Frozen Trouts are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Frozen Trouts are a variety of Frozen Food. Link can make Frozen Trouts by freezing Chillfin Trout, Sizzlefin Trouts, Voltfin Trout, or Stealthfin Trouts with a Freezing Climate or Cold Water.[3] The flavor of the Trouts has been condensed due to being frozen.[1] Eating one restores one Heart to Link's Life Gauge and grants one level of temporary Heat Resistance.[1]

Tears of the Kingdom

Frozen Trouts are again a variety of Frozen Food, which can be made by exposing Chillfin Trouts, Sizzlefin Trouts, Voltfin Trout, or Stealthfin Trouts to a Freezing Climate or Cold Water. Freezing Trouts results in their flavor being condensed.[2] If Link eats a Frozen Trout, one Heart will be healed to his Life Gauge, and he will receive one level of temporary Heat Resistance.[2]
