Easter Fun Die Cut Pack

You can find the matching
Easter Fun Die Cut Pack HERE.

Here's my first project:

I created a wooden sign using the Easter Title Banner for my project.
I took a 9.25" x 24" board and stained it. Next I added a dry brush coat of white chalk paint.

I then cut the Easter Title Banner
out of vinyl and applied to my sign.
I then painted with yellow chalk paint.
After some dry time I removed the vinyl stencil.

I cut the eggs from the Easter Fun Paper Collection and
EASTER from the Easter Title Banner  in brown paper.
I inked the edges of the patterned paper.

This next step is a game changer for me!
I applied a thin layer of modge podge on the back of my paper
and applied to my sign. I finished off with some button accents.
This is the first time I added paper to a wood sign
and it worked perfect!

For my second project I created a two page Easter Layout:

I used the Easter Fun Die Cut Pack.

For the right side of my layout I cut a large Geometric Easter Egg
and added papers behind it from the Easter Fun Paper Collection.

Hope you liked my projects!

Bunny Challenge!

It's Challenge time for Miss Kate Cuttables and the theme this month is all about Bunnies!

I used this Easter Bunny SVG for my project.

I cut the bunny at 11.5" high so it just fit on my 12 x 12 Cameo mat.
I did not cut the grass or the egg. I wanted the bunny to hold a plastic egg so I can load it up with a few chocolates and some CA$H.

I secured the egg with some tape.
Here's another look at the bunny:

Easter Decor

It's my turn on the Miss Kate Cuttables Blog today and I'm sharing a fun Easter Decor project. Who's ready for Spring? I AM!

Before we check out my project don't forget to grab the Freebie of the Day from the Miss Kate Cuttables Website.

Here's my Easter Decor Project:

First thing I did was paint my wooden round. I have been wanting to try the buffalo plaid style for a really long time and finally gave it a try! (Search YouTube for tutorials)
Here's a look at my plaid pattern:

I then planned out my wording and the leaf accents...I wanted to keep them simple.
I used just the "Easter" portion from this Easter Title.

I used the only the green leaf layer from this Spring Wreath SVG.

I placed just the elements I wanted to use in my cameo software and placed the Easter on top of the wreath and subtracted the wreath so they would not overlap. I cut this from vinyl, applied it to the sign and used chalk paint and a foam brush to add the green and pink.

Since the background pattern was a bit busy I was not happy with the contrast of the Easter and leaves in the wreath. I first decided to do a solid fine point sharpie around the elements then decided to do a line/dot pattern. It's a bit less forgiving and I like the look.
Here's my work in progress...

I experimented at the top of my sign where I knew my flower and bow would cover up.
I added my flower and ribbons to the top and placed it on a stand. Super happy and love the bright spring colors.

Thanks for stopping by today!

MKC ~ Flower Challenge

Spring has finally sprung here in Western Pennsylvania! It has been a long winter and I'm so happy to have nice weather. Today I'm sharing my Easter layout from 2017.
It features flowers which is the theme for the Miss Kate Cuttables May Challenge.

Here's a look at my two page layout: (click on it to get a better view)

I used the Easter Flowers file for the flower accents.

Love how the flowers also surround the Easter Egg.
The file is called Easter Egg in Flowers.

I

The last paper piecing is called Easter Eggs Title. (I left off the flowers around the title)
I love to paper piece and Miss Kate files go together so nicely!

Stop over on the Facebook Page or Blog to check out the design team flower projects!
Happy Spring!!

Easter Egg Hunt Layout

Hello! Happy Spring! I'm sharing over on the Miss Kate Cuttables Blog today.

Here is my single page Easter Egg Hunt layout:

Just love the cute title. It's called Easter Egg Hunt Title. It was fun paper piecing it together.

I also cut this bunny on my Cameo. It's from the Bunny Silhouette Set.  (I added the bow)

Hope you liked my layout today and wishing you a Happy Easter!

Miss Kate Cuttable's Spring Challenge

Hi! Happy Spring (as it is snowing outside today here in Pittsburgh). The weather is not cooperating but I know Spring weather will be here soon.

There is another challenge over on the Miss Kate Cuttable's Galleria FB page. It's all about Spring!

For my project I created a 2 page layout with photos from Easter 2015.

For the border across the bottom I used the Tulip Border

For the right page I used the Easter Traditions Title

Scrappin' Easter

Hey Everyone - Hope you had a good weekend. I'm sure you took a bunch of photos for Easter and I have a layout to share with you if you are looking for some scrapping ideas.

(give it a click for a closeup view)

I used the title from this Miss Kate Cuttables File entitled: Easter Borders

The flowers and eggs are from the file entitled: Easter Egg with Flowers
I modified it slightly an did not use all the layers supplied in the file.

Here is a closeup of one of the flowers:

There’s a challenge over on the Miss Kate Cuttables Galleria FB Page - go check it out and post before 4/27!

Thanks for stopping by today - have a great week!

Easter Treats

Two blog posts in two days! Wishing everyone a Happy Easter. Seems like lately I've been speed crafting. I remember back when I went to art school I'd sometimes procrastinate and work all night to get a project done. Well now in my life I'm not procrastinating I'm just busy!

Here are my Easter Treats created in about an hour (Easter Morning):

I cut the One Piece Egg Basket from the Easter Treats SVG Kit from Fleurette Bloom.
My patterned paper from Echo Park was rather thin paper so I cut the Egg Basket from sold card stock and cut my patterned paper in an oval shape and applied to the sold card stock.

I added some ribbon and also cut the tag from the same kit. I just hand lettered the tags.

Here is a look at the entire kit - It’s fabulous for Easter and Spring Projects.

It’s a sunny day where I live - hope it’s nice where you are.

Happy Easter Peeps!

Hello Everyone! Hope you have having a fantastic Easter weekend. I had a great time planning my son’s 4th grade Spring Party yesterday. When planning a party I like to work with a theme and our theme was a peep party. The little bunny peeps are so popular now.

For my projects I used the Peeps Bunnies file from Fleurette Bloom.

I used the file to create the party bags. I printed them out on 8.5" x 11" paper and added to bag.
I did the peeps in different colors.

For the craft I picked up cups at the Dollar Tree.

I cut the peep file out of vinyl on my Cameo and also cut dots in various colors.
I added transfer tape to the bunnies and the kids did a great job applying the peeps to the cups.
I took cloths for the kids to hold the cups in place.

The dots did not require the transfer tape.

Here is my Tim with his finished cup. The kids loved the craft.

Here’s a look at the game and snack:

Last but not least I made myself a shirt for the party. Here’s a Pre-Party Selfie :)

I took the Silhouette Fusible Fabric Stabilizer and ironed on to the cotton fabric.

Keep the white backer on and place it face down on the mat.
I cut the peep file from Fleurette Bloom and ironed on to the shirt.
I also cut the wording and bunny outline in the silver heat transfer material.
DON’T FORGET TO MIRROR THE COPY!

I used the offest and internal offset to create the outline of the peeps.

Thanks for stopping by today - Hope you liked my peep party projects!
Have a Happy Easter!
