, and used it to create the apertures for this card. The stars were cut with foil cardstock and the ME Confetti die. For fun, I made a little orange pom-pom for my gift box, the same as what is shown in the inspiration photo!

So, that’s it for me today...I hope everyone had a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by ~

Exciting News!

Hi Everyone ~
I am so incredibly excited to share my news with everyone...I have been asked to join the Design Team at Addicted to Stamps Challenge Blog ~ Woo-Hoo!!! Over the past year, ATSM has become one of my favorite challenges, so this is really thrilling for me! And..today is the day that Kylie will be announcing the new Design Team on The ATSM Blog ~

We have a wonderful sponsor this week ~ Stamp Art Design by Kathryne, who is offering the winner of this challenge 5 digi stamps of her choice!

And, to celebrate, I inked up my new PTI stamps, and created a card for this weeks’ theme ‘Make Your Mark’:

If you know me at all, then you know how much I love my Copic markers! I colored the flower with a combination that I’ve never used before to create an ombre effect, and since I’ve always loved the font on this set by Waltzingmouse, I thought it would add a touch of elegance to the card. I also used my Femme Frames for a scalloped edge and added a few clear sequins.

I hope you will take a peek at the ATSM Blog to see all the beautiful cards my amazing teammates have created, then take out your favorite coloring tools (pencils, pens, markers) and join in the fun!

Since I used the matching dies for the flower and leaves, I would also like to enter this card in Virginia's View Challenge for the current theme 'Die Cut'!

Thank you so much for stopping by ~
