Subrosian Wilds

The Subrosian Wilds is an area in Oracle of Seasons.[1] It is located to the far west of Subrosia. Within the wilderness is a Treasure Chest containing the precious Blue Ore, used to forge the Iron Shield. The area contains no other objects of note, aside from a Magic Ring. Its exploration is therefore optional.

Geography

In western Subrosia, the Wilds are part of a wooded area that also includes the Treasure Grove to the south. To the north it is bordered by lava spurting from the Subrosian Volcanoes. The area can be accessed from southwestern Subrosia Village.

The inner Wilds are overrun by tall grass and lined by Subrosian trees on all sides; a gap to the northwest constitutes the only entrance. However, the opening is barred by boulders and pitfalls that extend through the Wilds. Use of the Magnetic Glove and "S" Stones are needed to navigate the area. Inside, just east of the opening, Link finds the treasure chest containing Blue Ore. Further in, he shovels up the Magic Ring buried in the southwest corner.

A green-robed Subrosian stands on the outer edge of the trees. He is determined to find the treasure which he knows is somewhere nearby.[2] It is in fact located just on the other side of the trees. Another blue-robed Subrosian can be found enjoying "volcano showers" on the northern edge of the wilderness.[3]
