Special Edition Fish Bone Guitars[note 1] are a set of custom guitars created by Jackson Guitars.[1]

Overview

For the January 2001 issue of Nintendo Power, Nintendo offered a giveaway of a copy of Majora's Mask and the original Special Edition Fish Bone Guitar.[2] It was hand-carved and painted to resemble the Zora Guitar by luthier Dan Lawrence.[3] Six other Special Edition Fish Bone Guitars were created for sale outside of the contest, for a total of seven.[4] They are electric guitars with seven strings.[5]

Trivia

  • With only seven made, the Special Edition Fish Bone Guitar is one of the rarest pieces of The Legend of Zelda merchandise ever produced, with prices reaching as high as US$17,000.[6]

Notes

  1. Each Special Edition Fish Bone Guitar was referred to as Zorax by the creator Dan Lawrence. However, the name given in Nintendo Power takes precedence.
