This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite One or Multi Layer Project (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I must admit that I'm a bit of a convert when it comes to the CAS card styles, and they are very much growing on me, but I do still like the effort that goes into creating an multi-layered embellished card. I think it also shows that it's been hand-crafted and not mass-produced.

More than 1 layer on most of my cards
but I don't tend to have loads of layers very often
normally most of my cards are 1 or 2 layers but this one I wanted to do the outside of the shape technique on the cute image so I have added multi layers for the effect
so I guess I have to choose multi layers...

Brenda

I guess multiple layers are my favorite because I love all the wonderful goodies we have to use to create them with.  Having said that, there's nothing more beautiful than a well designed CAS card in my humble opinion and actually feel they are a bit harder to create.

Elaine

I love multi-layer cards. The layers create so much interest and colour and texture.

Kat

It has to be multi-layer for me as I love combining lots of pretty papers...it's to hard to choose just one!

Lori

I do really enjoy more than one layer on my cards - I feel it's a great way to add dimension and texture to your cards - and use up awesome embellishments, dies etc. FUN!!!

Lorraine

I love adding layers to my projects, in fact, sometimes I don't actually know when to stop, I think that's why I find clean & simple styles so difficult to master. So I would choose layers every time.

Mojca
I love layering, because it gives such depth to the end project. I did this envelope in white and silver layers. It's going to be handed out as a wedding gift.

Sarah

Layers for me, I have a lifetime's worth of paper to use up!!

Squirrel
I went for the one layer option for this, not because I don't like multi-layers but because my style is far more clean and simple.  I might use a couple of layers normally, so even leaving those alone for the single layer was a challenge in itself!

Suzette
**coming soon**

Wilma
I like simple and one layer cards, but sometimes they cost me a lot of energy. For this challenge I go for multi layered cards. I like to work with different design papers and colors and combining them into a peaceful whole.

So now it's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite of our options.
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to win the prize.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

Hugs from the AYLI girls.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite of either a Paper or Non Paper Project.
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing,a nd we're delighted to be welcoming Squirrel to the team.  :0)

My current favourites are paper projects, although I do like adding non-paper items (like ribbon and lace) onto my projects.  I love the variety of papers you can get and that you can paint your own designs on it too.  I've made a bag-in-a-box for this project, and added some lace around the edges. The handles are made from double sided cardstock, and I've added a little tag with a large flower brad.

I love both Paper and No paper crafts but I am choosing Crochet because I can take it anywhere!

Brenda
Cheeky Monkey Kids
I think I have mentioned before that I love many types of crafting.  I love sewing, needle crafts, jewelry making and paper crafts.  I have to say paper crafting wins because I can complete a project much more quickly.  I love all the fun stamps and papers and embellishments that are available.

Elaine
Stanley Dog set

I have chosen a paper project. I love all crafts but at the moment my favouite is cardmaking. I love all the beautiful papers and the many images that are available.

Kat
Party Zara
It has to be paper projects for me as I don't really do any non-paper crafts...not sure where I would find the time!  Plus I LOVE pretty papers!

Lori
Well, this challenge was a difficult one for me, I'll be honest....however...crochet was my very first craft "LOVE" 19+ years ago....so I am gonna have to say that if I had to decide between paper crafting for crochet - I'd pick crochet! :)

Lorraine
Bathtime Bobbi
Although I have tried lots of different crafts including flower pressing, knitting, crochet and painting I always return to Paper Crafting for my crafty fix, I just love creating with paper.

Mojca
Love you tons
Well I love paper projects, especially cards, you can make them so interesting, add a lot of embellishments or make them plain ... there is so many options and that's why I love making cards.

Sarah
Ballerina Isla

I try my hand at all sorts of crafts including knitting, crochet and sewing, however I LOVE paper crafting most of all, in particular patterned papers and stamping...you can do soooo much with paper!!

Squirrel

It wasn't a difficult choice for me, having tried many crafts over the years, some more successful than others, I have always come back to papercraft.  I love that you can create something so colourful and/or dimensional from a flat piece of paper!

Wilma
For me it wasn"t a difficult choice: paper! Although I also like to knit or crochet cards remains my favourite.
