Data were collected from 615 working mothers in some selected banks in Lagos State, Nigeria using validated scales. Ages of the respondents ranged from 20 to 35 years old (Mean = 15.39; SD = 6.74). Results of the moderated hierarchical regression analysis showed that work-family interference (WFI) positively predicted exhuastion (β = .23, p .05) and overall burnout (β = –.18, p .05), depersonalisation (β = –.12, p .05). Implications and limitations of the study were highlighted. Keywords : burnout, work-family conflict, self-efficacy, working mothers, bank

The study also investigated whether perceived social support will predict happiness beyond and above dispositional factors after demographic variables such as age, gender, and religion were controlled for. Two hundred and fifty one (251) prison inmates randomly selected from 3 prisons in three South-western States in Nigeria participated in the study. Data were collected by Oxford happiness questionnaires, Big Five Personality Inventory, Self-report Emotional Intelligence Test, and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support and were analysed using hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Results showed that extraversion, neuroticism, agreeableness, conscientiousness, openness, emotional intelligence, and perceived social support collectively and relatively contributed to prison inmates’ level of happiness. Moreover, social support predicted happiness above and beyond big five personality and emotional intelligence. The results were discussed in line with past findings. Practical implications of the findings were also highlighted.

Two hundred and sixty-three police officers participated in the study. Data analysed using moderated regression statistics indicated that PCB was positively associated with corrupt tendencies. Perceived fairness in organizational procedure, distributive system, interpersonal treatment, and information reduced the extent to which PCB relates with corrupt tendencies among police officers. To reduce the effect of PCB on police corruption, the present findings suggest the need for police authorities and relevant stakeholders to always maintain fairness in their managerial procedures and practices as well as how they treat their employees.

Five hundred and nineteen(tellers = 321, IRO = 198)bank employees (266 males and 253 females) whose ages ranged from 19 to 65 years with a mean of 34.02 years and SD of 9.54, from 11 commercial banks in Lagos, Nigeria participated in the study. Validated scales were used for data collections. The study hypotheses were tested using hierarchical multiple regression, Baron and Kenny's (1986) mediation analysis, and t-independent sample analyses. The results revealed significant joint and independent influence of job demands, job control, psychological climate, and affective commitment on turnover intention of bank employees. Furthermore, affective commitment directly and fully mediated the relationship between psychological climate and intention to quit. The results also revealed that interpersonal relation officers (IRO) showed higher tendency to quit their jobs than tellers. The researchers therefore suggested the need for bank management to modify or redesign the aspect of the job taxing their employees and invest and create positive climate that would improve their employees' well-being.

The study was conducted among undergraduates in Nigeria where evidence of low life satisfaction has been established. Data were collected from 273 (178 males and 95 females) participants purposively selected from a southwest State in Nigeria. Results of the study showed that psychological security, β = .27, p < .05, emotional intelligence, β = .19, p < .01, and self-efficacy, β = .21, p < .01, independently predicted life satisfaction. Furthermore, the result indicated that psychological security, emotional intelligence and selfefficacy jointly predicted life satisfaction, R² = .13, F(3, 270) = 13.63, p < .01. Based on these findings, we suggest that psycho-educational interventions that would increase undergraduates' feelings of psychological security and enhance their emotional intelligence and selfefficacy should be organized.

Moreover, in the few studies that consider tacit knowledge sharing, their focus tends to be on employees in non-profit organisations with little focus on those in profit oriented organisations. This study therefore investigated whether affect-based and cognitive-based trusts will predict willingness to share and use tacit knowledge among employees in team-based organisations in Nigeria. Data were collected from a sample of 487 team-based workers in Lagos, Nigeria. They responded to Affect-based and Cognition-based trusts Scales and Willingness to Share Tacit Knowledge and Use tacit knowledge Questionnaires. Hierarchical multiple regression analyses were used to test the hypotheses generated. The results revealed that team members' willingness to share tacit knowledge was facilitated by affect-based and cognitive-based trusts. However, affect-based and cognitivebased trusts were not strong factors determining employees' willingness to use tacit knowledge in team-based industries. Implications of the study were highlighted.

A cross-sectional survey design was adopted. Using a purposive sampling technique, 241 undergraduates (110 males and 131 females) were selected from a public university in Ondo State, Nigeria. Their ages ranged from 17 to 29 years with a Mean of 23.10 (SD = 5.10). Standardized questionnaires were used for data collection. Two hypotheses were tested using simple linear regression and independent t-test. The results showed that undergraduates who had higher level of computer self-efficacy were less likely to experience CBT anxiety (β =-.41; p < .01). Female undergraduates (M = 65.74) reported higher level of CBT anxiety than their male counterparts (M = 52.43). Therefore, to reduce computer-based test anxiety among undergraduates, we suggest that university managements should organize psychological training that would help enhance undergraduates (especially female undergraduates) computer self-efficacy.

However, earlier studies on employees of postconsolidation banks in Nigeria paid less research attention to this negative job attitude. In particular, little research attention was paid to the influence of job satisfaction, social support, and emotional intelligence on turnover intention among bank employees in Nigeria. This present study therefore investigated the influence of job satisfaction, social support, and emotional intelligence on turnover intention among post-consolidation bank employees in Nigeria. A total of 215 bank employees (106 males; 109 females) from 4 commercial banks in Lagos, Nigeria whose ages ranged from 26 to 55 with mean age of 19 years (SD = 3.19) participated in this study. Validated scales were used for data collection. Multiple regression analysis was used to test the study hypotheses. The result showed that job satisfaction (β =-0.30; t = 5.43; p < 0.05), social support (β =-0.25; t =-3.12; p < 0.05), and emotional intelligence (β =-0.36; t =-5.88; p < 0.01) significantly and independently predicted turnover intention among bank employees. Furthermore, the results showed that the three psychological factors (i.e., job satisfaction, social support, and emotional intelligence) had a joint influence on turnover intention [F (1, 211) = 23.43; p < 0.05]. Therefore, management and human resource personnel of various post-consolidation banks in Nigeria should design intervention strategies using the variables implicated in this study to reduce turnover intention of their employees.

Three hundred and ninety three participants (192 males and 201 females) selected from a public university in Ondo State, Nigeria using a purposive sampling technique, participated in the study. They responded to measures of test anxiety and achievement motivation. Three hypotheses were tested using moderated hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Results showed that test anxiety had a negative impact on academic performance (β = –.23;p< .05). Achievement motivation had a positive impact on academic performance (β = .38;p< .05). Also, achievement motivation significantly moderated the relationship between test anxiety and academic performance (β = .10;p< .01). These findings suggest that university management should design appropriate psycho-educational interventions that would enhance students’ achievement motivation.

Their ages ranged from 24 to 39 (M = 34.09, SD = 7.49). Data were collected using self-report questionnaires. Results of the mediation analysis showed that work engagement was positively related to work-family conflict (β = .28; p < .05). Work overload (β = .21; p < .05) and emotional demands (β = .37; p < .05) were positively related to work-family conflict respectively. Work overload mediated the association between work engagement and work-family conflict (β = .10; p < .05). Similarly, emotional demands mediated the relationship between work engagement and work-family conflict (β =-.11; p < .05). Therefore, it would be beneficial for organisation to optimize the job demands placed on working mothers.

Data were collected from 391 (198 male and 193 female) police personnel in various police divisions in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. The results of moderated hierarchical regression analysis showed that PCB ( β = .17, p < .05) and expressive suppression ( β = .22, p < .01) were positively related to police corruption. However, cognitive reappraisal ( β = −.26, p < .05) was negatively associated with police corruption. Finally, whereas cognitive reappraisal ( β = −.10, p < .05) buffers the positive relationship between PCB and police corruption, expressive suppression exacerbates this relationship ( β = .19 , p < .01). These findings suggest the need for cognitive reappraisal training for police personnel.

This study was a cross-sectional survey study, in which 277 (males = 126; females = 151) bank employees were selected from branches of some commercial banks in the capital city of Ondo State, Nigeria, using a convenience sampling technique. Results of the hierarchical multiple regression analysis indicated that bank employees with higher emotional intelligence and positive affectivity tend to utilize deep acting while those with low emotional intelligence and negative affectivity tend to utilize surface acting. These findings have implications for training, recruitment, and selection exercises.

A cross-sectional survey design was adopted while a total of 207 employees selected from two commercial banks in Nigeria using accidental sampling technique participated in the study. The participants were made of 113 (54.6%) males and 94 (45.4%) females. Their ages ranged between 26 and 47 years with a mean of 33.35 and standard deviation of 3.87. A structured questionnaire with three sections was used for data collection. Three hypotheses were tested using t-test of independent mean. The results showed that need for achievement [t (205) = 2.07, p < 0.05] and need for power [t (205) = 16.79, p < .001] significantly influenced knowledge sharing intention, while need for affiliation did not [t (205) = 1.05, p > 0.05]. These findings suggested the need for human resource personnel of various banks in Nigeria to design recruitment and selection strategies that can help them identify employees with high need for achievement and need for power; since they are more motivated to share their knowledge.

Their ages ranged from 26 to 49 years with a Mean of 37.08 (SD = 9.44).Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was utilized to test the study hypotheses. Resultsshowed that PCB was positively related to workplace deviance (β = 0.41; p < .05) andnegatively related to job satisfaction (β = -0.32; p < .05). Job satisfaction had a negativeimpact on workplace deviance (β = -0.29; p < .01). Finally, job satisfaction mediated therelationship between PCB and workplace deviance (β = 0.11; t = 5.43; p < .01). These findingssuggest that if police management can fulfill police officers’ psychological contract, thiswould enhance their job satisfaction, and in turn reduce their tendency of engaging inworkplace deviance.

However, little is known about the factors that can moderate this relationship. Using job demands-resources model as a theoretical framework, this study examined the moderating roles of job demands and resources in the relation between work engagement and work-family conflict among a sample of 156 working mothers in Nigeria. Their ages ranged between 24 and 39 years (M = 34.09; SD = 7.49). Data were analyzed using moderated hierarchal regression analysis. Results showed that work engagement was positively related to work-family conflict. Job demands and resources significantly moderated the relationship between work engagement and work-family conflict, such that highly work engaged working mothers who experience high job demands with high job resources reported low work-family conflict. The findings suggest that organizations can reduce the negative effect of work engagement on work-family conflict among their employees by reducing or optimizing job demands and providing adequate job resources.

The participants were 232 employees of a Nigerian public sector organisation (125 males and 107 females). The employees completed measures of workplace deviance, psychological contract breach, feelings of violation, and emotional intelligence. Results of the moderated hierarchical multiple regression analysis indicated that psychological contract breach was positively related to feelings of violation and workplace deviance. Emotional intelligence significantly buffered the negative effect of psychological contract breach on feelings of violation and workplace deviance. This implies that emotionally intelligent employees who perceived contract breach are less likely to experience feelings of violation and engage in workplace deviance. Emotional regulation appears to reliably moderate between breach-outcome relationships.

Recent research has shown that employees who are highly engaged at work are more likely to suffer from high work–family conflict. As employees’ engagement is highly valuable to organisations, it would be useful to identify variables that mitigate this negative impact so that both employees and the organisation can benefit from this positive work behaviour.Research purpose: The study examined the moderating roles of work-family conflict self-efficacy and resilience on the relationship between work engagement and work-family conflict among female nurses in Nigeria.Motivation for the study: While prior research has established that work engagement is associated with higher work-family conflict, less research attention has been paid on the factors that can moderate or buffer this relationship. This study was therefore conducted in response to calls for empirical research on the potential moderators between e...
