Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Ingredients are Materials that are used in Recipes to give them additional Added Effects. Most Materials can act as Ingredients, though some lack the necessary synergy to create effective Foods or Elixirs. Insects, Monster Parts and Ancient Materials are effective for making Elixirs whereas meats, seafood, Flowers, vegetables, and Fruits can be used to make various Foods. Wood and Ores do not count as Ingredients and will result in failure when Cooking, producing Rock-Hard Food. Other Ingredients will modify the duration of the Added Effects gained through Cooking.

The following section is not part of the Zelda canon and should not be taken as such.
