Mubs is a recurring character in The Legend of Zelda series.[2][3]
Biography
Breath of the Wild
Mubs is a Hylian who resides in Lurelin Village. She runs the Merchant Boat General Store on a Dock, where she sells Fish and other supplies.[4] The Merchant Boat itself carries some of her storage, including extra Armored Porgies and Mighty Porgies.
When Link first speaks to Mubs, she welcomes him to the Merchant Boat and remarks that she has never seen him before.[5] During the day, she says that her fresh Fish are perfect for hot Weather.[6] She also claims that she restocked her Fish that morning.[7] In the evenings, she asks Link if he is shopping for his dinner.[8] At night, she inquires if Link wants a midnight snack.[9] At the end of their conversations, Mubs invites Link to return to the Merchant Boat.[10]
If asked, Mubs tells Link that he can make a purchase by standing in front of her stock and interacting with it.[11] Whenever Link makes a purchase from the Merchant Boat, Mubs will thank him for his business.[12] If Link buys the entirety of one Item, Mubs promises to restock soon.[13] If Link stands on Mubs' products, she yells at him to stop.[14]
Like other General Store managers, Link can sell his own Items to Mubs.[15][16][17][18] When Mubs buys an Item from Link, she will be grateful and encourage him to sell more.[19][20][21][22] After selling to Mubs, she will thank him for his business.[12]
Tears of the Kingdom
Due to Pirates invading Lurelin Village, Mubs was forced to flee the Lurelin Village Store.[23] After arriving in Lookout Landing with Garini, she opened a new General Store with the goal of raising enough Rupees to return home.[24][25]
When Link passes by Mubs, she will recognize him as a newcomer to Lookout Landing.[26] She welcomes him, explaining that despite her General Store looking thrown together, she offers a variety of goods.[24] If Link asks about her hometown, she explains how she was forced to leave.[23] Although she is concerned about Lurelin Village, she is dedicated to selling as much as she can for now.[27]
