Congrats Danielle & Nick!

Congrats to Danielle & Nick! Our first wedding of the season was this week on March 9th. We provided flowers, candles, lighting, chuppah and fabric rentals for Danielle & Nick's ceremony and reception at Landerhaven in Mayfield Heights. I always love Tiffany Blue....

Congrats Marissa & Matt!

The ceremony was at United Methodist Church in Avon, and the church was a packed house for the ceremony! After the ceremony, the bride & groom left made their exit as their guests waved ribbon wands. The wedding party went off for photos at Crocker Park, while we headed to the cocktail hour and reception at Wagner's Country Inn.

The color scheme was yellow and celadon, so the flowers were pops of bright color against the white linens and fabric treatments. The flowers included hydrangeas, roses, spray roses, tulips, daffodils and carnations. The room was aglow with candlelight on every surface and twinkle lights above.

They had a super fun DJ who kept the party going all night, and a surprise from the bride & groom....the DJ cranked out "Shots" as the made their way through the crowd with trays of jello shots.

Gia's Baptism Reception

Over the past months we have had the pleasure of working with a lovely Greek family to design and setup decor for their daughter Gia's baptism reception. We worked with mom Marcy on selecting linens, designing floral centerpieces, and adding some special touches here and there to make the event more personal. I have to say this is one of my favorite event designs so far! We used a color palette of chocolate and various shades of pink, and it was the perfect palette for a party in honor of a special baby girl! Here are a few photos from the event....

Thank you to Marcy and her family for inviting us to attend the event and experience your family's joy on that day. It was very special to be a part of that! I love experiencing the traditions of other cultures, and your reception was truly a unique experience for us to be a part of. I hope to work with you and your family again in the future on other milestone events!

Daily Inspirations :: Green Zebra Print

This is one of the most unique uses of color that I've seen in quite a while, and I LOVE it! The green really pops against the black & white....and to make it more unique, they incorporated different patterns; green zebra, black & white stripes, cameos, flourishes....and it all works so well together! Another few details I liked....the baby's breath arrangement (which, coincidentally, I just blogged about loving recently), the ice sculpture wedding cake, the little comfort food snacks like french fries and Frito Chili Pie...and since it was a New Year's Eve wedding, I love the fact that their favors were dried black eyed peas with a recipe card. (For those who aren't familiar, southern tradition is to eat Black Eyed Peas on New Year's Day).

Daily Inspirations :: Silvery Black & White

Inspiration to Reality: Silvery Black & White

I'm always a fan of black & white, and I love this table setting! The black & white is very clean and modern, and they brought in a touch of a softness with the butterflies, white flowers and candles.

Congratulations Katie & Tyson!

Congratulations to this super sweet and happy couple! Their ceremony was performed right on the lake at the Catawba Island Club in Port Clinton. The weather was beautiful for the lakeside ceremony, and Katie was absolutely gorgeous in her form fitting gown, cathedral length veil and a flower adorning her hair.

The cast of vendors was five star! Catawba Island Club, Z Media, Artistry Video, Blush Weddings, I Do Cakes, Elmore Trolley, OK Rentals, and of course Amy Nixon Events, were just a few of the fabulous vendors on hand for this occasion!

Katie & Tyson had one of the most energetic receptions we've ever seen! Between the string quartet, the DJ, and the band Neon Black, guests were entertained from the moment they arrived until the last dance, and the dance floor stayed full the entire night (no exaggeration!). Huge puffs of green hydrangeas and pink roses were used throughout the decor including the centerpieces, escort card table, favor table and the ceremony archway and aisle. Aqua blue lights lit the tent after dark to create an elegant but fun party vibe!

The favors were handmade S'mores treats individually packaged...and did I mention DELICIOUS? Yum! The other sweet treat of the night was the teal wedding cake from I Do Cakes with four (yes, I said four) different flavors. The sweets weren't the only edible stars of the night, dinner was fabulous as well! Prime Rib, Halibut and Chicken were among the dinner choices, and CIC did a wonderful job with the catering!

All the best to you, Katie & Tyson. You make a truly perfect pair! Have a great time in Hawaii!

Congratulations Carey & Kevin

What a super adorable couple! Carey looked completely glamourous! It was standing room only for the outdoor ceremony! The DJ's played a great mix of music and the dance floor was packed all night. Banks Photography put on an incredible slideshow of their ceremony photos and wedding party photos that they had just taken a few hours before. Amazing work! This wedding actually made me tear up a few times (during the ceremony is when the waterworks started, then the Maid and Matron of Honor's toasts, and finally Carey dancing with her father). It was all so touching!

Carey and Kevin, it was a pleasure to be a part of your beautiful wedding. I hope you have a wonderful trip to the Bahamas, and may you be blessed with a life of happiness together!
