Congratulations Tina & Justus!

Tina & Justus' Halloween themed wedding turned out absolutely fabulous! It was so exciting to be a part of such a unique and fun event! We participated in our first Buddhist ceremony, and it was inspiring and uplifting....not the words one would usually associate with a wedding ceremony. It left me with a feeling of calm, happiness, motivation to better myself as a person, and to concentrate my energy on good instead of using it to worry about the negative. Very inspiring and motivating, and he left the newlyweds with some wonderful words of wisdom.

HOB is an AMAZING venue for wedding ceremonies. The staff there was top notch, and everything was perfectly executed and on-time; from the slide show playing on all of the television screens, to the red and orange stage lighting, to the staff's assistance with every detail....it's truly one of the best ceremony locations I've ever worked with! Huge thanks to the event staff House of Blues for making this wedding ceremony flawless!
After the ceremony, the wedding party took photos all over HOB, then went off to a local cemetery for photos. Their photography, video and photo booth were provided by Digital 504, and I have to brag on them as well! They were professional, efficient, and on top of that they were a blast to work with. It's rare to find all three qualities in one! I can't praise them enough for their work yesterday, and I hope to work with Jay and his staff again soon!

The reception for almost 300 guests consisted of a massive Halloween candy station, pumpkin centerpieces with red rose petals on each table, and a fun photo booth with Halloween hats and accessories for the guests to play in. The head table had gorgeous silver candelabras with taper candles, and a skeleton greeted the guests at the entryway.

I can't wait to see the photos and videos from the photographers....we'll share more details as we get them! Check out our Facebook page for more of our own photos and videos from the day.

Congratulations and best wishes to Tina and Justus! I hope you both have a wonderful time on your fabulous honeymoon to the Galapagos Islands! You were such a fun couple to work with, and it was so exciting to help you in planning this amazing Halloween themed wedding.

Halloween Dessert Table

Hostess With The Mostess is one of my favorite blogs to check out on a regular basis! I love their party ideas! Today I found these awesome photos of a Halloween dessert station there. I'm keeping my eye open for dessert table inspiration because we have a Halloween wedding this year with a dessert/candy table. This one is definitely inspiring!

Congratulations Shelley & Ray

I had the pleasure of being a part of one of the most special weddings I've ever attended this weekend. During a small, intimate ceremony overlooking the Black River, Shelley and Ray exchanged vows in our last outdoor ceremony of the year. Shelley's brother, Rick, officiated the ceremony and it was standing room only as all of their friends and family watched them become husband and wife. This was probably the most emotionally charged ceremony I have ever witnessed, and I myself even got a little teary eyed at the outpouring of love for Shelley and Ray.

The ceremony was followed by a dinner reception at the West Lake Yacht Club, also located right on the Black River. Fligner's catered a wonderful lasagna dinner and friends contributed desserts for the dessert table. We provided the linens and flowers for the event, along with our day-of coordination services.

I feel so blessed to have been a part of such a special day! Shelley and Ray are such a wonderful couple, and we wish them all the love and happiness their hearts can hold! Mazel tov!

Early Halloween Inspiration

I'm a Halloween enthusiast, so I'm starting on my Halloween inspirations early! I was just doing some mulching in my front yard yesterday, thinking about where I can put pumpkins and hay bales and scarecrows...I get so excited when fall gets here!

I always try to have a Halloween party, so I'm sure this year will be the same...and this year I'll be sure to feature some of our new cupcakes! Check out this absolutely adorable Halloween party from Tomkat Studio. See more delicious photos and get the entire printable collection here.

Congratulations Jaime & Adam!

This weekend we had two weddings, and Jaime & Adam were our first couple on Friday evening. They had a beautiful fall-colored ceremony and reception at Spring Lake Party Center in Akron. The weather was absolutely perfect for their sunset lakeside gazebo ceremony! Best wishes and congratulations to Jaime and Adam!

DIY :: Old Fashioned Soda Bar

Old fashioned sodas add a fun and playful element to an event and can even be used as part of your decor! There are so many to reasons to love them: they are in pretty glass bottles, lots of times with original vintage-y logos on the packaging, and they are made with pure sugar cane, delicious!

We love them all set up arranged according to color or you can even just buy the color of flavors that go with your wedding. Instead of keeping them on ice, refrigerate them up until right before and line them up on a table or bar for maximum effect.

The hardest part of having old fashioned sodas is sourcing them. They can be difficult to come by. BevMo in California has a very large selection of specialty sodas (and even ships them online if you can't find something local). Gourmet delicatessens and stores can also have good selections and we've even got lucky before at warehouse stores like Costco.
